Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

[Congratulations, Host. Suicune’s Pleasure Value has increased from 5 to 45. Rewards: 10 bags of Special Golden Nuggets, 5 Special Rare Candies, and 1 Sacred Feather.]

May 21st.

Inside the kitchen.

When the voice suddenly rang out in his mind, Lin Feng froze for a moment.

But the next second, a smile spread across his face.

Ha!

Looks like Ho-Oh really did eat the Heartful Chocolates made from its own feathers.

That was great.

It had even rewarded him with another Sacred Feather.

To be honest, after seeing how powerful the Heartful Chocolates made from the Sacred Feather were, Lin Feng’s desire for more of them had increased considerably.

Forget the effect of improving a Pokémon’s potential.

He had already tested one on Alcremie.

After feeding it an SSS-grade Heartful Chocolate, its potential had risen from Blue to Purple, and all of its individual values had increased by 1.

Two chocolates had raised Primarina’s potential from Purple to Red.

Then, after feeding it one Legendary-grade chocolate, it had risen from Red to Gold.

The effect of this thing was simply ridiculous.

In short, over the past two days, Lin Feng had more or less fed one Heartful Chocolate to every Pokémon around him.

Even Combee, Flabébé, and the others were no exception.

And after seeing Marshadow’s transformation from eating one, combined with the Pleasure Value notification he had just received from Ho-Oh, Lin Feng had come up with a rather ambitious idea.

For now, that idea was mainly aimed at Pokémon such as Gardevoir, Serperior, Dragonite, and Salamence, Pokémon that had already reached the Champion level or even surpassed it.

Once a Pokémon reached the Champion level, even Special Rare Candies no longer had much of an effect.

At that point, Heartful Chocolates could essentially take over the role of Rare Candies.

Once Gardevoir reached Level 99, she could use this to break through her limits too!

Thinking about it, Lin Feng couldn’t help glancing at Gardevoir’s status panel again.

[Pokémon: Gardevoir]

[Gender: Female]

[Ability: Telepathy]

[Potential: Gold]

[Individual Values: ...]

[Strength: Level 94–96]

[Moves: Growl, Confusion, Mystical Fire, Double Team, Misty Terrain, Disarming Voice, Psychic, Draining Kiss, Moonblast...]

[Friendship: 100]

[Pleasure Value: 60]

Hmm...

After reaching this level, Gardevoir’s energy growth had clearly slowed down considerably.

But that was understandable.

If her current strength were converted into the game’s power system, she should probably be considered a battle legend by now.

That was the kind of height Red only reached much later in his journey, right?

”Gardevoir?”

Gardevoir, who was washing vegetables, noticed Lin Feng’s gaze and turned around to look at him.

”Ahem. Nothing, nothing. I was just looking at you.”

Caught staring, Lin Feng awkwardly coughed twice.

Then he squatted down beside Gardevoir and began washing the vegetables with her.

Although they could easily be cleaned with Psychic abilities, when they weren’t busy, washing vegetables by hand every now and then was also a way for him to remember what life had been like before he possessed supernatural abilities.

Today, they were washing eggplants.

He was planning to make grilled eggplant for Blaziken.

The seasonal vegetables in May were eggplants, loofah, and garlic shoots.

Speaking of which, it was already nearing the end of May.

Lin Feng had taken over the Pokémon Nursery at the beginning of July last year.

Counting the days, he had already been running the place for almost a year.

”Gardevoir...”

Hearing what Lin Feng said, Gardevoir didn’t pay much attention to it.

She simply figured that Lin Feng had suddenly gotten emotional.

It was perfectly normal.

Although Lin Feng now had so many Pokémon around him and was capable of taking good care of all of them, he was still just a teenager.

Sometimes, emotions simply welled up unexpectedly.

After the vegetables were washed, Latias, who had transformed into her human form, entered the kitchen carrying a Storage Ball.

Rotom was following beside her.

”Rotom, we’re back from shopping~!”

The moment Rotom entered the kitchen, it immediately announced the reason for their outing.

There were simply too many Pokémon living in the house.

Although the Berry orchard could now support so many Pokémon, they obviously couldn’t survive on Berries, Energy Cubes, vegetables, and rice every single day.

Meat was indispensable.

As for fish, Pokémon like Alolan Ninetales could catch them themselves.

But things like chicken, beef, and pork could only be purchased.

There were simply too many carnivorous Pokémon in the household.

Dragonite and Salamence, for example, were practically incapable of living without meat.

Even Serperior enjoyed eating it.

In the past, Lin Feng had always bought all of it himself.

Recently, however, a department store had been built outside Wutong Town.

Although it wasn’t fully established yet, there were already quite a few goods being sold inside.

So Lin Feng had handed this task over to Latias.

His main purpose was to let her learn more about the human world.

To prevent any accidents, he had also asked Rotom to accompany her at first.

”Okay, okay.”

Lin Feng nodded and took the Storage Ball from Latias.

Then he casually asked, ”What did you buy?”

”Beef... pork...”

Latias counted on her fingers.

Her speech was still somewhat stiff, but she managed to get the words out smoothly.

That was precisely why Lin Feng wanted Latias to go shopping outside.

He wanted her to learn human language so that she wouldn’t have to go ”Woo woo woo...” every time she wanted to speak.

And with her currently wearing Kanon’s appearance, it always gave him a strange sense of guilt, as though he were bullying someone.

”Good job~!”

Lin Feng took out the various cuts of meat that Latias and Rotom had purchased.

Then he brought Latias and Gardevoir over and began preparing them.

Just as they were nearly finished, the female Indeedee came in from outside.

[Indeedee, Indeedee~!]

(Hoopa says the chicken coop is finished.)

[Oh?]

Lin Feng’s eyes immediately lit up.

The chicken coop was something he had planned to build a long time ago.

The main reason was, once again, the problem of meat.

There were simply too many carnivorous Pokémon in the household.

Animals like pigs, cattle, and sheep were too large to raise conveniently.

But smaller livestock such as chickens and fish could be raised by themselves.

This year, Lin Feng had already released quite a few fish into the reservoir.

Whenever he wanted to eat fish, he could simply have Alolan Ninetales catch some.

He had also installed nets at the junction where the river connected to the irrigation channels, preventing the fish he raised from escaping.

It also stopped Alolan Ninetales from constantly running over to Uncle Liang’s place, opening its mouth and demanding free fish.

As for what the fish ate, that was simple enough.

Lin Feng had specially prepared fish food for them.

The food’s effects were mainly designed to make the fish taste better and grow faster.

When he stepped outside the kitchen, Captain Hoopa was waiting nearby.

A Machamp stood beside him.

Lin Feng walked over and immediately saw the newly completed chicken coop.
