Several question marks practically appeared above Lin Feng’s head.

”They followed me the entire way... and even greeted me?”

”And the one waving at me... that Bewear was actually Mew?”

He could only sigh helplessly before nodding.

”You win.”

”You really win.”

φ(゜▽゜*)

”Mew~”

Ignoring Mew’s triumphant giggling as it floated through the air, Lin Feng turned toward Lugia.

Now that Mew had returned to its original form, Lugia’s hostility had visibly faded.

Inside, however...

It was caught between shock and speechlessness.

The shocking part was that the tiny pink Pokémon could perfectly imitate its appearance.

The speechless part was that it had transformed into Lugia simply because Lugia had blocked a human’s path.

And to make things even stranger...

That little creature had actually been prepared to fight it over something so trivial.

It was...

A very strange Pokémon.

Especially considering it had helped Lugia before.

”It’s alright.”

”Lugia doesn’t mean any harm.”

”It only wanted to ask me something.”

Lin Feng smiled as he gently stroked the Mew that had flown back onto his shoulder.

”Mew!”

With a little huff, Mew slipped out of his hands and flew straight onto Lugia’s head.

Floating there proudly, it pointed a tiny paw downward while loudly scolding the Sea Guardian.

Its meaning was obvious.

Why were you blocking his way?

Lin Feng covered his forehead.

Mew really was becoming more and more spoiled.

Lugia, which seemed considerably more reasonable, calmly replied through telepathy.

”I merely wished to ask him a few questions.”

This conversation, however, was directed solely at Mew.

Even Lugia had no idea how to deal with the mischievous little Mythical Pokémon.

”Mew?”

”Fine then.”

”Go ahead and ask.”

Only then did Lugia shift its gaze back to Lin Feng.

It finally voiced the question that had been bothering it all this time.

”Why did my power appear within your Pokémon?”

”That Salamence from before also seemed to inherit a portion of my strength.”

Lin Feng didn’t try to hide anything.

”During the incident at Shamouti Island, when the Three Legendary Birds threw the world into chaos...”

”One of your Silver Feathers was given to Mew.”

”Mew also collected feathers connected to the Three Birds nearby.”

”Using those feathers, I created special Pokémon food.”

”When my Pokémon eat the corresponding dishes, they inherit abilities connected to you.”

Lugia stared blankly.

”...?”

At first...

It thought the explanation sounded reasonable.

After all...

Mew had indeed asked it for one of its Silver Feathers before.

And Silver Feathers really had been scattered throughout the world.

If someone courageous and worthy found one...

Once acknowledged by the feather, Lugia would cross the sea to meet their challenge.

If they truly earned its recognition...

It might even choose to fight alongside them for a time.

In that sense...

Its immense power was indeed attached to those feathers.

But...

How did that become...

Eating the feather grants Lugia’s power?

That sounded...

A little...

Ridiculous.

”I know it sounds unbelievable.”

”But that’s simply how my special ability works.”

Yes.

Ridiculous was exactly the right word.

Even Lugia felt Lin Feng’s choice of words was strangely accurate.

”Mew!”

”Exactly!”

Mew nodded enthusiastically beside him.

After all...

Its own fur had been plucked countless times as ingredients.

”...”

Lugia fell silent.

Obviously...

It still wasn’t convinced.

Seeing its doubtful expression, Lin Feng smiled.

”For example...”

”This Size Shift Pokéblock.”

”If you eat it, your body can become smaller.”

He took a Pokéblock from his storage pouch.

Without hesitation, he stepped off Dragonite’s back and landed lightly before Lugia’s enormous head.

Looking carefully...

Although Lugia’s body was unbelievably massive...

Its head actually wasn’t disproportionately large.

Compared to the rest of its body, it was surprisingly compact.

”Mew!”

”Try it!”

Mew eagerly urged.

Lugia glanced at Lin Feng...

Then looked sideways at the tiny Mew sitting proudly atop its head.

In the end...

Its curiosity won.

Using Psychic, it gently floated the tiny Pokéblock from Lin Feng’s hand and placed it into its mouth.

The cube was so small that it barely felt larger than something caught between its teeth.

It slipped down its throat almost instantly.

Before Lugia even had time to taste it...

Its expression suddenly changed.

Because...

It genuinely felt its body beginning to change.

It felt as though it could freely alter its own size.

Moments later...

Its enormous body rapidly shrank.

The towering Sea Guardian became smaller and smaller until it stood only about five meters tall.

The overwhelming pressure that had accompanied its colossal form also faded dramatically.

”...?!”

Lugia stared at its own body in disbelief.

Then it instinctively looked down at the ocean below.

Its reflection...

Really had become several times smaller.

And nothing seemed abnormal.

”Mew!”

”See? See?”

Watching Lugia’s stunned expression, Mew puffed out its chest proudly, as though it had personally invented the Pokéblock.

After the initial shock faded...

Lugia’s expression became extremely complicated.

This human...

Actually possessed such an incredible ability.

It was terrifying.

That meant...

As long as he possessed materials connected to Legendary Pokémon...

He could allow other Pokémon to borrow the unique powers of nearly any legendary being.

”If you eat another one...”

”You’ll return to your original size.”

Lin Feng produced another Pokéblock.

Lugia tilted its head.

”Can I become even smaller instead?”

The unexpected question caught Lin Feng completely off guard.

Then...

His eyes lit up.

The cooking description for the Size Shift Pokéblock had never stated that its effect was unique.

Previously...

His own Pokémon had only eaten a second one to restore their original size.

None of them had ever tried eating a third...

Or shrinking twice in succession.

Lugia’s question suddenly opened an entirely new possibility.

His thoughts immediately drifted elsewhere.

When he returned home...

He would definitely give Giratina another Size Shift Pokéblock.

Maybe...

It could shrink even further.

”Theoretically...”

”Yes.”

Lin Feng nodded.

”But I’m not completely certain.”

”Shrinking reduces energy consumption, but it doesn’t decrease the total amount of energy inside your body.”

”I’m not sure whether repeated shrinking might produce side effects.”

Still...

If Lugia was willing to become his test subject...

That would certainly answer the question.

”Very well.”

Without hesitation, Lugia used Psychic again.

The second Pokéblock floated into its mouth.

The same mysterious sensation appeared once more.

Its body shrank again...

Although the reduction was noticeably smaller than before.

After shrinking a little over another half in size...

The effect finally stopped.

The once towering five-meter Sea Guardian now stood only a little over two meters tall.

Its height was now roughly comparable to Dragonite’s.
