From what Lin Feng remembered of the original story, Lucario would eventually become one with the Tree of Beginning through the power of Aura.

Ironically...

At this point in time, Lucario still misunderstood its former master, Sir Aaron.

It never understood why Aaron had sealed it inside the staff all those years ago.

Only at the end of the story, after witnessing the memories preserved within the Time Flower, did Lucario finally learn the truth.

Only then did the resentment it had carried for so many years finally disappear.

In other words...

The solution was actually quite simple.

All someone had to do was bring Lucario to the heart of the Tree of Beginning and use Aura to resonate with the Time Flower.

Lin Feng shook his head.

In the end, he decided not to interfere.

A whole year still remained before that would happen.

When the time came, reminding Mew would be enough.

Instead of entering Cameron Palace with the crowds, Lin Feng turned and walked toward the gigantic tree rising into the heavens behind it.

Everyone called it the Tree of Beginning.

But in reality...

It wasn’t truly a tree.

It was an enormous rock-based lifeform.

Led by Mew, the group flew toward one of the upper regions of the colossal structure.

Massive stone pillars crisscrossed between its branches.

From those natural pathways, they could clearly see that the gigantic tree contained an entire ecosystem within itself.

Countless Pokémon lived there.

Some were even ancient fossil Pokémon.

Aerodactyl...

Lin Feng spotted one gliding through the air.

Surprisingly, it was incredibly gentle.

Even after noticing their arrival, it showed no intention of attacking.

The ground was covered with beautiful translucent crystals that shimmered beneath the sunlight.

The moment they landed...

The Eevee-shaped Mew floated out of Lin Feng’s arms.

It flew to one of the crystals and lightly touched it.

The crystal glowed faintly, as though exchanging information with it.

Only then did Mew casually wave toward everyone.

”It’s alright!”

Lugia couldn’t help letting out a quiet sigh of admiration.

”What incredibly dense natural energy...”

Everything in this place...

Whether Pokémon or plants...

Was far more vibrant than anywhere else.

”Mew~”

”Of course.”

”This is my home.”

Mew proudly puffed out its chest.

Before bringing everyone here, it had already informed the Tree of Beginning that these visitors were its guests.

They weren’t intruders.

In truth...

Even if Mew hadn’t said anything...

The Tree of Beginning likely wouldn’t have rejected Lin Feng.

It had recognized him the moment he arrived.

Despite the fact they had never met before.

Naturally carefree as always, Mew never thought much about it.

Floating through the air, it impatiently urged Lin Feng onward.

”Mew, Mew!”

”Alright, alright.”

”I’ll let everyone out now.”

Lin Feng smiled.

He took out Serperior’s Poké Ball, followed by the others, and released every one of his Pokémon.

”Serperior?”

”Sweet...”

”Milu...”

The unfamiliar surroundings instantly caught everyone’s attention.

The first thing they noticed...

Was the mysterious energy surrounding them.

It was impossible to describe with words.

Yet it felt unbelievably comforting.

Almost instinctively...

Every Pokémon felt that living here for a long time would bring tremendous benefits.

Even Lin Feng was astonished.

As he scanned the surroundings...

He noticed that even an ordinary Caterpie crawling across the bark possessed at least Blue-tier Potential.

It was unbelievable.

”Ninetales...”

”This feels amazing...”

Alolan Ninetales let out a contented cry.

Nearby, Meowscarada curiously watched flocks of Vivillon flutter gracefully between the blossoms growing upon the Tree of Beginning.

Primarina and Milotic were equally captivated.

It was their first time witnessing scenery like this.

Their eyes sparkled with wonder.

The moment the three Eeveelutions appeared...

Leafeon’s expression immediately became one of complete satisfaction.

Tsareena and Steenee looked around in amazement.

The natural energy here far surpassed anything they had experienced back in Alola.

Only Serperior reacted differently.

The moment it emerged...

It stood frozen in place.

The Tree of Beginning...

Why...

Did this aura of nature...

Feel both familiar...

And unfamiliar at the same time?

It couldn’t explain it.

Yet something about this place stirred memories deep within its soul.

Its gaze gradually became distant.

Mew floated high above everyone, grinning happily.

If the Breeding House gave everyone the feeling of a true home...

Then the Tree of Beginning gave them an entirely different sense of belonging.

The Tree of Beginning was connected to the entire world.

It was known as the First Tree.

The first life to exist in this world.

Nearly every living thing ultimately depended upon it for survival.

Naturally...

All life instinctively felt close to it.

If one day the Tree of Beginning were ever to collapse...

The entire world would begin falling apart shortly afterward.

”Mew... Mew...”

Mew happily explained everything to the group.

The Pokémon listened with wide eyes.

None of them could believe that one enormous tree was connected to the fate of the entire world.

”Alright, alright.”

Just as Mew proudly prepared to reveal even more...

Including its own symbiotic relationship with the Tree of Beginning...

Lin Feng interrupted it.

”That’s enough.”

”Don’t talk about those things.”

The Tree of Beginning was simply too important.

Although no outsiders were present...

The fewer beings who knew its true secrets...

The better.

Honestly...

Even Lin Feng sometimes wished he didn’t know them himself.

Mew’s cheerful expression softened.

It seemed to realize that perhaps it shouldn’t have revealed so much.

It only wanted to share everything it had experienced over the countless years...

To ease the loneliness and sorrow it had quietly carried.

Since it couldn’t continue talking about that...

Its mood quickly brightened again as it found another topic.

”Mew...”

”Then...”

”I’ll take you to see my toys!”

Over the years...

It had collected countless treasures.

Surely there would be something that both Lin Feng and everyone else would love.

Floating excitedly ahead, Mew eagerly led the way.

All of the Pokémon immediately followed after it.

Lin Feng was just about to do the same...

When his footsteps suddenly stopped.

Serperior...

Was still standing exactly where it had been.

Motionless.

Its eyes remained unfocused, as though lost in thought.

Lin Feng was about to ask what was wrong.

Then...

A gentle breeze drifted through the branches.

It felt like the resonance between kindred spirits.

Like the melody of flowing water answering towering mountains.

Like the warm praise of an elder gently encouraging a younger generation.

At that very moment...

The entire Tree of Beginning began to glow with a faint golden radiance.

The soft light spread like the rising dawn.

It quickly flowed through every energy crystal scattered across the immense tree.

Then...

Every ray of light converged toward a single destination.

Toward Serperior.

As if from the very beginning...

The Tree of Beginning had already acknowledged it.
