Get Stronger by Pleasing Pokémon? Who Needs to Be a Trainer!

”Serperior?”

Serperior stood frozen for a moment. When it realized what the topic was, it lowered its head in mild disinterest.

”Serperior…”

It meant that any time was fine.

It simply was not very interested in the matter.

Although Lin Feng wanted to chat with Serperior, seeing its lack of enthusiasm, he could only sit back down on the bed helplessly and continue watching the cartoon with the Eevees.

At the same time, he used the moment to sort out his next plans.

First, he needed to take Hydreigon to destroy one of Team Rocket’s Pokémon research facilities.

For that, he would have to ask Mewtwo for the exact location. This operation was not something to take lightly. Given Team Rocket’s technological capabilities, he could not be careless.

Not only would he need Mewtwo’s assistance, but if possible, he would also need to secretly request help from Giratina. And if there was a chance, it would be best to involve Mew as well.

In addition, Mew should remain in the Distortion World as backup and an ambush asset.

Lin Feng thought to himself.

As the saying goes, caution is the source of safety.

Then there was the World Tree.

Lin Feng was somewhat worried about that.

It had already been more than twenty days since Mew left, so he had mentioned taking Serperior to check whether something had happened there.

But he was not overly anxious.

Because Jirachi had not entered his dreams, it likely meant Mew was simply playing somewhere and having too much fun.

Otherwise, Jirachi would have already informed him.

Finally, there was Chansey.

Wait…

What was her name again?

Lin Feng’s mind went blank for a moment. He could not recall the girl’s name.

However, he clearly remembered her Pokémon.

A Delphox, and a Gible that had once been driven into overheating rage by the Alolan Ninetales.

He was not even sure whether that Gible had evolved yet.

Chansey. When would it appear?

Lin Feng picked up his phone and checked.

Because Blissey is born from Chansey carrying a Lucky Incense, and that plant blooms in spring.

After searching, he found that the maturation period for Lucky Incense was around this time.

In the Eastern region, it mainly occurs from after March 15 through April.

After learning this, Lin Feng was about to contact that Gible’s trainer.

Meanwhile, the Alolan Ninetales and the Eevees, having finished the final episode of their show, came over chattering excitedly.

They eagerly recounted the ending to Lin Feng.

In the finale, in order to protect its beloved Pikachu friend, Captain Pikachu unleashed a devastating Ten Million Volt attack, defeating the evil Pikachu mercenaries alongside their allied Steelix and Nidoking.

But under the overwhelming force of the attack, Captain Pikachu’s mask shattered.

What followed was a tearful reunion that left the audience deeply moved.

No one could believe it. The Pikachu who was usually the worst performer in the village, the one who always went missing when enemies invaded, was actually the legendary Captain Pikachu.

At that moment, emotions of gratitude, disbelief, and regret filled everyone’s hearts.

The plot twist gave the naive Eevees and Alolan Ninetales a strong emotional payoff.

Honestly, even though the story was cliché, the moment when the so-called ”coward” finally revealed his courage was still surprisingly moving.

Lin Feng could only put down his phone and join their noise for a while.

Just as he was about to tell them to sleep, Leafeon suddenly jumped down from the bed.

It quietly approached Serperior.

But Serperior, who possessed Aura-like perception and was the strongest in the house, immediately sensed its approach even without trying.

”Serperior…”

Serperior raised its serpentine gaze, as if asking why Leafeon had come over.

But this frightened Leafeon, who had been nervously watching from a distance.

It hurriedly shook its leafy ears and stammered, ”Eevee… Eevee!”

Then, noticing Lin Feng nearby, it quickly ran behind him and lowered its head.

The sudden reaction made him pause.

A faint grassy scent drifted through the air.

Lin Feng looked down.

It was Leafeon’s natural fragrance.

”What’s wrong? Still shy?” Lin Feng asked, lifting Leafeon gently into his arms.

After evolution, Eevee’s body had grown significantly. He could no longer simply scoop it up like before. Now it felt like holding a medium-sized dog, so he placed it on his lap instead.

Leafeon was then placed facing Serperior.

Unexpectedly, it became even more nervous. It covered its face with its forelegs and ears, completely refusing to look at Serperior.

Even its voice became flustered.

”Eevee… Eevee…”

Lin Feng froze.

A bad thought suddenly surfaced in his mind.

No way.

No way…

Could Leafeon have fallen in love with Serperior?

Although Pokémon generally had simple minds, they were still capable of forming attachments and even breeding.

A well-known example was the Oshawott from the Unova region who traveled with Ash. At different times, it had developed crushes on three different Pokémon: Emolga, Purrloin, and Meloetta.

That thought made Lin Feng quickly check Leafeon’s gender again.

Female.

This was not good.

Serperior was also female.

Lin Feng hurriedly pulled Leafeon’s paws away from its face. Just as he was about to lecture it, he realized everything he had just assumed might be completely wrong.

He could not jump to conclusions.

With that in mind, he looked into Leafeon’s eyes.

Those amber eyes showed nervousness.

Lin Feng calmed himself and asked, ”Leafeon, why are you shy when you see Serperior?”

”Eevee?”

Leafeon froze, then its pale yellow face visibly turned red.

It muttered incoherently, words too messy to understand.

Lin Feng: ”?”

The more Serperior leaned closer in curiosity, the more flustered Leafeon became.

Lin Feng studied its expression carefully.

Shyness, admiration, anticipation… but most clearly, respect.

Then it clicked.

Serperior slowly extended a vine.

”Serperior?” (What’s wrong?)

Unexpectedly, Leafeon suddenly shouted, ”Eevee! Eevee!” (I will study hard and learn from Big Sister Serperior!)

It looked exactly like a little girl admiring an older sister, full of admiration and dependence.

Serperior: ”???”

”Wuff?”

Alolan Ninetales also came over, and after hearing Leafeon’s words, its expression changed.

Wait, aren’t I the sister?

Why are you suddenly learning from Serperior instead?

But when it looked at Serperior, it lost its words.

Thinking back to when it was younger, it had even been held by Serperior.

Back then, Serperior even had arms…

Seeing this, Lin Feng finally relaxed.

It was a bit overly dramatic, but at least it was harmless.

Serperior, however, was completely stunned, unsure how to respond.
