Chapter 444: Chapter 441: Celebration Banquet

Lu Kai let out a cold laugh, his gaze towards Ren Wenshan becoming dangerous: ”If there’s any mistake this time again, you know the consequences!”

Ren Wenshan hastily assured him: ”Rest assured, Young Master Lu. There definitely won’t be any mistakes this time!”

Lu Kai nodded, looking at the confident Ren Wenshan, and said indifferently: ”Let’s hope so!”

After speaking, he cleared his throat just as he was about to speak, but he noticed Ren Wenshan seemed on the verge of tears, puzzled he asked, ”What’s with your expression? Like you just ate shit!”

Upon hearing Lu Kai’s description of his demeanor, Ren Wenshan almost rushed over to give him a big hug, he truly understood him, wasn’t it just like eating shit?

Seeing Ren Wenshan’s expression of solidarity, Lu Kai recalled the scenes of spitting twice into his mouth, his face couldn’t help but turn red.

”Shit, but it’s also bee shit!”

Ren Wenshan quickly added, fearing the young master of the Lu Family might give him another mouthful.

Lu Kai nodded with a smile, praising him: ”You really let out some good nonsense!”

Ren Wenshan initially felt somewhat relieved seeing Lu Kai’s smile, but after hearing what he said, he suddenly had a new understanding of the young master’s grudges.

Clearly, it was you who said it felt like eating shit, I kindly gave you an out, yet you still harbor resentment?!

Even if I attempted to beautify it to spare myself from swallowing phlegm, it shouldn’t be this way, right? Ren Wenshan kept complaining inwardly.

”Open your mouth!” Lu Kai said with a smile, looking at him.

This time Ren Wenshan learned from last time’s hard lesson, with no hesitation at all, he began slapping his own chubby face.

Watching Ren Wenshan slap his own face until it echoed loudly, Lu Kai cleared his throat.

Ren Wenshan, slapping himself with such force, now had a face as red as a cooked crab, failing to hear Lu Kai’s throat clearing.

Lu Kai cranked the phone volume to the max, pressed the play button.

”Hasay!”

As the sound came from the phone, Lu Kai suddenly charged to Ren Wenshan’s face, startling the latter with the unexpected sound and Lu Kai’s momentum.

Caught off guard, Ren Wenshan was frightened into opening his big mouth.

Seeing the familiar wide yellow teeth, Lu Kai sneered and with precision spat again, hitting the target!

——

The next morning, the energetic young lady Le Yaoyao led her team to a bus parked at the hotel entrance, heading to the banquet venue organized by Ren Wenshan for her company.

Twenty minutes later, the car pulled up softly in front of a three-star hotel.

Ren Wenshan still stood outside personally welcoming them, eagerly approaching as he saw Le Yaoyao and her team get off the bus.

Le Yaoyao shielded her eyes from the sun, looking at Ren Wenshan curiously, why was he wearing a mask in this hot weather?

But since it was his own business, Le Yaoyao didn’t inquire further, exchanged a few pleasantries and followed Ren Wenshan into the hotel.

”President Le, don’t look down on this hotel’s three-star rating. In many ways, it’s better than five stars!”

Ren Wenshan explained while leading the group: ”For instance, the scenery here, nestled between mountain and water with birdsong and fragrant flowers, you’ll witness it soon.”

As the elevator rose, upon reaching the third floor, Ren Wenshan said: ”We’ve arrived, please everyone!”

Le Yaoyao nodded towards Ren Wenshan, leading the way out of the elevator, then she was taken aback, speechless by the sight before her.

Le Yaoyao had expected the elevator would open to a grand decor, but it led to an open space on the mountain.

The others reacted similarly to Le Yaoyao, now truly following her one step at a time.

After walking a few steps, Le Yaoyao heard bird calls nearby, with distant mountain peaks shrouded in mist.

Ren Wenshan conveniently explained: ”That peak is where the Dao Yi Sect is located, later you can visit after the meal.”

Listening to Ren Wenshan’s muffled voice behind the mask, Le Yaoyao felt the leisurely mood shattered, just wishing to quickly finish the banquet and return to Shanghai.

This place was open-air, eating here with tourists from nearby mountains visible, made Le Yaoyao and her team feel uncomfortable.

However, regarding the discomfort of dining, without the privacy of a room, Le Yaoyao actually felt more relieved.

Under broad daylight, surely nothing would happen, right?

Ren Wenshan introduced Le Yaoyao to some prominent figures from Lu Province, she shook hands with them one by one, perplexed by their seemingly warm demeanor yet somehow felt malicious.

Then, dish after dish was served, visually pleasing with wonderful aromas and flavors, enticing Le Yaoyao and her company’s beauties.

Le Yaoyao suddenly felt herself locked under the eager gaze of more than a dozen pairs of eyes.

Keke asked on behalf of the group: ”Yaoyao, you said not to drink water or beverages before, can we eat these dishes?”

Le Yaoyao gulped, tentatively suggesting: ”Maybe we can taste just a little?”

”Yes, yes!”

The surrounding beautiful models nodded rapidly.

”President Le, try this!” Ren Wenshan passed a golden piece of meat to Le Yaoyao’s bowl, saying: ”These are specialties of Lu Province with low-fat content, perfect for you ladies maintaining your figures.”

The beauties immediately returned grateful glances to Ren Wenshan, then began happily feasting.

Le Yaoyao didn’t eat the piece of meat Ren Wenshan had given, but picked another piece herself, which changed his expression a bit, hidden behind the mask.

Admittedly, the local specialties from Lu Province were indeed delightful, making it hard to set down the chopsticks once picked up.

Despite being tempted to eat more, Le Yaoyao restrained herself, and her worries about the drinking encouragement never materialized, rendering her prepared refusal speech useless.

But this was good too, saving trouble!

”How’s the food? Does it suit you beauty’s tastes?” Ren Wenshan inquired.

Whether it was an illusion or not, Le Yaoyao always felt the hidden face of Ren Wenshan behind the mask wasn’t a warm smile!

The models ate and laughed in agreement, thanking Ren Wenshan.

Ren Wenshan’s next words completely confirmed the accuracy of Le Yaoyao’s intuition.

”You beauties are enjoying the meal so much, shouldn’t we have some fun too?”

Upon hearing Ren Wenshan’s teasing remark, the models from Le Yaoyao’s company abruptly stopped their movements, gazing at him with loathing.

”What do you mean?” Le Yaoyao slapped the table, but felt dizzy, clutching her forehead unsteadily.
