Chapter 418: Chapter 415: Meeting the Organizers

”Of course not!” Le Yaoyao waved her hand grandly and said, ”As the future president of a publicly listed company, can I not afford to treat you all to a meal?”

”Just wait, after the event ends, I will definitely take you to a hotel twice as good as a five-star one for dinner!”

Listening to Le Yaoyao’s bold words, both Xiao Tian and Lin Bingxuan, wealthy individuals themselves, were curious. A place better than a five-star hotel? Does such a place exist in Shanghai?

But one thing they had to admit was that after finishing her makeup and donning luxurious attire, Le Yaoyao was truly a sight to behold.

Although Le Yaoyao’s natural beauty was also stunning, it was a clean, untouched kind of beauty, completely opposite to the slightly seductive allure after dressing up!

The two types of beauty are equally matched, and it only depends on personal preferences. But even those not inclined towards either choice couldn’t help but be captivated!

”President Le, we have five minutes left until our scheduled meeting with the organizers, what do you think...” reminded the assistant beside her.

”Auntie and Uncle, you two sit first, I’ll be right back!” After settling Xiao Tian and Lin Bingxuan, Le Yaoyao followed her assistant to meet with the organizers!

Lin Bingxuan dreamily remarked, ”Why did Yaoyao seem much more composed just now, was it just my illusion?”

Xiao Tian had a similar feeling. When Le Yaoyao heard she was going to meet the organizers, her demeanor and even her aura noticeably changed!

...

”This time the organizer is called Lu Kai, a wealthy young master from Lu Province. I’ve heard he has used this method for hidden rules with many models before, and his reputation in the modeling industry stinks!”

While walking, the assistant briefed Le Yaoyao on the organizer’s background and reminded her of Lu Kai’s notorious past.

As they spoke, the two arrived at the lounge, and after knocking, the assistant stepped aside.

The door opened, and a genteel young man appeared in Le Yaoyao’s view.

Wasn’t Lu Kai supposed to be a middle-aged man? Le Yaoyao looked at the assistant with confusion.

The female assistant was also puzzled, was her information wrong? Impossible!

Even if there was an error, it couldn’t be this off!

The genteel young man couldn’t take his eyes off Le Yaoyao, his breath became a bit rapid; she was undoubtedly the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, exceeding even those movie stars!

Recovering, the young man hastened to explain, ”I’m Mr. Lu Kai’s assistant. Miss Le, hello, hello!”

Stuttering, the young man extended his hand, which Le Yaoyao politely shook briefly, then asked, ”Where is Mr. Lu Kai?”

”Inside!” The young man replied, seeing Le Yaoyao step forward to enter, he couldn’t resist reminding, ”Miss Le, it’s better to... be cautious!”

The young man simultaneously urged the obliviously reassured assistant who then stated, ”You’d better not leave Miss Le’s side, ideally, don’t even drink any water!”

The female assistant gratefully glanced at Lu Kai’s assistant and felt her impression of Lu Kai worsen even more.

Anyone whose assistant is disappointed with them must have a character far worse than rumored.

Walking through the door, Le Yaoyao saw a man as big as a woman five or six months pregnant, wearing a gold chain around his neck and a limited edition watch on his wrist.

Looking at his attire, an ostentatious oversized t-shirt, large shorts, and slippers on his feet.

This bizarre get-up was more eye-opening than any nouveau riche.

At least a nouveau riche would wear leather shoes, but this man simply showed up in slippers!

Upon seeing Le Yaoyao, Lu Kai expertly discerned she was a dazzling lotus yet to be ’colored’!

Although Le Yaoyao wore makeup, the slight innocence between her brows was unmistakable; in the eyes of an expert like Lu Kai, she was an incomparable treasure worth more than a billion!

It seemed he had struck gold!

Lu Kai’s eyes were fixed on Le Yaoyao, thinking the so-called top models he had played with before paled in comparison, utterly worthless!

”Hello, are you Le Yaoyao?” Lu Kai’s face covered in fat broke into a chrysanthemum-like smile, introducing himself, ”I am Lu Kai from Lu Province.”

”Hello, President Lu!” Le Yaoyao felt uneasy as she shook Lu Kai’s hand, but he held on and didn’t let go until her assistant coughed, allowing her to reluctantly retrieve her hand.

Showing no sign of embarrassment, Lu Kai instructed the young assistant to leave and poured a cup of fragrant tea from the teapot on the table for Le Yaoyao.

”Please!”

Lu Kai raised his hand in a gesture inviting her to taste, thinking that once she drank the tea, even a chaste maiden would become a wanton woman.

Le Yaoyao was about to pick up the teacup when the assistant quickly said, ”President Lu, let’s save casual talk for another day. Regarding this collaboration, firstly...”

Seeing Le Yaoyao retract her hand away from the cup, Lu Kai became displeasured and said, ”Aren’t I discussing serious matters? I’m talking with Miss Le, when is it your place as a mere assistant to interrupt!”

The female assistant’s face went red with anger, yet dared not contradict this patron.

Before Le Yaoyao could speak, Lu Kai continued, ”Miss Le, I dislike having irrelevant people present during discussions, so...”

Le Yaoyao stood up, patted the assistant’s shoulder, indicating she could handle it. The female assistant, although unwilling, quietly advised caution and reminded her not to drink the tea before leaving.

”Miss Le, this tea is from my own garden.”

After the assistant left, Lu Kai again offered, ”If you don’t drink it soon, it’ll go to waste!”

Mindful of the assistant’s warning, Le Yaoyao politely declined, saying she wasn’t fond of tea!

Lu Kai cursed inwardly how cautious the young woman was, thinking she believed he had no other ways?

On the surface, he remained enthusiastic and said, ”It’s understandable! It’s understandable!”

”I heard Miss Le has been in this field for a long time!” Lu Kai said indifferently, ”I heard you recently started your own company; it’s impressive to be so accomplished at a young age!”

”After this collaboration, we could establish a long-term relationship!”

Saying this, Lu Kai grabbed a cigar from the box in front but quickly heard Le Yaoyao say, ”I’m sorry, I can’t stand the smell of smoke!”

Le Yaoyao, fighting solo, had her brain working extra effectively!

Lu Kai put the cigar down, stood slowly, and walked around to the back of the sofa where Le Yaoyao sat, saying, ”I wonder what Miss Le thinks about this cooperation?”

Le Yaoyao felt entirely uneasy yet braced herself to say, ”Regarding this cooperation, we...”

Before finishing, Lu Kai abruptly sat in the adjacent seat.

Le Yaoyao immediately sprang to her feet, noticing Lu Kai’s expression had changed from a smile to one of anger.

Le Yaoyao’s caution surpassed expectations, her repeated evasions now infuriating Lu Kai.

”Is Miss Le perhaps influenced by those slanders circulating about me, and thus skeptical?” Lu Kai said self-assuredly, ”Those rumors are nothing but malicious slander from petty people!”

Recognizing that Le Yaoyao was in the same circle and might have heard of the comments about him, Lu Kai explained slowly.
