Chapter 443: Chapter 440: Ghostly Encounters

”Young Master Lu, if there’s nothing else, I’ll just...”

Lu Kai was rubbing his back when he heard Ren Wenshan say these words wanting to bid farewell. The latter was already at the door, with one hand on the doorknob.

”Wait!”

Encountering this familiar scene for the third time, Ren Wenshan started to feel like he was going to break down, silently regretting why he hadn’t killed this bastard earlier?!

Ren Wenshan clenched his fist; if Lu Kai was going to give him trouble again, he would fight to the death against Lu Kai.

Luckily, this time Lu Kai didn’t seem to want to make him open his mouth again, which made Ren Wenshan let out a slight sigh of relief.

”Look at this!” Lu Kai pushed the computer in front of Ren Wenshan, commanding him.

Ren Wenshan showed a troubled expression, deflecting, ”Young Master Lu, this... maybe you should take a look yourself!”

Seeing Ren Wenshan resisting his command, Lu Kai cleared his throat twice, ready to speak up.

”I’ll look, I’ll look now!”

Ren Wenshan was genuinely scared by the sound, resolved to just look, seeing ghosts is better than eating that thing!

Looking at the screen showing one white face after another, some were eating snacks, some were reading magazines, some were playing with their phones...

Ren Wenshan immediately realized that he had woken up from his nap and his brain hadn’t reacted quickly enough, thinking he saw ghosts at first sight.

Now upon further reflection, he felt this image was incredibly familiar!

”Young Master Lu, this, this should be them applying face masks, right?” Ren Wenshan offered an answer.

Upon hearing Ren Wenshan’s remark, Lu Kai quickly pulled the computer back in front of him, feeling more and more that Ren Wenshan’s assumption was close to the truth!

Almost as if to confirm their thoughts, the girls began to peel off the face masks from their faces and got out of bed.

”Le! Yao! Yao!”

Lu Kai howled into the sky in grief and indignation, consecutive failures in his plans made his face burn as if being constantly slapped around!

”Damn it, I must sell this bitch to Africa!”

Hearing Lu Kai’s angry voice, Ren Wenshan cautiously advised, ”How about waiting for a bit, maybe one or two of them like sleeping naked?!”

Lu Kai nodded with heavy breathing, hoping for the possibility!

As long as one girl falls into the trap, he can use the video to threaten Le Yaoyao; if she doesn’t comply, he will reveal the footage to everyone.

At that time, Le Yaoyao’s company’s reputation will plummet from its upward trajectory.

He believes after weighing the options, Le Yaoyao, as the helmswoman of the company, should know what to do.

In fact, Lu Kai was overthinking it; if such a thing really happened, based on Le Yaoyao’s character, she would definitely not abandon any model signed to the company, nor be foolish enough to really give in to Lu Kai.

The most likely scenario for the young girl facing such an issue would be... seeking help from Xiao Tian?

——

Meanwhile, Le Yaoyao gathered the beauties who had just finished applying face masks, all satisfied, for a meeting.

The group started an impromptu meeting in the hallway, since Ren Wenshan had rented the entire hotel floor, they weren’t worried about outsiders barging in.

Le Yaoyao still had a serious face as she said, ”Everyone, don’t take off your clothes when sleeping, cover with the summer blanket instead, if it’s too hot, just turn up the air conditioning.”

”In any case, don’t sleep naked, got it!”

After hearing their boss’s ’unreasonable demand,’ the originally happy group started feeling confused.

Being cautious isn’t wrong, but being cautious to the point that seemed almost crazy made them feel a bit too much like being overly guarded!

Because the reason for the last event’s cancellation was somewhat known among the company’s models, upon hearing Le Yaoyao’s request now, they couldn’t help but wonder if it’s a leftover from the last incident?

Le Yaoyao carefully observed each person’s face, seeing their puzzled expressions despite her good intentions, and could only sigh helplessly in her heart.

”I know everyone might think I’m being overly paranoid!” Le Yaoyao said sincerely, ”Although you are officially my company’s contracted celebrities, we’ve been getting along just like sisters!”

Le Yaoyao slowly but firmly said, ”I don’t want any harm to come to my sisters, not one bit!”

After hearing Le Yaoyao’s earnest words, everyone felt a little moved, their eyes red.

These lower-level models used to just participate in some scattered events, earning not too much.

Now, Le Yaoyao not only offered them a generous signing bonus but also led them to a bigger stage, and her care was genuinely heartfelt.

”Yaoyao, thank you!” said a slightly older and more voluptuous beauty compared to Le Yaoyao, ”We all understand you, I’ll listen to you!”

The others also agreed simultaneously, accepting Le Yaoyao’s demands!

Le Yaoyao smiled reassuringly, unaware that her caution had once again helped the group avoid a crisis.

Everyone returned to their rooms, and the beautiful model who had initially spoken support for Le Yaoyao sat on the bed, instinctively grabbing the hem of her shirt.

Remembering Le Yaoyao’s words, the beauty paused, lowered her hands, covered herself with the blanket, and turned off the lights to sleep.

Ren Wenshan’s careless words actually hit the mark; there really were two models in Le Yaoyao’s company who liked sleeping naked, and the one who first spoke for her was one of them.

But now, having received Le Yaoyao’s caution, they all returned to their rooms without removing their clothes, covered up and turned off the lights to sleep soundly.

——

Watching this distinctive group of beauties from Shanghai, Lu Kai felt his lungs about to explode from fury.

He’d seen caution, but never caution like this; the beauty who instinctively wanted to undress was clearly seen by Lu Kai on the screen.

Originally seeing the beauty starting to undress, Lu Kai was ready to start the recording software, but then the beauty paused, which made him worried, thinking there might be no chance!

Sure enough, the beauty lowered her hands, covered herself, and turned off the lights smoothly.

Experienced Lu Kai and Ren Wenshan instantly discerned that someone must have given a reminder, otherwise the beauty wouldn’t have paused.

The only person who could give such a reminder and have everyone act accordingly, besides the president Le Yaoyao, there’s no one else!

Lu Kai furiously smashed the computer to the ground, glancing angrily at Ren Wenshan.

Ren Wenshan was startled by the gaze and hurriedly explained, ”Young Master Lu, I didn’t expect this either!”

”Who could have thought this group would be so cautious, leaving no openings? If we have to blame, we should blame that Le Yaoyao; all these abnormal behaviors must have been orchestrated by her!”

After hearing Ren Wenshan’s explanation, Lu Kai reluctantly moved his gaze away from him, muttering under his breath, ”Right, it must be that little bitch.”

”But, Young Master Lu doesn’t need to be too angry,” Ren Wenshan said with a sinister smile, ”I’ve invited them to attend the celebration party tomorrow, by then...”
