Chapter 439: Chapter 436: The Clever Le Yaoyao

On the silent journey, after giving brief instructions to the company models since getting in the car, Le Yaoyao closed her eyes to rest.

After a drive of over three hours, the car finally reached its destination and stopped beside a large plaza with a flowerbed.

Upon getting out of the car, these young, beautiful, and sizzling girls immediately became the focus of the plaza, attracting appreciative glances from passersby.

”Thank you all for your hard work during the journey!” A middle-aged man in a suit approached with a smile, shaking hands with each of the girls.

”This must be Miss Le Yaoyao?” The middle-aged man’s eyes lit up upon seeing Le Yaoyao, then he repeatedly apologized: ”I’m sorry, I’m so sorry! I should call you President Le!”

Le Yaoyao was indifferent, responding neither humbly nor arrogantly: ”President Ren, there’s no need for formalities. I didn’t expect you to personally come and pick us up, it’s truly an honor!”

With a beaming smile, Ren Wenshan said, ”It’s my duty, President Le. It’s been a tough journey for you. I’ve already booked the hotel for you. This way, please.”

Ren Wenshan led the way, while Le Yaoyao raised a hand, and her company followed behind her, embodying the presence of a chief executive officer.

The group arrived at the five-star hotel Ren Wenshan had arranged, each returning to their rooms to rest, hoping to get more sleep before evening events began.

After making arrangements for Le Yaoyao and her party, Ren Wenshan discussed a few details with her before excusing himself, leaving Le Yaoyao relieved that not everyone was so lecherous.

After seeing off Ren Wenshan, Le Yaoyao decided to make use of the remaining time to rest as well, lying on the spacious hotel bed while mentally reviewing the arrangements for the event.

In fact, events of this nature are typically arranged one or two months in advance, with the latest notifications sent out half a month beforehand.

The rush for this event in Lu Province came because, according to Ren Wenshan, the initially contracted company suddenly cancelled, forcing them to scramble together these arrangements.

Ren Wenshan even transferred the advance payment directly without a word, leaving Le Yaoyao slightly embarrassed to decline.

Le Yaoyao figured it’s all or nothing. Since she accepted the event, she was determined to execute it perfectly, leaving a good impression.

An hour in advance, the company members of Le Yaoyao were brought to the event’s backstage for preparations prior to the start.

Newly awakened beauties, with sleepy eyes, began doing makeup, trying on clothes, and performing simple rehearsals, busy but exuberant.

Meanwhile, the executive, Le Yaoyao, didn’t sleep at all, opting for a short rest on the bed.

Le Yaoyao clapped her hands to gather everyone around her, distributing items resembling folding tents, which when set up, served as simple dressing rooms where one could stand inside.

”You’ll need to be especially cautious later, particularly when changing clothes; do not use the backstage dressing room. Also be cautious about drinks, cigarettes, and even gum.”

Her expression so solemn, Le Yaoyao’s seriousness spread to the company’s models, making them become slightly anxious.

Seeing the nervousness spreading rapidly, Le Yaoyao explained, ”We’re traveling far from home. Being cautious won’t hurt. My instructions aren’t exhaustive; keep aware of anything unusual, and take my words to heart.”

After instructing the models to each prepare themselves, Keke jokingly came over, praising, ”Not bad, President Le, I thought you genuinely didn’t care!”

Unable to keep her facade up with her bosom friend, Le Yaoyao said, ”After all, we’re out of province now. While Ren Wenshan doesn’t seem like a villain, we still need to be cautious.”

”It’s said, ’have no intent to harm others, but be wary of those who might harm you.’”

After listening to Le Yaoyao’s lengthy discourse, Keke was stunned speechless.

Moments later, regaining her composure, Keke looked at her with relief, stroked her head, and said, ”Yaoyao, you’ve finally grown up!”

Listening to Keke’s motherly tone, Le Yaoyao, half amused, half annoyed, slapped her hand aside, scolding, ”Go to hell! Hurry up and get ready!”

Once Keke was sent off, Le Yaoyao also started her own preparations, including makeup and wardrobe trials.

——

In a luxuriously decorated room, Lu Kai was staring intently at surveillance footage on a computer screen.

The screen showed a cramped fitting room, as Lu Kai watched with anticipation and intense focus.

With a smirk on Lu Kai’s face, the middle-aged man beside him quietly asked, ”Young Master Lu, I wonder if everything is to your satisfaction?”

At this moment, if Le Yaoyao or the models from her company were present, they’d be shocked that the warm, welcoming, and hosting Ren Wenshan could display such a fawning smile.

”Hmm, not bad!” Lu Kai nodded with an air of superiority and said, ”Little Shan, you’ve done well with this; I’ll mention it to your president, and you could become a vice president!”

Overjoyed at hearing this, Ren Wenshan quickly lit a cigar from Lu Kai’s mouth, saying, ”Thank you, Young Master Lu! I’ll unfailingly follow you through fire and water in the future. You might as well consider me reborn because of you...”

Lu Kai gestured for Ren Wenshan to stop the flattery as he was completely fixated on seeing Le Yaoyao enter the room, envisioning her removing her clothes piece by piece.

He planned to record the footage, use it to coerce Le Yaoyao into compliance, and once he’d had his fill, release the video online.

Lu Kai reveled in fantasy, imagining Le Yaoyao kneeling to lick his toes, letting out a lewd, delighted chuckle.

Ren Wenshan felt a shiver run through him at Lu Kai’s laughter, causing the hairs on his body to stand on end.

”If there’s nothing else, may I...” Ren Wenshan couldn’t stand being there another moment and hastily opened his mouth to excuse himself.

Hearing Ren Wenshan’s voice, Lu Kai impatiently waved him off, as if shooing a fly, saying, ”Get lost, get lost!”

If it weren’t for Ren Wenshan’s voice, Lu Kai would’ve forgotten he was even in the room.

Despite being interrupted, Lu Kai quickly refocused on the screen in front of him, only to find it static like a frozen PowerPoint slide.

”Wait!” Lu Kai called out, halting Ren Wenshan, whose hand was already on the door handle, making him jump.

Ren Wenshan turned slowly, his voice trembling as he asked, ”Young, Young Master Lu, is there anything else you need?”

Seeing Ren Wenshan’s timidity, Lu Kai angrily took a heavy drag on his cigar and said, ”Do you think I would eat you alive? Look at you! Come here!”

Ren Wenshan shuffled forward awkwardly, like a shy little bride, and stood before Lu Kai.

”What kind of mess is this?” Lu Kai scolded angrily, turning the laptop towards Ren Wenshan.

Ren Wenshan looked at the surveillance footage, puzzled, ”It’s correct, this is the backstage dressing room’s surveillance, what’s the issue?”
