Chapter 386: Chapter 383: Provocation

The news that Nate Group was going to host an exhibition in Shanghai spread throughout Huaxia. It attracted countless domestic cultural relics scholars and a slew of media. For days, the exhibition news has almost dominated the headlines of major media nationwide.

Some mainstream media also criticized Nate Group, accusing them of arrogance, as the countless cultural relics they took from Yuanming Garden back then were actually brought back for an exhibition. More media considered this to be a form of disdain for Huaxia. For a time, there was a constant barrage of verbal attacks.

Some official media expressed concern and disappointment over Nate Group’s actions.

Under such an atmosphere, the day the exhibition would be held was drawing nearer.

This time, the security forces deployed by Nate Group could be described as ”terrifying.” Not only did the British side send elite agents, but Nate Group itself also dispatched a large number of security personnel, not to mention the full involvement of Shanghai police for protection.

After all, any cultural relic casually showcased in this exhibition is a priceless treasure. In fact, days ago, numerous Dark forces from neighboring countries had already gathered in Huaxia, including mercenary groups, warlords, or assassin organizations from Vietnam and Cambodia.

These notorious scoundrels are now gathered here, all for the chance to gain a share from Nate Group’s warehouse of cultural relics.

One could say that Shanghai appears calm on the surface, but has long been surging with hidden currents, with countless eyes secretly observing.

Two days before the exhibition, Nate Group finally transported all the cultural relics for the exhibition to Shanghai, temporarily stored in a rigorously guarded warehouse in the city center, to be transported to the exhibition venue on the day it begins.

As the boss of Nate Group, Jerry is not just hosting the exhibition in Shanghai to showcase the company’s financial strength, raise its profile, and find more partners, but also set a trap....

Currently, Jerry has already cast a wide net, just waiting for the fish to bite. For this reason, his family not only dispatched Heizi, who was ranked 19th on the Dark List, but also had further plans. They were certainly well-prepared.

At this moment, in the cultural relics warehouse in the center of Shanghai City, a protective wall has been erected around it. Shanghai police and the accompanying British agents are tightly guarding this place.

Among the personnel dispatched by Shanghai police, Wang Meng leads a group that is currently gathered at a remote point from the warehouse.

A group of British agents is in the courtyard enjoying beer and BBQ, laughing merrily.

However, Wang Meng and his team were arranged to patrol far off.

Under the blazing sun, everyone was sweating profusely. A policeman next to Wang Meng angrily said, ”Meng, they are really bullying us too much! They are there eating and drinking, having fun, while making us patrol like dogs. Damn, what do they take us for?”

Next to him, Wang Meng glanced at the group of British agents in the courtyard and said coldly, ”Didn’t see those Brits patrolling with us? It’s obvious they look down on us.”

At this point, although Wang Meng was dissatisfied, it was a command from above, so he couldn’t say much. Wang Meng waved his hand and said, ”Forget it, just bear with it.”

Just then, a few British agents suddenly came up, directly pointing at Wang Meng, saying arrogantly, ”Alright. You don’t need to patrol here anymore!”

Among them, standing foremost was Kings, the deputy leader of the British task force this time. A typical Brit, burly in stature, his gaze showed some contempt towards Wang Meng and the Huaxia police.

Wang Meng nodded upon hearing this, thinking it was great as he didn’t want to wait on them anymore!

Wang Meng was originally a hot-tempered person. Along the way, the group of British agents hadn’t shown the Shanghai police a good face, sometimes even ridiculing verbally. Ultimately, Wang Meng endured it. For Wang Meng, he didn’t want to stay here a minute longer.

Wang Meng nodded, ”Alright, Mr. Kings. We’ll go back now then.”

After saying that, Wang Meng and his team were about to leave. Unexpectedly, Kings’ tone intensified, ”Did I let you go yet?”

Wang Meng stopped in his tracks, his face full of confusion. Then Kings smiled complacently, pointing to the gate of the warehouse courtyard, ”What you have to do now is to stand guard there!”

”What??”

Seeing Kings’ rude request, Wang Meng’s face finally showed some restraint.

Since these cultural relics arrived, all the dirty and tiring work could be said to be done by the Shanghai police. Now they were even asked to stand guard?

At this point, Wang Meng’s tone also sank a little, ”Mr. Kings. I hope you’re aware that we are just in a cooperative relationship, not your security guards!”

Saying this, Wang Meng waved his hand, signaling the surrounding Shanghai police to leave, ”Let’s go!”

”Wait!”

Seeing Wang Meng and his team intending to leave, Kings’ face suddenly became somewhat embarrassed, Wang Meng in front of all his subordinates not giving him face, making Kings feel humiliated.

At this moment, Kings also asked coldly, ”I’ll ask again, are you going to stand guard or not?”

Wang Meng’s expression was resolute, ”No!”

Upon hearing Wang Meng’s refusal again, Kings snorted coldly, directly pointing at Wang Meng’s nose, ”This protection mission is led by us Brits, you should listen to us! You Huaxia have a saying, don’t eat the toast only to swallow the penalty drink!”

Hearing Kings’ words, Wang Meng’s expression grew colder, and he asked sharply, ”Kings, what do you mean by this?”

”Hehe.” Kings sneered boastfully, backed by the presence of other Britons, full of smug arrogance, ”Nothing in particular. Just that if you don’t follow orders, I wouldn’t mind teaching you a lesson instead of your superior!”

Saying this, Kings directly stripped off his shirt, revealing strong muscles, clearly trained over a long period.

Kings’ face was full of arrogance, ”How about it? It’s still time to stand guard now. Otherwise, you’ll be crying for Mommy soon, hahahaha!”

As Kings finished speaking, a group of British agents beside him burst into laughter.

”You!” Being taunted pointing at his nose, Wang Meng turned red with anger, holding back his temper without speaking, while around him, the Shanghai police were also furious. Kings was obviously here to provoke deliberately!

Seeing Wang Meng’s side have no reaction, Kings thought Wang Meng was scared, and the group grew even more boastful.

”Haha, Huaxia people really are cowards.”

”Damn it. It’s too much!”

Though Wang Meng internally advised himself not to stoop to these people’s level, Kings’ arrogance was too much. Finally, Wang Meng couldn’t hold back the anger inside and shouted, ”Get back!”

Saying this, the British agents and Shanghai police backed off. The scene now only left Wang Meng and Kings.
