Chapter 354: Chapter 352: Peril in the Jungle

”Damn it, what the hell,” Colin cursed.

Both cars stopped simultaneously. The dashboard went haywire, such a bizarre sight. Indeed, it reminded Colin of the many strange legends about this Primitive Jungle.

Mist surrounded them, and Colin’s mood was extremely depressed. After a moment, he hesitated, ”Since he fled into the Primitive Jungle, he’s probably already been eaten by the beasts. This jungle is very strange. I think we should head back first!”

”Okay, let’s go back, boss!”

The other subordinates were also startled by the Primitive Jungle. The group spoke in unison, decisively abandoning the cars to retreat, clearly showing no one wanted to stay in this creepy place any longer.

Because the cars broke down, they walked back along the original path.

They moved through the Primitive Jungle, surrounded by thick fog with not a trace of sunlight. It was unimaginably dark, leaving an oppressive feeling in their hearts.

”Swoosh swoosh”

Suddenly, from the bushes ahead, there was a rustling sound. Who knew what was hidden behind the massive shrubs.

”What was that sound?” Hearing it, Colin, at the front, cautiously took a few steps forward, noticing the growing disturbance in the bushes as if something was ready to emerge.

Years of battle experience sparked an ominous premonition in Colin’s heart. He instinctively stepped back two paces.

”Crack! Roar!”

At that moment, the sound of a branch being crushed echoed.

Suddenly, a bush before them was split open, revealing a massive Black Shadow, and then a gigantic black bear appeared in everyone’s sight.

The black bear was massive. It far exceeded the size of a normal black bear, its fur glossy black, its giant claws sharp and dangerous, and its teeth dagger-like. At this moment, the black bear was growling lowly.

What set this black bear apart the most were its scarlet eyes, emanating a red glow in the shadows, akin to those mutated monsters from sci-fi movies.

”What kind of monster is this?” Colin was instantly drenched in cold sweat when he saw it. He trembled slightly and stepped back two paces.

The scene fell silent. The giant black bear and Colin’s group engaged in a standoff, but Colin could clearly see a desire in the bear’s eyes.

Hunger! It was evident that this was a beast that hadn’t eaten in a long time!

This silence did not last long. Soon, the black bear let out another low growl, seemingly celebrating finding food. Then, it started stepping towards Colin and his men, each step causing a tremor felt by everyone around.

Colin didn’t hesitate at all. He knew this was no joke and quickly drew a handgun from his pocket, aiming at the bear’s head, coldly commanding, ”Shoot its head together, don’t let it get close!”

After speaking, Colin pulled the trigger.

Bang!

A gunshot rang out, echoing through the forest, as a flash darted into the bear’s face.

Colin widened his eyes, watching the bear’s reaction. To his surprise, in the next moment, the black bear reached up to touch its menacing face, roared angrily, and sped up its charge towards them. Clearly, the bullet didn’t harm it!

Seeing this, Colin’s subordinates dared not hesitate. They aimed their guns at the bear’s head, resolutely opening fire.

Bang bang bang bang bang!

Gunfire roared to the sky, startling birds in the forest.

”Howl!”

However, what left everyone dumbfounded was that the black bear seemed ironclad, unfazed by the rain of bullets. It was like the bullets merely tickled it! The bear charged irresistibly.

Each of the black bear’s steps crushed the surrounding trees to pieces, wood splinters flying everywhere!

The bear’s growls and gunfire also caught the attention of other beasts in the valley. Howls rose from all around, followed by the rush of five or six more mutated frenzied beasts converging from all directions.

Soon, Colin and his team were surrounded by the beasts.

”Mom!!” Seeing the scene, Jackal fell to the ground in terror.

The next moment, the black bear lunged forward with a mighty roar, its giant claws swiping at the crowd.

”Dodge!” Colin shouted, ducking for cover. But surrounded by these beasts, they could only dart around like lambs to the slaughter.

Whoosh!

The giant claws grazed over Colin’s head, a gust of wind sweeping by. Colin quickly crouched, gasping, his quick reflexes saving his life.

Jackal beside him wasn’t so lucky. Clearly, overwhelmed by fear, Jackal forgot even how to dodge, simply screaming, ”Who will save me?? Who will save me!”

”Ah!”

The next second, the black bear’s large claw lifted Jackal as if grabbing a chick. Jackal’s screams echoed in mid-air as the bear swiftly tore Jackal’s body in two, exposing the innards and bones, stuffing them into its mouth.

”Ugh!!”

Watching this, Colin’s stomach churned, causing him to vomit in terror, his pants soaked.

”Ah! Ah! Ah!”

Colin ran in panic, clutching his head. Screams echoed behind him. In no time, the dozen or so people were reduced to a few, the casualty severe.

Colin, exhausted, finally collapsed to the ground.

Colin turned his head, watching countless beasts converge on him, his face turning pale in despair.

Around him lay severed limbs and bones, like a hell on earth!

Sweat poured from Colin’s head, his body trembling violently in fear, having wet himself.

”Roar!”

The black bear approached steadily. Colin’s face twisted in fear, unable to fathom what expression to make, pushed to his fear’s limit.

As the bear’s claw was about to grab Colin, and Colin screamed, a figure appeared in the air, the blade in hand flashing silver. With a ”swish,”

The figure wielded the knife, slicing the black bear’s previously prideful sharp claw clean off!

That figure was none other than Xiao Tian!
