God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 268: Chapter 266: The Present State of Huaxia

Japan, a remote small fishing village in Hiroshima.

Bai Shi City is an idle bachelor in the village, nearing forty years old without a wife, known for being sloppy and stingy, having hardly ever left the locality in his life.

Now Bai Shi City mainly survives on some petty thefts, which makes people in the village almost universally dislike him.

In earlier years, when people in the village saw that Bai Shi City didn’t even have his own fishing boat and equipment, they pitied him, lent him boats to help him save money to buy one; but Bai Shi City ended up selling other people’s boats and was quite unreasonable about it, after which no one in the village ever bothered with him again.

On regular days, Bai Shi City’s routine starts with waking up at nine in the morning, turning on that dilapidated radio, and listening to a segment of Japanese folk songs. Then at noon, he buys a can of beer and grills a few fish, which he most likely stole from somewhere.

In the evening, it’s Bai Shi City’s ”money-making” time. He likes to go to places with a lot of people to find opportunities, such as village gatherings and dance halls. If he’s lucky, he might pickpocket a wallet; if not, he can only steal some scrap metal to sell.

Besides that, Bai Shi City also enjoys peeping!

This is a perverted hobby he can’t rid himself of. His favorite thing is hiding in the homes of young girls, secretly watching them bathe or even use the toilet.

Even if the girls do nothing, it still excites Bai Shi City. He thoroughly enjoys the thrill of spying on the girls’ private lives, watching their every move.

Because of this, Bai Shi City often ends up with bruises and a swollen face.

The targets he can peep on in the village are limited, and the pure and lovely Tsuruta Wu is considered one.

This afternoon, Bai Shi City was idling around, wandering aimlessly. Suddenly, he found himself at the door of the Tsuruta siblings’ house.

Tsuruta Wu is one of the most beautiful girls in the village, and just thinking about her fair neck and beautiful face makes Bai Shi City’s desire to peep rise.

He stood at the door, looked around to ensure no one was nearby, then quietly slipped around to the side to jump over the wall and enter.

”Hehehe.... I wonder if I can catch her taking a bath?”

Bai Shi City chuckled sinisterly, crouching low. He moved step by step towards the window. Reaching the window, he slowly popped up his head, glancing inside the room.

He saw only an unfamiliar man lying on the bed, with no one else in sight.

Bai Shi City squatted at the door for ten minutes, scanned around again but still found no trace of Tsuruta Wu.

Finally, Bai Shi City could only shake his head helplessly and disappointedly hop back out, slowly leaving.

After Bai Shi City left, Xiao Tian opened his eyes and looked at the window.

In fact, before Bai Shi City even got close, Xiao Tian already sensed him with a perception power inside him.

This perception power seemed to have been obtained after his recent injuries. Previously, he could only sense strong martial artists and at very limited distances.

He didn’t expect this time his ability could permeate such a long distance!

However, Xiao Tian could clearly feel that Bai Shi City posed no threat to him, and given his current weakened state, he could only move about said state, so he didn’t say anything.

----

Twenty minutes later, Bai Shi City returned home. He sat on a worn-out sofa, switched on a radio, opened a can of beer, and ate grilled fish.

”Our station has been following the reports of Huaxia intruder Xiao Tian. Please be on the lookout for suspicious individuals around you. Anyone who provides effective clues will be rewarded ten million US Dollars!”

Ten million US Dollars!

Ten million!

The words ”ten million” echoed in Bai Shi City’s mind.

”If that ten million were mine, I could have fun with all the models in Hiroshima...hehe.” Bai Shi City’s tone was filled with greed.

This nearly forty-year-old bachelor harbors dreams of sudden fortune every day.

Since childhood, people mocked him for having no ambition.

But if that’s the case, he does have one dream. That is to ’play’ with the legendary models. He had seen photos of them in tabloids before, and they made him drool.

”Ah, when will such luck fall on my head?”

-----

Huaxia.

The fifteenth day of Xiao Tian’s disappearance.

Once a villa filled with an atmosphere of joy when Xiao Tian was around, it has now become cold and desolate.

The living room is a complete mess. Clothes, trash, and books are piled everywhere. Various household appliances are shattered and ruined.

The whole house is in utter chaos, as if a major robbery just took place here.

However, one room on the eastern side of the villa was tidied up and spotless.

A few pieces of a man’s clothing hang in that room. Every day, they are taken out, washed again, dried, and then washed again.

In the empty hall, only a graceful figure curled up on the cold floor. She was wrapped in just a thin blanket.

This person is Lin Bingxuan.

Having not seen Lin Bingxuan for days, she has become so thin now, with red circles around her eyes.

For Lin Bingxuan now, the concept of time no longer exists. She only feels that every second that passes is like a year, or even ten years.....

These days, Lin Bingxuan doesn’t think about food or drink, she just stares at Xiao Tian’s room in a daze.

During the day, Le Yaoyao came here, seeing the once strong and capable Lin Bingxuan so fragile and thin, Le Yaoyao felt a pang of pain in her heart.

Le Yaoyao had been taking leave every day to come care for Lin Bingxuan, helping tidy up the house, buying her food, and comforting her.

But every time Le Yaoyao came back the next day, the house was once again a complete wreck.

In the evening, a black military-plated sedan arrived at Lin Bingxuan’s villa area and parked at the door.

After the car stopped, four bodyguards quickly got out and opened the door for a beautiful lady.

This person is Xiao Tian’s fourth aunt, Zhong Keyue.

These days, the entire Zhong Family has been plunged into immense grief, with Xiao Nianqing directly falling into a coma, physically frail, and has not improved these days. Such a large family seemed to collapse overnight.

While the retrieval of data brought national celebration, the military could not escape sorrow, as the dignified god of the Huaxia Army ended up dying in Japan. None could accept this.

Now, the high levels of the Huaxia military are on tenterhooks because Xiao Tian’s body has not been found, and his death could not be confirmed, offering everyone slight solace amidst despair.

For the Zhong Family’s sacrifices, Elder Zhu personally arrived to express the appreciation and commendation from Huaxia military high command.

However, for the Zhong Family, who lost Xiao Tian, such honor has already lost much of its meaning.

Zhong Keyue withdrew her thoughts and pressed Lin Bingxuan’s doorbell.
