Chapter 121: Chapter 119: Kawaguchi Toshio Visits the Sub-Bureau

Xiao Tian quickly put on his clothes, picked up his phone, and entered another bedroom.

As soon as he answered the call, Wang’s voice immediately came through: ”Xiao, the power of Leisaiqi is too mysterious, we really can’t find much information, and Water Drop’s recent actions are also very secretive, not much news either. That Fan Ming seems to have vanished into thin air, with no whereabouts known.”

Xiao Tian frowned, somewhat disappointed.

Getting no information at all—it’s easy to dodge a spear in the open, but hard to evade an arrow in the dark. In this situation, he felt like a blind man; it was too dangerous.

At this moment, Wang continued, ”However, there’s someone named Kawaguchi Toshio who might know about Water Drop.”

”Kawaguchi Toshio, who is that?” Xiao Tian asked, puzzled.

Wang immediately replied, ”Kawaguchi Toshio is a leader of the Japanese Mizuno Group. He recently arrived in Shanghai. After a bit of investigation, I found that he probably came because of Water Drop Organization’s recent activities.”

”Do we have any information on this Mizuno Group?” Xiao Tian continued to ask.

”Yes,” Wang nodded and said, ”Mizuno Group is an international organization active in Southeast Asia. Their overall strength isn’t as formidable as the Water Drop Organization, but in terms of influence in Southeast Asia alone, they’re on par with the Water Drop Organization.”

Xiao Tian felt a stir, thinking that finding Kawaguchi Toshio could very likely lead to more information about the Water Drop Organization.

”Wang, please send me the detailed profile of Kawaguchi Toshio.” Xiao Tian said.

”Okay, I’ll send it to you right away,” Wang responded and hung up the phone.

Xiao Tian tidied up a bit, had breakfast with Yu Ningxue, and immediately headed to the police station.

At the same time, on the other side.

In an office, Kawaguchi Toshio received a dossier from a subordinate.

If Xiao Tian were here, he would surely be surprised.

Because, the dossier Kawaguchi Toshio received contained all personal information about Xiao Tian!

Kawaguchi Toshio’s subordinate glanced at the dossier and suddenly said, ”Leader, this Xiao Tian has had multiple conflicts with Fan Ming. If we can control him, there is a high possibility of uncovering the Water Drop Organization’s ultimate goal.”

”Hmph!” Kawaguchi Toshio sneered, his eyes turning cold. Thinking of his previous experiences in the hospital, his anger flared up.

After closely examining the dossier in his hands, Kawaguchi Toshio’s expression suddenly became serious.

At first, he didn’t care about Xiao Tian, thinking Xiao Tian was too weak and couldn’t stand up to Fan Ming at all.

However, later on, he had to start paying attention.

Xiao Tian’s strength had improved at an alarming speed!

The second time he fought with Fan Ming, he gravely injured Fan Ming after getting provoked, and Fan Ming fled...

The third time, he completely overwhelmed Fan Ming!

Kawaguchi Toshio frowned and pondered for a while, then took out his phone, dialed a number, and commanded, ”Send some experts over. I need to deal with a man named Xiao Tian.”

”Xiao Tian, you’ve offended me, and you’ll regret it!” Hanging up the phone, Kawaguchi Toshio curled his lips into a sneer and muttered viciously to himself.

Immediately after, he dialed another number and said with a cheerful tone, ”Hello, Director Bai, long time no see.”

”Just get to the point if you have something to say,” Bai Tao dryly responded from the other end. He never had a good impression of Kawaguchi Toshio, not even greeting him during their last encounter at the hospital.

Recalling that Kawaguchi Toshio followed Lin Bingxuan to the hospital last time, Bai Tao was even more displeased, worrying that Kawaguchi would target Xiao Tian because of it.

”Haha,” Kawaguchi Toshio chuckled and said, ”It’s like this, due to work requirements, I want to visit your police station. I wonder if Director Bai can arrange that.”

Bai Tao thought for a moment and flatly said, ”You’re welcome anytime.”

Although he wasn’t pleased to welcome Kawaguchi Toshio, he suppressed his anger considering Kawaguchi’s status in Shanghai. After all, blowing the issue out of proportion could escalate it to a diplomatic matter.

”There’s no time like the present. If possible, let’s arrange it for this afternoon,” Kawaguchi Toshio said with a laugh.

”Alright, I’ll arrange it for 1 PM. Just head over to the West City Branch, and someone will receive you,” Bai Tao replied, thinking that with Xiao Tian at the West City Branch, perhaps Xiao Tian could be forewarned if Kawaguchi really was after him.

Identity? Status? If you provoke the almighty Xiao Tian, he couldn’t care less about who you are!

For the sake of avoiding unnecessary trouble, Bai Tao did not directly inform Xiao Tian of this matter.

He believed that with Xiao Tian’s intelligence, he could handle any situation that might arise.

Kawaguchi Toshio hung up the phone, feeling angry that Bai Tao deliberately arranged for him to visit the West City Branch, thinking it was targeted against him. However, considering that Xiao Tian was at the West City Branch, he wasn’t too upset; Bai Tao’s arrangement actually suited his objectives.

This visit to the police station was intended to probe Xiao Tian’s depth!

Afternoon.

As soon as it was 1 PM, Kawaguchi Toshio led a group to the West City Branch.

The West City Branch had indeed prepared, with a banner hung outside and a police team lined up to welcome him.

However, Kawaguchi Toshio wasn’t particularly welcomed.

The people welcoming him were not the leaders of the West City Branch but rather some rank-and-file officers.

Seeing Kawaguchi Toshio arriving, the leader of the police squad quickly approached with a smile and said, ”Welcome to our West City Branch for a visit. My name is Sun Wei, and I’ll be responsible for leading your tour. Feel free to let me know if you need any help.”

Sun Wei was just an ordinary squad leader, but he was diligent in his work and consistently displayed respect, all the while giving importance to Kawaguchi Toshio.

This was also a specific arrangement by Bai Tao. Despite not being pleased, they couldn’t leave room for criticism, allowing people to say the Shanghai police bullied foreigners.

Kawaguchi Toshio, with his head held high, didn’t even glance at Sun Wei as he arrogantly entered the branch’s doors.

Sun Wei frowned slightly; Kawaguchi Toshio’s attitude left him uncomfortable. However, to avoid trouble, he held back his feelings and followed with his team.

Kawaguchi Toshio’s target was Xiao Tian. After some superficial inspection, he casually said, ”Sun Wei, I heard that there’s someone named Xiao Tian in your department who’s quite formidable, is that right?”

”Yes, yes, yes!” Sun Wei nodded repeatedly, becoming spirited when mentioning Xiao Tian. With lively eyes, he said, ”Our Xiao is arguably the best cop in all of Shanghai, having made significant contributions in many critical operations.

I heard that in a kidnap case, he only took two seconds to take down four criminals.”

”Doesn’t sound too impressive; isn’t that just a basic skill for a SWAT officer?” Kawaguchi Toshio asked indifferently.

”You’re underestimating our Xiao,” Sun Wei shook his head, his eyes full of admiration and continued, ”Our Xiao only fired three shots and took down four criminals. That’s not something just anyone can do.”

”Oh? One shot for two? That’s indeed some skill.”

Kawaguchi Toshio nodded slightly, a faint cold gleam flickering in his eyes.
