Venerated Venomous Consort

“The princess is so sporting!” Those men raised their thumbs at her in acknowledgment.

The people who often carried a knife and were exposed continuously to blood generally had strong and imposing characters. They also admired down-to-earth and straightforward people. Initially, they thought that the princess was a snobbish person. Furthermore, to them, besides her status as ‘princess,’ there did not seem to be anything special about her. Hence, they never looked up to her before until now.

Feeling more at ease with her, the group grew livelier throughout the game. Meanwhile, Yan Chen squinted his eyes and followed the princess’s every move. Even with Lan Waihu tugging at his sleeve the entire time, it failed to grab his attention back to her.

“Fifteen! Twenty! …” Seven to eight pairs of palms continued to change their gestures from time to time to play the game. It was the most basic game that one could play with their hands.

Being the only female playing the game, the princess’s delicate palms clearly stood out among the muscular hands of the men.

Even though Yan Chen was distracted by the princess, after some time, he seemed to find the game somewhat familiar to him. Moments later, his heart suddenly shook as he remembered why he felt that way!

In the past, when Gu Xijiu first entered Tianju Hall and became good friends with Little Fox and Qian Lingyu, she used to teach Little Fox this game. Little Fox tried to explain the game to him once, but they ended up playing other drinking games instead. It had been more than 200 years ago since that day. If not for Yan Chen’s good memory, he probably would never have been able to recall it.

But who taught them this game? Did all the people from the Blue Fox Planet would know how to play it? Or was it explained to them by the princess!? Yan Chen analyzed the win-rate of the princess and noticed that she had lost twice in the space of just a few rounds. Following the rules, she dried up two glasses of wine without any hesitation. Her pale but pretty face was turning rosy, but her eyes started to light up with some bright colors.

Finally, Yan Chen turned to look at Lan Waihu, who was beside him. Little Fox was not good at drinking. In fact, every time she drank, she would only take a few sips and then pass the glass over to Yan Chen to finish it. Hence, it was getting clearer to Yan Chen that the woman he saw earlier was not Little Fox.

After reaching this conclusion, Yan Chen was somewhat relieved but also a little disappointed. It did make much sense for him to watch a group of people drinking. Therefore, Yan Chen knew that he should leave the restaurant and continue to explore the base. Nonetheless, somehow, his feet were stuck to the ground. He did not want to go.

When he saw the princess drinking, he had the subconscious urge to take away her cup! It seemed like she just recovered from a severe illness. Could she drink liquor like this?! Yan Chen’s gaze then turned to the guardian, who was next to the princess. The man always smiled faintly and swirled the glass of wine in his hand while watching the games unfold.

It was only when the princess had drunk seven or eight glasses of wine did the guardian attempt tp stop her. “Princess, you should stop drinking now. You are not in good condition…”

The princess pushed his hand away. “I have recovered. You don’t have to be concerned about me.” She downed another glass of wine then and there.

“Princess, you are so cool!”

“Princess, I didn’t expect you to be so sporting. I apologized for what I had said just now. Let me toast with you!” A bearded officer stood up and toasted.

The princess did not speak, but raised a glass with the officer and finished another glass of wine.

“Princess, I had also offended you earlier. Let me toast with you too!”

“Me too!”

“Me too…”

These bastards! Were they trying to get her drunk?!

Yan Chen had clenched his fists so tightly that his fingertips had turned cold.
