Reborn As Noble

Chapter 1048: The Transport of Choice ( 1048 )

Javier shot a glare toward Liana, who pretended nothing had happened, adjusting her long maid skirt with a soft, innocent chuckle.

While Buddy kept close to him, pressing his large feathered side against Javier’s body, his head lowered protectively near Javier’s shoulder.

”Cuquawked!!”

Ugh. Now this huge Pekko is acting like a jealous, overprotective guard bird. A giant, feathery, sulking guard bird who doesn’t believe a word I say.

And it’s all because Liana decided to stir him up. Definitely still salty about Iria and Iziya earlier.

Sigh... I’m stuck between a jealous elf maid and a monster bird with trust issues. And I still need to reach the Naval Base, summon a mithril warship, and escort a noble lady home.

Great. Just great.

Now I have to figure out how to bring all these giant Pekko so I can launch the new ship.

Javier rubbed his chin.

There’s a transport drone big enough for three Pekko inside my storage. So I’ll need two, with the second on autopilot following the first.

That’s the only way. If I ride Buddy to the base, it’ll take half an hour or more.

He checked his mana watch.

Mother already gave me the sealed documents for Tybalt. They’re in my dimensional storage. I don’t plan to stay there long. Once Tybalt agrees on the term and sign, I’ll just deploy the knights to push Garka and Turka Army back, and be done with it.

Javier raised his palm toward the open courtyard, and his hand glowed.

One massive transport drone materialized, its sleek, angular hull gleaming in the daylight.

Ah... I forgot about this one I built before. The one I designed for air-to-air and air-to-ground attack.

Damn... this one is super huge and fast.

It’s equipped with a Crystal Lattice Array that emits high-frequency mana ping, vibrational pulses that resonate when they detect anything with a soul or magical signature, making stealth or magical concealment nearly impossible against it.

Also has True Sight enchantments layered over thermal imaging, mana-spectrum vision, and motion-tracking lenses. It can see through fog, darkness, illusions, and even moderate magical barriers.

Armed with twin-linked mana gatling guns, a ventral mana cannon turret, and vertical launch cells for both air-to-air and air-to-ground mana missiles.

How could I forget about this one?

”Young master?” Liana moved closer to him.

Gloria adjusted her glasses, looking up at the huge transport drone. ”Is this your new invention?”

”Nya! It looks so cool!” Mimi’s eyes gleamed with delight.

”Indeed... it has a presence that feels both sleek and imposing,” Felicia observed, her tail swaying thoughtfully.

Delya sighed dreamily. ”Ah~ Danna-sama... are we really going to ride in that~”

Liana glanced from the drone back to Javier.

”Is this the mithril warship you mentioned?”

Javier studied his own creation. ”No... this isn’t the new one.”

”Eh?” Gloria glanced between him and the drone.

”This one came before the new puppet knights and the mothership.” Javier said it almost in awe of his own earlier work.

”Mothership?” Liana asked, tilting her head.

”Remember during the second war? The Celestial War?”

”Yes...”

”Ever hear about the huge ship that floated over Armand, firing on King Edmund’s possessed army, elite troops, mages, wyverns?”

”Ah... Erisa mentioned it once. People talked about a massive, strange craft attacking with swarms of drones and mana missiles,” Liana recalled.

”Yes... and this thing came even before that. More like... I wanted to build a plane... but since we don’t have a runway, I decided to build a huge drone instead.”

”Pl...ane? Run...way?” The girls exchanged confused glances.

”Ah... nothing, nothing.”

Man... I built too many things and forgot most of them?

Javier made his palm upward, and a mana sniper appeared. Black, sleek, with faintly glowing runes etched along its barrel and stock. It looked heavy, precise, almost predatory in its design.

”I only used this once before.” Javier said.

Then the mana sniper vanished back into his dimensional storage, and another weapon appeared, a mana handgun, compact and elegant, its lines smooth and its surface shimmering with a soft, pearlescent sheen.

”You two know about this weapon, right, Liana? Gloria?”

”Yes, young master. The white ore mana gun. Made with the rarest material, white ore.”

”And I only used it during the celestial corruption cleanse.” Javier sighed.

”I wonder how many inventions I made that I forgot... like the new mana missile mana truck.”

Liana chuckled softly while Javier just squatted in defeat.

”Man... I keep crafting and forgetting what I store inside.”

”So are we going to ride that, young master?” Liana asked with a smile.

Javier exhaled and smiled back. ”Yes. We’re going to use this since it’s the only big transport drone that can carry all five of these huge Pekko.” Javier glanced up toward Buddy and snapped his fingers. Several of his puppet knights materialized nearby.

”Check and maintenance.”

[ Affirmative, Command Received ]

The puppet knights moved to inspect the huge drone.

”Nya!? We’re not taking the warship you mentioned, husband-sama?” Mimi puffed her cheeks, her tail twitching in annoyance.

”Danna-sama~ I wanted to ride the warship you talked about.” Delya moved closer and hugged his arm, pressing her cheek to his sleeve.

Felicia simply smiled and nodded. ”I don’t mind, as long as I’m with you.”

Javier patted both Mimi and Delya’s heads gently. ”Don’t worry. We’ll go to Tybalt on this, then come back on our ’cruise.’”

”Cruise?” Mimi and Delya tilted their heads.

”Ah... I mean we’ll sail with the warship after.”

”Yeay!!” Mimi jumped excitedly while Delya nestled against his arm.

Liana exhaled softly, and Gloria adjusted her glasses, a faint smile touching her lips.

”So, young master. What’s your plan?” Liana smiled and asked.

”We ride this one, head to the Armand Naval Base, pick up Kayra and her escort, then fly to Tybalt. Get the formal request signed, deploy the knights to push back Garka and Turka’s forces, and secure the agreement for trade and reconstruction.”

”After that, we’ll walk with our Pekko and survey the region, especially the coastal area where they’ll agree to build the port.”

”And if the lord of that region, Kayra’s husband, doesn’t agree?”

”Hmm? Then we just fly back, head out to sea, I summon the mithril warship, and we’re done. We land on it with this drone and cruise. Enjoy our time. And tomorrow I’ll be busy handling Father’s work for two days.”

”What about Tybalt?”

”Hmm? If they don’t agree to the terms, which, honestly, are the fairest and most generous they’ll ever get. Then that’s their choice. We offered aid, trade, protection, and a path to rebuild. If they refuse because of pride, fear, or loyalty to Kimar, then they’ve chosen their fate. We won’t force help on those who don’t want it.”

He glanced toward the drone, then back at Liana.

”The agreement includes a protected trade route, a shared port, economic advisors, irrigation and farming improvements, and defensive support against Garka and Turka and all their enemy.”

Javier face turn serious.

”In return, they repay the port construction over time, grant Armand merchants fair access, and formally request our aid so we can intervene legally. It’s a lifeline, not a leash. If they can’t see that... then they’ll fall, and we’ll watch from a distance. We help those who ask, and walk away from those who won’t.”
