His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2404: Chapter 686: Reply (4)_3

This casserole, although not very large, it’s definitely not the amount one person can finish!

She didn’t feel the pressure of being indebted; she felt a bit intimidated.

However, thinking about his effort, it didn’t seem right not to have more, so she regained her appetite.

After lunch, Qin Mu helped him collect the bowls, but Mu Yichen glanced up at her, signaling it wasn’t necessary.

”I’m too full! Let me do something!”

”Just put the bowls there, don’t wash them!”

Mu Yichen seemed to agree but didn’t let her touch the cold water.

”Okay!”

Qin Mu, like a good student, agreed and placed all the bowls in the sink.

Mu Yichen stood nearby watching, until she was done. They exchanged glances, one inside, one outside, and Qin Mu almost burst into laughter, wondering why they looked like immature children.

Of course, Mu always thought she was more childish.

Qin Mu bit her lip, frowning to stop herself from laughing, and as she passed by him, she whispered, ”Mu, I’ve put everything in!”

As she was about to leave, Mu Yichen suddenly reached out an arm, wrapped it around her waist: ”Why don’t you put yourself in there too?”

So he could wash her together with the dishes!

Qin Mu...

Mu Yichen looked at her for a few seconds, but seeing she remained silent, he didn’t force her. Though he admired her slender waist, since she wanted to distance herself, he accompanied her, and like severing an arm, he let her go.

Qin Mu bolted away, while he just sighed helplessly and went into the kitchen to clean.

Qin Mu went to the living room but didn’t dare sit down. Under Mu’s intimidating presence, after stuffing herself close to bursting, she wandered around the living room, bored, and decided to call Helian Hao to hang out, only to find her phone missing.

”What are you looking for?”

Mu Yichen saw her searching the sofa and asked.

Qin Mu, with a hand on her back, straightened and looked at him: ”I’m looking for my phone!”

”Under the coffee table!”

Mu Yichen said flatly. Apparently, the maid placed it there during cleaning and forgot to bring it back up.

Qin Mu turned her head, and indeed, it was there. Before making the call, out of courtesy, since he cooked and helped her find the phone today, she said to him, ”I plan to go to the hospital to visit Xiaohao, you don’t have anything planned this afternoon, right?”

Qin Mu’s eyes glimmered as if reminding him not to have any plans.

”I do!”

Mu Yichen replied bluntly and walked forward to put her phone in his bag.

Qin Mu was dumbfounded, staring at her empty palm, then after a while, looked at him: ”You, you...”

”What about me?”

”You, you’re always taking my phone randomly!”

”And then?”

”And then? And then, you always read my WeChat messages without asking, which is just whatever, but you also delete my messages!”

Qin Mu knew he would continue asking, acting all cool yet seemingly good-natured, making her feel like she was unreasonable, but really, he was unreasonable for messing with her things.

Qin Mu was convinced he was in the wrong here, so she was especially stubborn.

”And then? How do you plan to get back at me?”

Mu Yichen moved closer, pushing Qin Mu back until she couldn’t retreat, standing with her back against the sofa.

In Qin Mu’s eyes there was fear, tension, and stubbornness, just looking up at him as he kept staring at her.

”Who’s getting back at you? I’m just reminding you, don’t do that in the future!”

Her words became less confident, and eventually, she lowered her gaze, slowly looking elsewhere.

Mu Yichen held his breath, suddenly at a loss for words with her. He didn’t want to say anything; he just wanted to do something.

Qin Mu also didn’t know what was wrong with herself; clearly, he should be the guilty one, but every time she met his gaze, she felt guilty.

Speaking with a lack of confidence.

Mu Yichen’s gaze held both despair and helplessness.

After watching her for a while, he lowered his head: ”Aren’t you feeling unwell? Don’t wander around these days. If you’re bored, read a book, or design some new clothes for the siblings?”

Actually, he wanted her to design for him, but now he didn’t want to say such things.

Since she chose not to bother with him anymore, he suddenly had a mind to embrace self-destruction, letting her watch as he self-destructed.
