A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1382: Chapter 1383: Plea for Peace

In the past, when the Black Tower Stigma Sorcerer set out, lounging around, the Slave Legion surrounded left and right, sneering coldly, overlooking all beings with the arrogant, fierce, and brutal demeanor of the Ancient Wizard, anyone who slightly opposed the Wizard’s Will would be destroyed in the most dark and merciless manner, with evil majesty and iron-blooded rule. Wherever they passed, the barbaric natives cowered and feared, and they were subdued with cooperation.

Today, seated on the throne atop the Summit of Sky Mountain, Green, though surrounded by remnants of the Ancient Wizard, was distinctly different, his wise and profound Three-Colored Light Eyes blinked frequently, and respect filled the air between his fingers.

”Kekeke, Guardian, have you decided whether to side with the Wizard’s Will or Skynet?”

Casual words, a long, delicate, pale left hand tapped ”ding,” ”ding,” ”dang,” ”dang” on the icy throne of the Summit of Sky Mountain, seemingly without strength, yet the taps sounded crisp like metal clashes upon the severe frozen ice peak, one after another, as if tapping on the old lizard’s heart that supported itself with a cane.

Streams of World’s Power gathered as the snowflakes danced in the sky, and this old lizard, only twenty centimeters tall, gazed at the emotionless figure, feeling breathless.

This was a Wizard, from the deepest part of Wizard World, the most terrifying Wizard, strong enough to utterly destroy the Sky Mountain Marine World!

Now, the fate of Sky Mountain Marine World was within its whim!

Even if the World’s Power gathered, before the Wizard’s Will, the Guardian felt incredibly insignificant, the World’s Power clearly perceiving the fearsome presence of this Wizard, like an immense mountain that couldn’t be compared with the summoned World’s Power, not even reaching its toe height, unable to gain its attention even while lying at its feet.

”Yes, respected Oblivion Sorcerer, I have decided.”

The old lizard, trying to show its humility, blinked its wrinkled eyelids, extended its forked tongue then quickly retracted it, the air filled with the scorching stench of melting rocks and evaporating seawater, glaciers melting extensively, as if it smelled the agony cries of numerous lives at their last moments.

The tattered robe shook with a rustling sound, and the skeleton monster, steaming with black smoke, respectfully brought it here, but the old lizard had no doubt that if its answer displeased the great Wizard, the monster would rip it apart in the most brutal manner in the next moment!

”Sky Mountain Marine World, as a medium-sized world that actively pledged allegiance to Wizard World, the World Masters are highly favored within the Alliance. As the Guardian of this world, naturally, I chose the Wizard World side, following the Wizard’s Will. However...”

Under the old, delicate, wrinkled eyelids, it gazed at Green.

This Wizard seemed to have anticipated earlier, showing no reaction. Instead, the colorful bird on its shoulder pecked at its feathers and then cackled eerily.

”Rock Lizard, don’t play dumb, you old fellow should know that allying with Wizard World is the best outcome. At least Wizard World rules are transparent. Under Skynet for so many years, this so-called Metal Destroyer civilization only collects resources without harming the local ecosystems, you should be able to perceive the silent decline of this world, a vast medium-sized world with only two World Masters and one Guardian, cackle, cackle, so pathetic.”

Xiao Ba snorted, standing on Green’s shoulder, overlooking the old lizard.

”Now, Master Eight is in a good mood today, giving you face, you can take the opportunity to make requests since you actively pledged allegiance, you should know sitting before you is the great Oblivion Sorcerer, cackle, cackle, cackle. I believe it won’t take long for the Wizarding Alliance to tremble at the return of this great Sorcerer!”

Bang!

Woos, woos, woos...

Suddenly, the old lizard tossed the cane aside, bent its back and knees, with a ”bang” it prostrated on the ground, every muscle under its scales trembling, and it sobbed softly.

Except for the indistinct silhouette on the throne focusing on the aerial battle group, the three-tailed fox Little Lian, Eight Rainbows Nevis, Dark Cloak Monster, and dozens of Death Crows swirling with black smoke all looked over.

From the cracks of its wrinkled dry eyelids, teardrops flowed, the old lizard pleaded, ”Great Oblivion Sorcerer, please lift your noble hands, use your sanctified virtues, have mercy on the innocent beings of this world, give them a chance to survive. They are merely naive and ignorant children; they only need pure snow and clear rainwater to live, they don’t need those Energy Barytes or metal ores, they just want to reproduce and live peacefully.”

Speaking, the old lizard sobbed uncontrollably.

”This world has been mined by those Metal Robot bases for seven thousand eight hundred years, experienced several wars over the past thousand years, it’s no longer as strong and vibrant as before, filled with vitality, it reached its limit. I can hear its pleas, its panting, its fatigue; it needs rest, to recover its life. Great Oblivion Sorcerer, on behalf of all life in this world, I beg you to end this war, let this world return to peace!”

After speaking, the old lizard’s head lay firmly below the throne, closing tear-filled eyes, kissing Green’s toes, offering its most humble plea.

”Master?”

Xiao Ba asked tentatively.

Such scenes Xiao Ba had seen many times, during the Ancient Wizards’ conquest of Different Worlds, all resistors were slaughtered completely, generations became slaves, the pleas, screams, and wails were the most melodious tunes for the brutal Ancient Wizards. The word sympathy, eyes would never appear in the cold realistic consciousness of the Ancient Wizards.

”Rise.”

Suddenly, a gentle force lifted the Guardian, the old lizard, it believed it understood the temperament of Wizards well, but was shocked by Green’s action.

Never had a Wizard treated it like this, never!

This Oblivion Sorcerer...

”I have ordered all Wizard Legions not to engage in large-scale battles with the native creatures and to gather the legions here, after all, a thriving world holds far greater value and meaning to Wizards than a wasteland post-catastrophe.”

The old lizard opened its mouth widely, unbelievably gazing at Green, simply unable to believe these words came from a cruel, indifferent, wicked Wizard.

Even Xiao Ba and the Cloak Monster couldn’t help but steal glances at Green.

”Yet you must understand one thing, the original sin of war is not mine, nor is it Wizard World or the Metal Destroyers, but your weakness, the cold rules and fate of the Endless World. You beg me for peace? Kekeke, well, I now grant you the brief peace I can afford!”
