A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1356: Chapter 1357: Insect Mengmeng

With a thud, the Book of Truth closed.

Huff, huff, huff...

Restoring the human wizard physique from the ancestral true body, the almost lifeless shadow breathed heavily. Green swallowed the last trace of the Omnipotent Soul from the sky repair into his mouth, feeling somewhat reluctant, yet deeply excited within his three-colored light eyes, a very contradictory feeling.

”I wonder what changes the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor seeks for the Dark Portal. The Grand World Sphere, once coated similarly, will gain what abilities? It’s just a pity that after all this hard work in obtaining the Omnipotent Soul, only this last trace remains.”

In the Grand World, the pit where Green’s ancestral true body once stood was melted into a deeper and wider hole by the candlelight of the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor. If Green hadn’t sealed it timely with the Space-Time Sealing Technique, the foundation of the Grand World would have been at risk over time.

”Hey, hey, hey, why are you so unfriendly?”

Just as Green was lost in thought, an abrupt voice made him shiver and disappear instantly.

Looking back, there was a crack about a meter wide from which a Time Worm had shrunk to that size, sniffing with its little nose the forgotten illusionary aura emitted from behind the crack, precisely from the World of Oblivion. Green could even hear the sound of ”tick-tock” like sweat drops inside.

It actually ignored Green’s Forgotten Truth Spatiotemporal Sealing Technique!

What kind of life form is this!

”You... what are you, a creature walking within time? I sensed ancient wildness from you, saw traces of civilization, and... a disregard for time.”

Calming down, Green carefully observed the Time Worm emerging from the time rules, trying to understand and recognize it with his relatively low vision intellect, a life form unheard of and unseen.

However, in a wizard’s understanding of the world, shouldn’t those who disregard time be higher-dimensional creatures!?

Clearly, his worldview was broken at this moment.

This worm, no matter how, Green would not believe it to be a higher-dimensional creature.

”You space creatures have always pursued occupying and acquiring broader spatial resources, never-ending, which we time creatures find hilarious. History is constantly repeating, though you know it, unable to change.”

The worm had fully emerged from the World of Oblivion, entering the Grand World Sphere.

”As for me, you can call me Profusion, or Insect Mengmeng! As you can see, I am a cute Time Worm, and my job is to traverse these time island forbidden places, declaring they are still territories of the Endless World, occupying them, letting these time islands merge into history with my diligent sweat, not forgotten by the Endless World. Congratulations on meeting the adorable Insect Mengmeng, now here has successfully merged into history, let me see the space-time channel outside, it truly is a rare, huge time island.”

Saying so, Insect Mengmeng wriggled its tail, not paying further attention to Green, easily flying out of the bondage of the Grand World Sphere!

”Insect Mengmeng, what a bizarre name! Profusion? Could it be akin to the Path of Oblivion, a fringe end branch of the profusion rules of the Endless World?”

Green’s eyes flickered, confirming no one else around Black Portal outside the Grand World Sphere. The time willpower had retreated as well, Green controlled the Grand World Sphere, flying out likewise.

”I really don’t need to consume Soul Force anymore!”

Green murmured in surprise, confirming the new transformation of the Grand World Sphere felt in his perception, a pursuit of the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor, yet evidently, Green had yet to fully harness it.

”It’s just the expense of Magic Power is astonishing, clearly not something a World Master or Stigma Sorcerer can maneuver as a sorcery instrument.”

...

Inside the Dark Portal.

”La la la la la, Insect Mengmeng is working, these places here and here are work sites of Insect Mengmeng, I want to turn these into historical nodes of the Endless World, Insect Mengmeng’s territory, la la la la la...”

Like a puppy seeing snow for the first time, Insect Mengmeng was extremely excited, wriggling back and forth like a little bee.

This orange-red worm constantly flicked its little tail, gobbling down large amounts of dark red rust within the Dark Portal in a manner Green couldn’t comprehend, the rust being manifestations of time congealed.

”Insect Mengmeng, what are you doing?”

Green couldn’t grasp it; these time rusts for space creatures like him were untouchable, only visible as their manifestation, emerging only after the ebbing of time.

”I am occupying historical nodes, just like you discovered a brand-new world. Though this became a time island, as long as Insect Mengmeng is here, it will soon become a historical node, serving as a foothold for future time creatures. Otherwise, wouldn’t here be so monotonous?”

This fresh insight, closer to the essence of truth, opened Green’s knowledge to the Truth Mystery of the Endless World.

Calming his mind, the Grand World Sphere floated around Green, no longer concerned with the joyous Insect Mengmeng in the Dark Portal, Green arrived at the edge of the Piercing Gate channel, a barrier of consolidated will, penetrating reality and illusion, altering space-time rules, making this Dark Portal channel appear like an illusory world, with a crossover rule between reality and deep illusion.

The lowest point of the Dark Portal was already very close to the Dimensional Esophagus.

Control one side of an illusory world!

In the hands of the Seven Rings True Spirit Sorcerer, Titan’s Ring of Loss, isn’t it similar?

”Hm!?”

Green found something unusual.

The reason the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor induced time willpower to freeze and solidify here, perhaps was the hope that the coverage of these time rust marks would transform the Dark Portal from a natural phenomenological rule into eternal, becoming manipulable as an entity.

Evidently, the way of the Dark Portal succeeded.

However, Green discovered three areas of incompleteness within this Dark Portal, one at the original location of the Grand World Sphere created by Green, one at the historical time node where Insect Mengmeng emerged, the other right at the upper exit of the Dark Portal.

These time creatures walking on historical nodes of the Endless World, unable to destroy history, so represent their inability to leave these historical nodes, compensating for spatial inadequacies with temporal length. Distinct in the Endless World, they are in parallel, insulated states, hard to mutually recognize compared to most space creatures.

”Master, Master! Green Beast! Smelly Green!”

Suddenly, a agitated call from Xiao Ba rang through the soul, making Green quickly alert, what happened?

At this moment, the exchange with Xiao Ba was merely a broad emotional transmission, unable to detail.

Could there be danger over there?

”Insect Mengmeng, I’m leaving!”

Reluctant, Green initially intended to learn as much as possible about these time creatures, unable to realize it, hurriedly arriving at a node broken by the Grand World Sphere’s eternal extraction at the Dark Portal.

Beneath his twisting space extended, amidst the overwhelming pressure from all sides, Green arrived in a daze at Xiao Ba’s presence in the void.

”What happened?”

Immediately, Green assumed a vigilant stance, yet found no threats, his gaze swept over Little Lian, Xiao Ba, Wandering Dandelion, Three-legged Raven of Death, before his three-colored light eyes shrank, no longer moving from the Three-legged Raven of Death, his face revealing immense joy.

”Wagga wagga wagga, hurry, hurry, hurry, Wizard World’s calling, what silly thing those wizards did, actually summoning it again!”

Xiao Ba screamed in delight.

”Leafy, I’m coming!”
