A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 1354: Chapter 1355: Eternal Tribulation (Supplement)

Within the Grand World Sphere, Green went to the Bamboo Forest Forbidden Ground at the first possible instant.

Inside the Grand World Sphere, everything was bare and desolate; at the moment Green left the Dimensional Esophagus, all former lifeforms, together with the space-time rules, had been completely left behind within the Dimensional Esophagus.

After obtaining the Grand World Sphere, Green, as the Sphere’s master, in order to eliminate the possibility that someone like himself might find those Guyak-civilization core remnants within the Grand World Sphere and thereby escape from it, had already adopted a soul-consuming control method. As the true controller of the Grand World Sphere, this was also where the future Truth Balancing Staff Head would be located.

Raising his head, he looked up. High above, the black-blue atmospheric dome’s light-curtain boiled with surging winds and clouds; beyond it lay endless, boundless darkness, as though the entire world were shrouded beneath a terrifying veil of shadow.

That was the outside Primordial Saint Ancestor of the Dark Portal enshrouding it.

As the final refuge of the Guyak civilization, attempting to create a new box inside the Endless World Box in order to evade destiny’s punishment, the Grand World Sphere had not reached the level of a true Endless World Box refuge, yet it was obviously not some meaningless existence either.

And at this moment, as Green gazed at the sky, he discovered that the rules of the Grand World Sphere had already become a self-contained system, currently resisting the erosion of the external arcs of time!

Beneath the Green Truth Mask, the Three-Colored Light Eyes were incomparably grave; his breath was slightly hurried. Relying on the control link between himself and the Grand World Sphere, he shrank the ground to inches and sped toward the direction of the control core, his heart full of tangled doubts.

Judging from the manifestation of the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor, Green could clearly sense that this Holy Ancestor had not shown the slightest concern at the emergence of the time-rule will after the Dark Portal pierced deeper layers of the Illusory World; on the contrary, he was brimming with eager excitement, as though this accident itself were also part of the plan. This gave Green an extraordinary sense of unease.

Could it be... because of the Dark Portal?

He plunged into a stretch of secluded bamboo forest, yet these bamboo groves were not lifeforms, but rule-phantoms of the Grand World Sphere.

Green arrived beside a clear pool within the bamboo forest; this was the Central Hub of the Grand World Sphere, a place where only Green could come.

Pale and slender fingers, elegant and delicate—those were the artistic hands of a Wizard. Beneath the Face of Truth, the Three-Colored Light Eyes grew solemn. Green’s palm swept across the air, and the surface of the clear pool projected the conditions outside the Grand World Sphere.

Clocks of time, one after another, blurred and Twisted, each a Gate leading toward a different historical time node, and each necessarily associated with a major historical event in which the time-rule will had appeared!

The Grand World Sphere was crashing left and right among these Gates of historical time-nodes, yet it simply could not be banished there by the time rules. Thus, Green’s originally anxious heart gradually calmed a little; at least, so long as he did not leave the Grand World Sphere, nothing should happen in the short term.

”Sigh, just now, activating the Grand World Sphere consumed some more Omnipotent Soul.”

Muttering to himself, Green quietly gazed into the clear pool, broadening the range of vision, probing toward the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor, the Dark Summit, the Double-Tail Goldfish. All was a blur; he could barely sense their presences.

...

”No! Why can’t we leave this place? What have you done to the Dark Portal?”

The Dark Summit, who had previously declared it would submit to the Old Faction, roared madly.

At this moment, the Dark Summit and the Double-Tail Goldfish, both burning their Omnipotent Souls, were actually crashing about at the Dark Portal’s exit, unable to depart. The Omnipotent Soul was reputed to be a universal substance capable of communicating with the Endless World, yet it was by no means truly omnipotent.

”The Dark Portal is the foundation of the Dark Great World; it was completed by the combined efforts of many Holy Ancestors; it is the Will Assembly Beings of the Dark Great World’s will. Though I am its founder, before it fully takes shape I fundamentally cannot influence anything. This much you should understand as well.”

The voice of the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor was void and ethereal, yet carried a trace of eerie excitement.

It was visible to the eye that, under the disturbance and freezing of the time-rule will, the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor, likewise trapped in the channel of the Dark Portal, already had more than half of his body stretched into strands as thin as smoke, solidified within the time frozen by the Gate of Space-Time, stripped of all meaning of existence.

”Why can’t we leave? Because this is its will! Pu-pu-pu-pu, just one final step, and the Dark Portal is about to be washed by time, molded by the natural phenomenon of combined wills into an eternal Holy Relic. We are witnessing its glorious history! However... the will of time is truly too powerful. To avoid failure, it needs us to share some of the burden for the Dark Portal. For the common dark will, I imagine you won’t refuse, will you? Pu-pu-pu-pu...”

”You lunatic, Primordial One, you actually dare to use us!”

”Using our Omnipotent Souls to aid the Dark Portal’s washing by time? Primordial One, don’t forget, a portion of your own true body is here as well!”

At the exit of the Dark Portal, there should have originally been a linkage to the center of the Dark Great World, the space-time Gravity pivot of this entire Dark World Cluster. The Dark Portal had attempted to use it to pierce even deeper layers of the Illusory World.

Yet at this moment, at the exit of the Dark Portal there had instead formed a dark light-curtain, upon which faintly flowed countless Runes, sealing off the exit.

Whether by coincidence or not, these Runes actually combined into a mournful, grieving visage, bearing an expression of boundless apology.

”Indeed, for the dark will, for the dream of breaking our shackles, what does it matter if I offer up a portion of my true body? The Dark Portal is our only hope. As long as the Dimensional Esophagus is opened, the Dark Great World will henceforth step into an age of pinnacle glory; the half-illusory world will transform into a higher world that pierces both reality and illusion. We will no longer be confined to this tiny patch of space-time; we shall gain a broader vision, a vaster hope!”

The Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor sank into madness.

Within the Grand World Sphere, although Green could not clearly know the specific dynamics of these Dark Ancestors, he was well aware that this was the Primordial Dark Saint Ancestor’s plan, and also the unique process by which the Dark Portal would achieve the supreme Holy Relic.

The Dark Portal was using the method by which Level Seven Endless Dominators achieve eternity, to make itself into an eternal existence capable of piercing history. This was its tribulation, which the Primordial One also called an advancement!

Once it failed, the Dark Portal would, like those exiled Dominators, vanish without a trace, and this Holy Ancestor war of the Dark World Cluster would be nothing but a winding segment of historical time.

Yet once it succeeded, the Dark World Cluster would thereby turn a brand-new page!

And the ones to turn this new page, of course, would be those existences who had made offerings, resisted the will of time, and helped the Dark Portal pass through its crisis.

Before this, however, the Dark Portal had merely been a rule forcibly molded by this cluster of worlds, a supreme natural phenomenon, unbound by any being, controlled by none, not manifesting in any concrete form. And as the Old Faction Holy Ancestors of the Dark Great World continued to hollow out its shell with their protective-shell plan, the Dark Portal was losing its supply of rule-energy, and would gradually collapse of itself with the flow of time.

”Roar, Primordial One, what is going on!”

”No, it is corroding my body, trying to space-time transport me...”

Just then, from beneath the Dark Portal, there unexpectedly came the wills of two unfamiliar Holy Ancestors. Evidently, like Green, Dark Rose, the Dark Summit, and the Double-Tail Goldfish, they had only just been drawn from the ancestral battlefield by the Dark Portal and brought here to the Dark Portal.

These Holy Ancestors were existences who had experienced the tempering of the Dimensional Esophagus. At this moment, in order to resist the time-rule will and avoid being exiled by the time rules, they too were burning Dominator Almighty Soul, resisting the time rules.

And these Holy Ancestors were the strongest helpers for the Dark Portal’s ”tribulation”!
