This breath…

From afar, the Infernal God set its sights on the Savage Flame Giant. It ignored whatever that was in between, including the Dark Destroyer that was infuriated, Grimm that was covered with black flames, and also the Thousand-eyed Carcinus that had escaped into the world gate.

The breath was familiar and intimate, it was as if…

Suddenly, the Infernal God was struck by a flashback of memories. Stunned, it stood on the ground motionless, as if the scene played before it as if it had just happened yesterday. It also stopped sneering at Dark Destroyer which at that time, was being harassed by a low-level creature.

It was about five hundred years ago in the Infernal Spirit World, the day the opening ceremony of the world gate toward the Burrow World was being held in the Darksmother Kingdom. It was then that the Infernal God had an urge to secretly descend into the Burrow World.

There was a massive slaughter of low-level creatures, which testified to the growth of the race. Reverence could be seen coming from the younger generations.

Everything seemed to be normal. However, nobody knew that the everlasting memories of shame and suffering of the Infernal God had occurred in this enslaved Burrow World!

It was a rare occurrence that had been discovered by the Infernal God after the massive slaughter of the creatures from the Burrow World.

At the same location, the Infernal God was able to utilize the temporary occurrence of the Soul Tide and randomly triggered a connection toward an unknown world that was far away.

It was extremely surprising!

It was extremely exciting!

The Infernal God immediately used the Soul Tide Mirror and discovered an exotic world extremely rich in souls. Ruled by humans, these souls were unbelievably weak.

Utilizing its ability to exchange souls via the mighty power that it possessed, the Infernal God was able to collect a group of human souls from the world and formed a pack of loyal followers for itself.

The Infernal God realized that the world was named the Sorcerer World, a world undiscovered even by the first great Acraepoid King.

What a wonderful world it was.

The rulers of the humans had such exotic souls that could be put to great use. However, none of them were used in Soul Energy. Even the physical strength of their own bodies was unbelievably weak.

This…

This would definitely be the heaven described in mythical tales, a place that was sought after by countless Acraepoids since ancient times.

The ravaging greed of the Infernal God was endless. It would do anything to gather each and every human soul from the Sorcerer World. Once it had enough of them, it would secretly utilize their mighty power to open up the world gate that connected the Sorcerer World.

When that time came…

As long as it conquered the exotic and unbelievable Sorcerer World, it could feast on batches of human souls that were equally exotic and special. This was true even for the First Acraepoid King.

The continuous excitement and evil sneers could be heard as time slowly crept by.

One day, via the Soul Tide Mirror, the Infernal God suddenly discovered an unbelievably fresh and exotic soul within the Sorcerer World.

The soul was flawless and pure while releasing a seductive scent similar to an ocean.

In fact, it was the curse of the ocean that had released the special scent.

It seemed to have come from dead creatures that had spewed curses from their souls in order to attract the attention of other creatures also sensitive toward other souls.

The Infernal God was driven by a strong urge of possession considering it was an extremely rare and special encounter of a soul.

Very quickly, the soul was coerced to enter into a highly honorable Infernal Spirit Contract with the Infernal God. The soul would receive a minimal amount of energy; its cost, the trading of its own soul.

“This makes me feel lonely. I cannot share the excitement, joy, and thrill with others. By the time I have absorbed all of the souls of these weak and foolish humans, and also conquer this Sorcerer World, I will be the god among all others. I shall be undefeated, even among the other gods!”

The Infernal God could not believe the potential for growth that would come after possessing the exotic soul of the human. It was the entire Sorcerer World of countless souls that awaited its collection.

“All these are like visions of a wonderful dream.”

As for the low-level creatures that had signed the contract, they would just need to contribute their easily obtainable Infernal Spirit Power. The reward of that would become a few hundred folds after a waiting period of more than a hundred years.

The Infernal God would gather a huge amount of power to transmit the highly honorable Infernal Spirit Contract via the world mirror. The soul would then belong to it once both parties signed the contract together.

However, the result was…

Poof!

Suddenly, the scenes from the wonderful dream shattered into pieces.

The world mirror, a discovery so precious and rare was broken by such a small amount of physical strength of a tiny creature from the Sorcerer World!

This puny human!

He had broken the world mirror!

He lied to the great Infernal God!

He had destroyed all of the dreams of the great Infernal God!

The world mirror that was formed from the Soul Tide had been destroyed by a tiny creature more insignificant than Acraepoid warriors from the Acraepoid World…

It! Was! Destroyed! He even mocked himself as the “Dumb foreign creature!”

If the anger of Infernal God caused by Grimm’s attack were to be measured in units of tens and was labeled as the anger of God, then the anger of the Infernal God towards Grimm would have already reached 10,000 units!

It was no longer just anger, but a deep-seated hatred that came from the bottom of the heart. It was unforgettable and unforgivable.

“Ah…”

The Infernal God could not forget the moment of shame that was hidden deep within its heart, the heavenly dream of connecting the Sorcerers World, and the promise that was once made to its own.

Its soul must have been trapped inside the filthiest spot of a pig’s stomach to bear all of the sufferings it could imagine, and enjoy all of the torture that would be arranged for him, and let him…

This evil, cunning and treacherous human from the Sorcerers World!

As if the painful memories were from yesterday, the Infernal God could feel its own breath from the elemental body of the Savage Flame Giant. It stared into Grimm’s intrinsic soul. Its soul sight was a pale blue color when it extended a hundred meters and passed through everything in between. This included the dark flames, the Dark Destroyer, the Yellow Sand Guardian, and the Soul Guardian.

This breath…

Indeed, it was this same soul breath!

The Infernal God froze and stopped sneering as it let out a deep growl as if from a primitive beast. A ‘Poof’ sound was heard when the pale blue flames ignited and glowed in the eyes of the Dark Destroyer.

This soul had encountered certain changes producing an allure that was similar to the ocean…

There was no mistaking it. He was a human from the Sorcerer World.

This creature that had appeared in the world gate from the Burrow World was indeed the same human that came from the Sorcerer World.

It was this very human that had broken the world mirror, the creature that had brought on endless shame, humiliation, and horrifying dreams. It was the filthy and ugly face of a human that constantly sneered at the Infernal God, a soul deeply hated by it.

“Ahh…”

The Infernal God’s anger finally exploded!

It let out a roar that was filled with hatred, then looked toward the ugly and filthy human that had brought itself endless humiliation and shame. He was about to die in the hands of the Infernal God. It was almost too easy for him to die just like that.

Boom!

Black flames that extended hundreds of meters around the area created space fluctuations. Under the effect of these fluctuations, explosions of elemental waves from the Infernal God destroyed a few Flame Burrows that stood thousands of meters tall around the city of the Darkborne Kingdom.

Immediately, the Darkborne Kingdom was in chaos as screams, yells, and wails of despair filled the atmosphere.

The sudden shift in the atmosphere had also alarmed the Dark Destroyer that stood before the world gate. It held onto its power of the infernal spirit that was about to kill Grimm, then turned around and growled, “Infernal God, you…”

“Roar!”

The Dark Destroyer noticed that the Infernal God was infuriated and filled with madness.

Its eyes that were originally pale-blue had gradually turned to a fiery red. A giant hand covered in dark-colored flames extended to cover the sky above, rushing toward the Dark Destroyer as it rammed and killed thousands of Acraepoid Warriors along the way.

“You are insane!”

The Dark Destroyer let out a growl in anger and both infernal gods from the Acraepoid World crashed into each other. A loud booming voice came from within the explosions of the gigantic black flames.

“What stunning power… from an infernal spirit…” The Dark Destroyer was in disbelief as its power of infernal spirit started to disseminate after the clash.

How could it have improved that much in a matter of a few thousand years?

While the Dark Destroyer was still shocked and puzzled, Grimm blasted away from the control of the infernal spirit and shot himself into the world gate.

“It is not your problem!”

The Infernal God which was drowning in its madness ignored the Dark Destroyer’s questions. Surprisingly, it dunked its head into the world gate that connected the Burrow World.

This world gate was different from the Dimensional Gate of a Destiny Lever or a natural World Aperture.

Although the Dimensional Gate did not work by passing through the void tunnel, the aperture that was created by the Destiny Lever had caused time to alter.

World Aperture was the basic rule that connected the boundless worlds together. It would partially join two worlds as one by disregarding the hollow shadows of both worlds.

Although such a world gate had a special feature that could weaken the hollow shadow, it would still need a void tunnel to act as its medium.

At that moment, Grimm had fallen into the void tunnel.

“You can’t escape! You won’t be able to escape! You will not…”

The Infernal God growled continuously as it used every bit of its strength to squeeze its gigantic body into the world gate with half of its body stuck in between. Under the influence of the infernal spirit’s principal power that was being continuously released, the gate slowly expanded.

A while later, the Infernal God managed to squeeze its entire body into the gate and disappeared.

Acraepoids that scattered around the sky were shocked by the scene unfolding before them. Even the thousands of noble creatures that had come from the gate were shocked by the slaughter and destruction that had been triggered by the anger of the two great gods.

This was especially true with the presence of the Infernal God.

Thus, the city of Darkborne Kingdom!

The unintentional anger from the Infernal God which the Flame Burrow’s buildings had cost the lives of tens of thousands of little Acraepoids. Among the Acraepoids were offspring of aristocrats. A short pause ensued after the shocking moment. Some Noble Acraepoids let out their loud growls and led a swarm of low-level Acraepoids to barge into the world gate.
