In the sky.

A legion that consisted of Soul Slaves in the millions covered the sunlight like tidewater. They cast a huge shadow over the grounds beneath.

They were once at the apex of the food chain from the corner of the world of which they came from. Their worlds had since been dominated by the sorcerer’s world.

When they had submitted to the will of the sorcerers, they had sold their souls to the ‘evil’ sorcerers and followed them in their conquest around the foreign worlds.

The incessant killing and absolute submission to the sorcerer’s will became their living principle.

In the neverending battles of the sorcerers, the weak perish while the strong survive. There’s always a fresh batch of Soul Slaves joining. Soul Slaves that had survived became stronger in each battle.

They were the evil claws that represented the sorcerer’s will, the cruel and sinister side that contradicted the advanced civilization of the sorcerers. They were the superficial representation of the sorcerer’s world known as slaves.

…

The sunlight-covering legion of Soul Slaves that numbered in millions were protecting huge formations of ten-thousand Bright Sorcerer army. Their boiling elemental energy was converging into the Bright Sorcerer’s formation without pause, like strings of ribbons.

These Bright Sorcerer legions ran a tight ship. They were the direct embodiment of the advanced laws and civilization of the sorcerer’s world.

They’ve received great education and training from the sorcerer’s world. After they’ve been through the cold, cruel disqualifying battles of the sorcerer’s academy, they’ve clearly seen the cruel nature of the world. The sharpest among them went on to become real sorcerers and gave selflessly to the sorcerer’s world, known by the world for their straight and altruistic virtues.

When a full formation of bright sorcerers exceeds ten thousand in numbers, they have earned the right to face off and challenge a World Lord.

At this moment, there were almost a hundred of these Bright Sorcerer formation flying across the sky!

…

There were seven hundred voidships reflecting lights of their cold, metallic bodies as they flew in between the Bright Sorcerer legions. They were in a neat and organized formation.

They made up a part of the Bright Sorcerer’s formation and were the most essential representation of remnants of the ancient mechanical sorcerers’s quest to explore the true arcane principles in the endless world. They were the pride of the sorcerer’s world’s most important hub, the Sky City.

The main cannon of the voidship, the Occult Pulverizer, was ready at standby.

The defensive points of each voidships would make every creature beneath the World Lord level feel helpless while the damage wrought by the Occult Pulverizer was enough to threaten a World Lord.

The mechanical sorcerers were operating under the same principle of leverage. There were more than twenty low-level sorcerers in each voidship, but when their powers unite, they could even threaten a World Lord.

For some creatures of the foreign world, this seemed absolutely unbelievable!

…

A reckless-looking Dark Sorcerer was hiding in darkness. Once a battle breaks out, it would be explosive.

Dark Sorcerers often accomplished their ideals using the most extreme means. Their cold, cruel way of upbringing during their apprenticeships ensure perfect control of their emotions as well as thoughts.

Killing was just a basic instinct of Dark Sorcerers. Some of the Dark Sorcerers have even turned killing into an art of survival.

Only this way could the Dark Sorcerers, who were essentially elemental sorcerers, become the most terrifying lone sorcerer units of the foreign expeditions, conducting various small-scale campaigns effectively in an outstanding manner.

Even the job of protecting the Holy Tower of the sorcerer’s mainland to prevent Black Sorcerers from seeping in fell into the hands of the Dark Sorcerers.

And thus, on their own, they were the strongest sorcerers that were trained by the laws and principles of the holy tower of the sorcerer’s world. But due to the extreme and cruel nature of their training, they were often misunderstood by the general populace. They were thought of as a bunch of immoral crazies who used their sorcerer’s knowledge to kill.

Actually, among the dark sorcerers, there had been some who had been acknowledged by the ‘general populace’ to be morally virtuous.

Unfortunately, they’ve either died off during their beginner’s period of have gradually turned into a real Dark Sorcerer.

…

At the top of these Demon-hunting Sorcerers were the five great Stigmata Sorcerers.

The five Stigmata Sorcerers were exceptionally mysterious, exceptionally dignified, and exceptionally powerful as they stood at the highest level of the sky.

Black Isotta, the Dark Realm Stigmata Sorcerer, the Mandala Stigmata Sorceress, the Hourglass Stigmata Sorcerer, and the Ivory Fort Stigmata Sorcerer.

The Bone Bell Tower Stigmata Sorcerer did not appear since he was protecting Grimm’s principal soul in the sorcerer’s tower of the void fortress.

The five Stigmata Sorcerers were merely standing at the highest peak of the many Demon-hunting Sorcerers, but it appeared as if an invisible ring of halo was expanding infinitely. It made the hundreds of thousands of Demon-hunting Sorcerers stood in awe and envy. It made the millions of Soul Slaves submit to their will.

They were the great existence that stood on the same level as a World Lord from a foreign world, the stigmata sorcerers!

In front of the five Stigmata Sorcerers were a legion of Soul Slaves made up of a thousand ferocious, violent, and terrifying-looking Soul Slaves. The Thousand-eyed Carcinus was merely an inconspicuous one among them.

Whoosh!

The space-time became distorted, followed by a blink of elemental sand dust.

Faintly, a figure appeared that wore a pale spiral-patterned mask, with a Sabbatical Goat Staff at his hand that was obscured by a cloud of yellow sand appeared on top of the Thousand-eyed Carcinus’s shell. He landed deftly on the red-brownish hair of the huge crab in front.

Grimm, a member of the three-hundred-thousand strong army of the demon-hunting Dark Sorcerers!

Grimm bowed down to each of the five Stigmata Sorcerers in front in accordance with the sorcerer’s etiquette. He then looked at the massive Soul Slave legion below that spanned hundreds of kilometers across the sky, blocking a huge portion of the sunlight.

He looked toward the neat formation of the Bright Sorcerers that were millions of numbers in strength. They were standing at attention.

He looked at the Dark Demon-hunting Sorcerers like him, who were carelessly scattered among the demon-hunting legion…

He then looked at the seven hundred over voidships as well as the huge void fortress from the sorcerer’s world that spanned almost twenty kilometers.

Grim drew a cold breath. He directed the Thousand-eyed Carcinus to bring them closer to the front of the thousand-strong intelligent Soul Slaves.

It was also at the forefront of all the demon-hunting formation and the Stigmata Sorcerers.

At the Surficial Tundra of the Burrow World, the Snowthread Worm and some other native critters seemed to have picked up on something. They were scurrying away into the depths of the Burrow World out of their primal instinct. The fear came from the depths of their souls.

As if it was the reason why countless Snowthread Worms had been digging deeper into the Burrow World.

The battle spirits of the various creatures of the Burrow World seemed to have been awoken by something. They’ve actually stopped killing each other and went into hiding, as if ready to deal their killing blows at moment’s notice.

The rules of the Burrow World had changed.

In each corner of the Burrow World, flocks of creatures that had been discovered by Grimm such as the Ice Bat and the Flying Squirrels were controlled by a mysterious creature. Their eyes grew red. As their nutritious souls were released by their guardians, they exploded out of some reason.

Countless numbers of souls hovered to the sky, guided by some mysterious energy. They started to gather.

On top of Grimm’s head.

A gate that connected the world, made up of innumerable converging of the Burrow World’s souls, gradually appeared.

The gate spanned about a hundred meters. As the souls converged, it emitted a faint glow. The door seemed to connect the Burrow World with another mysterious foreign world.

Grimm raised the Sabbatical Goat Staff on his right hand suddenly. He waved it violently. “Charge!” He shouted underneath his Mask of Truth.

The Thousand-eyed Carcinus led the charge. Thousands of the most intelligent Soul Slaves rushed into the world gate that had yet to complete its final form like tidewater. They vanished without a trace.
