Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

”Yes, Uncle Lei, this is your fault.”

Fang Susu also added from the side. Lei Ming sighed and said, ”Do you think I want this? But what else can I do? Should we just let the Little Ming King fall into the hands of the Six Great Sects?”

Upon hearing this, Fang Susu looked in the direction of the Little Ming King, seeing him timid and fearful, said, ”Uncle Lei, with all due respect, if the Little Ming King is caught, let him be caught. What effect would that have on us?”

As soon as these words were spoken, Lei Ming looked at Fang Susu and said, ”Ah, Susu, how can you not understand yet?”

Fang Susu said, ”What don’t I understand? Isn’t it because he is the son of Ming King Han Shantong? Han Shantong had a past friendship with my father, but this matter of emotions can’t be paid for with so many lives!”

Lei Ming heard this and gave a bitter smile at Fang Susu, saying, ”Susu, you think too simply. We must save the Little Ming King not just for this reason. Saying the Dragon King had an old friendship with the Ming King is true and one reason, but there’s also another reason.”

Fang Susu puzzled, ”What other reason is there?”

Lei Ming pondered for a moment before speaking, ”Righteousness and legitimacy!”

Fang Susu confused, ”What righteousness? Legitimacy?”

Lei Ming began to explain, ”There are now thirty-six routes of rebel armies in the land. But most have connections with the Holy Sect, including the Maitreya Sect in Hubei, the Divine Dragon Sect on the East Sea, and various rebellion armies. To put it bluntly, many are split from our Holy Sect; they were disciples of our Holy Sect.”

”And many of them raise the flag of the Red Turban Army, pledging allegiance to the Ming King. Even though many have carved out territories as kings, none dare to abandon the flag of the Ming King, because the common people will come to join and pay tribute upon hearing you are the Ming King’s army.”

”Thus, these rebel armies can expand their territories, recruit soldiers and horses. If the righteousness is gone, they cannot stay for even a moment. Without the court’s interference, they would starve if not supported by the common people.”

”They live relying on the blessings of the Ming King and naturally bear the burdens of the Ming King. The Little Ming King is a continuation of the Ming King. If the Little Ming King is lost this time, the court can completely use him as bait to attract heroes from all over to save him. If these heroes do not save him, they would lose the banner of the Ming King and find it hard to recruit soldiers and horses afterward.”

”But if they do save him, then the court will set traps to capture all the heroes, regardless of the outcome, the loss will be the heroes of the land, the force against Qian.”

”This is the reason why we are here to save the Little Ming King.”

Lei Ming finally explained the political reason for saving the Little Ming King. To put it simply, the Little Ming King holds righteousness and legitimacy; whoever holds him has a good card.

So everyone would risk their lives to save him!

Fang Susu and Fang Zheng listened and realized the importance of the Little Ming King. At this moment, they looked towards Chen Jie, who was confronting Master Kong Wen in the center, and frowned because it seemed that Chen Brother chose not to use the Jade Maiden Sword out of personal sentiments was a mistake.

If they lose, the loss would be the rebel army of the land!

Everyone thought and turned their attention back to Chen Jie and Master Kong Wen. At this moment, no one believed Chen Jie had any hope of winning, as Chen Jiusi, unable to make any progress with two palms, had no possibility of victory. By now, all members of the Zoroastrian Sect were in despair.

One by one, they watched the scene, waiting for the final result, hoping Chen Jie would perform a third move to see if any miracle would appear.

However, just when everyone thought no miracle would happen, Master Kong Wen suddenly sighed, recited a Buddhist prayer: ”Amitabha Buddha, the old monk admits defeat!”
