Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Some loyal and righteous sects, like Wudang and Shaolin, everyone looked at Chen Jie thinking, ”This is a true hero.”

Meanwhile, some sects with inherently sinister intentions, like the Kunlun Sect and the Five Mountains Sword Alliance, many people showed disdainful expressions, scoffing at him, thinking, ”You don’t use the Jade Maiden Sword and still hope to win? Dream on!”

Really pretentious.

Many people thought this way, including some of Chen Jie’s friends, Liu Caidie, Han Ling’er, all looked puzzled and said, ”Is Chen Jiusi foolish? That Jade Maiden Sword is the number one sword in the world. Without it, how could he possibly win against that old monk Kong Wen!”

Unexpectedly, at this moment, Du Xiong said solemnly, ”You don’t understand a thing. This is how a man should be!”

Du Xiong looked at Chen Jie with admiration, thinking a real man should be this way; winning through despicable means is trash!

Liu Caidie and Han Ling’er turned to look at Du Xiong with disdain on their faces and said, ”That’s called foolishness. Why not use the sword? If he’s not foolish, then who is?”

Seeing the two women like this, Du Xiong refused to engage with them, saying, ”A summer insect cannot discuss ice!”

However, looking at Chen Jie, his gaze was filled with a special admiration—respect, yearning, a heartfelt esteem.

At this point, Chen Jie slowly approached Master Kong Wen, who also looked at him with surprise.

”Mr. Chen, you should really use the Jade Maiden Sword. Without it, you might not be able to win against me.”

Kong Wen said to Chen Jie.

Chen Jie smiled and said, ”A gentleman born into the world, some things can be done, some cannot. If I win against the master using it, I fear I would never be at peace for the rest of my life.”

Hearing Chen Jie’s words, Kong Wen nodded gently and said, ”You are very different from other people.”

Chen Jie replied, ”Nothing special, perhaps my moral bottom line is just a bit higher.”

”Higher moral bottom line, hahaha... indeed, a higher moral bottom line. Mr. Chen, you possess a strong Buddha Nature. Have you considered joining our Shaolin?”

Chen Jie heard this and said, ”Master wants to take me as a disciple?”

Kong Wen said, ”I probably cannot take you as my disciple. But if you are willing, you could join under my uncle Kudu, or I could take you as a disciple on behalf of my master!”

Chen Jie replied, ”Thank you, Master, for the honor. But I have unfinished earthly ties; I have two beloved wives at home and a dear friend waiting for marriage outside. If I were to renounce the world, they would become widows in effect. The Buddha says to save oneself before saving others; I haven’t even figured myself out yet, so how can I save others?”

Kong Wen laughed and said, ”You have a remarkable Buddha Nature, a rare talent in our Buddhist sect. It’s a pity you’re unwilling to join; otherwise, our sect would gain another Buddha.”

Upon hearing this, everyone was shocked, for Kong Wen had compared Chen Jie to the Buddha, a truly high evaluation.

Even many disciples of the Buddhist sect felt Master Kong Wen was over-glorifying Chen Jiusi, but couldn’t find words to argue at the moment; they could only look at Chen Jie, then at Master Kong Wen.

Chen Jie was also taken aback by Kong Wen’s words, then said, ”Master, you overpraise me. Jiusi would not dare to accept such a compliment.”

After these words, Chen Jie looked at Master Kong Wen and said, ”Master, we’ve spoken enough; can we start now?”

Master Kong Wen said, ”Yes, then let’s get started. Three moves will decide victory or defeat. Please!”

With these words, Chen Jie immediately gathered all his Gang Qi, and moments later, a giant dragon formed behind him.

Suddenly, he widened his eyes fiercely, ”Master, take this strike!”
