Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

No, right?

Exactly, this is the advantage of Master Jue Mie. When used well, a mere diode can turn into a fervent follower!

Thinking this, Chen Jie looked around, only to see the expressions of those around him written all over their faces, surprised by Master Jue Mie’s direct confrontation with Shaolin.

At this moment, Kong Xiang was fuming, and angrily shouted, ”Jue Mie you old nun, think carefully. By opposing our Shaolin, you are courting a disaster that even a mere sect leader like you cannot handle. If things get out of hand, how will you face the Emei guardians and your senior sister in the future?”

After hearing Kong Xiang’s words, the old nun Jue Mie calmly replied, ”Since I, Jue Mie, have dared to act, I dare to bear the consequences. You don’t have to frighten me.”

”You!”

Kong Xiang was furious, his eyes bloodshot, while Master Jue Mie’s expression remained indifferent. Kong Xiang couldn’t take it any longer and roared, ”You old nun have gone too far, I’ll fight you to the end!”

With that, Kong Xiang directly attacked Master Jue Mie, but just as he was about to strike, he suddenly heard a stern shout, ”Stop!”

Kong Xiang paused, turned his head to see his calm-faced brother Kong Wen, who said, ”Kong Xiang, do not be rude.”

Looking at Kong Wen, Kong Xiang said, ”This old nun is really infuriating. We’ve come together to eliminate evil and uphold justice, and now she sides with the traitor, it’s outrageous. Brother, let me teach this old nun a lesson!”

Kong Wen frowned at these words and said, ”Kong Xiang, do not be angry!”

Kong Xiang’s expression paused, and he followed with, ”Amitabha Buddha.”

Forcing his temper down, Kong Wen looked at Kong Xiang and asked, ”Feeling better?”

Kong Xiang did not answer, and Kong Wen said, ”I have stated before; no matter what means Chen Jiusi uses, as long as he can defeat me within three moves, it counts as his win. Now, even if he wants to borrow a sword to injure me, it doesn’t count as breaking the rules. Why are you trying to stop him?”

Hearing this, Kong Xiang loudly said, ”But he wants to borrow the Jade Maiden Sword, the world’s number one sword, which is incredibly sharp, even if you, my brother!”

”Silence!”

Kong Wen said, ”I’ve stated, using weapons does not count as breaking the rules. What of the Jade Maiden Sword, what of the world’s number one sword? I will take it!”

Kong Xiang said, ”Alright, alright, brother, you are generous. But even if it’s not against the rules to use the sword, it’s not right for that old nun to lend him the sword. She came with us to extinguish the Demon Sect, and now lends the sword in battle, is that not desertion? Shouldn’t she be caught and executed as a traitor!”

Kong Xiang’s temper was as fiery as ever, and upon hearing this, Kong Wen cast a glance at Master Jue Mie, whose face remained calm, as if already prepared for any decision.

Seeing Master Jue Mie like this, Kong Wen understood that she feared nothing, so why should she fear death!

Master Jue Mie was ready to accept any punishment; words seemed futile at this moment. Moreover, the Six Great Sects had a delicate balance now, and Shaolin dared not easily offend Emei.

After contemplating, Kong Wen could only swallow his anger.

At this moment, Kong Wen looked at Master Jue Mie and said, ”Kong Xiang, what the Master has done is not wrong. The Jade Maiden Sword belongs to Emei, and as the Emei Sect Leader, she naturally has the authority to decide its ownership. She can lend it to whoever she wants; who can criticize her for it?”

”Master, don’t hold a grudge against Kong Xiang. You may lend the sword to Chen Jiusi, and Chen Jiusi may use it to attack me. In fact, I am curious to see just how sharp the world’s number one sword is!”

Kong Wen the Great Monk certainly lived up to being the Shaolin Abbot; his demeanor was unmatched, causing many to quietly give him a thumbs up. Look at that broad-mindedness!

After Kong Wen finished speaking, he looked at Chen Jie and said, ”Mr. Chen, please!”

Master Jue Mie glanced at Kong Wen and said, ”Today’s matter will be counted as a debt of Emei to you Shaolin, which will surely be repaid in the future.”

Kong Wen recited a Buddhist mantra, ”Amitabha Buddha!”

Master Jue Mie then handed the Jade Maiden Sword to Chen Jie, saying, ”Take it.”

Chen Jie, however, stepped back half a step and gestured with his hand, ”No, I cannot use this sword!”

Hearing this, Master Jue Mie asked in confusion, ”What did you say?”

”I cannot use this sword!”

Ji Xiaohong remarked, ”Brother Chen, are you crazy? Without the Jade Maiden Sword, how will you beat Master Kong Wen?”

Chen Jie looked at Ji Xiaohong and said, ”Using this sword, I won’t be able to beat Master Kong Wen. Not only will I not beat Master Kong Wen, I will lose my integrity!”

Upon hearing this, the crowd was in an uproar, everyone looking at Chen Jie in confusion.

Then Chen Jie said, ”Master, everyone, I know you all mean well for me, but precisely because you mean well for me, I cannot harm you.”

”This Jade Maiden Sword is the world’s number one sword, exceptionally sharp. With this sword, I might have a chance to defeat Master Kong Wen, but it would be an unfair victory, and I cannot reconcile that within myself.”

”Furthermore, for the sake of lending me the sword, the Master went as far as to offend Shaolin. This favor, I, Chen Jiusi, shall never forget. But if I were to truly use this sword, it would be like placing the Master and Emei in a perilous situation.”

”I, Chen Jiusi, though dull, know not to betray my friends.”

”Master, the members of Emei have treated me with sincerity, how could I dare not to reciprocate with the same sincerity?”

With that, Chen Jie cupped his fists toward the Emei members and said, ”Master, everyone, thank you! I, Chen Jiusi, will remember this kindness, but I cannot use this sword.”

Master Jue Mie and the Emei members were touched. For Chen Jiusi to relinquish his chance of victory in order not to put them in a difficult position, what kind of spirit is this!

The crowd thought this way, then watched as Chen Jie said, ”Everyone, let me have a genuine match with Master Kong Wen!”

Upon hearing this, everyone fell silent, and then they watched as Chen Jie turned and stood before Master Kong Wen, with the people from various sects behind him looking at Chen Jie’s back with varied expressions.
