Daily Intelligence System: Don't Kill Me, Honey!

Shaolin, since ancient times, has been the Taishan Beidou of the Martial Arts world. Ever since Dharma crossed eastward, Shaolin has established its foothold in the Central Plains, becoming a myth in the martial arts.

At its peak, masters were as numerous as clouds, and it was even praised as the source of all martial arts in the world.

Although Shaolin has somewhat declined in recent years, lacking invincible martial artists like Zhang Sanfeng and Han Shantong, it still remains unshaken in its position as Taishan Beidou of the martial arts.

This is because in every era, it can certainly consistently produce a batch of high-quality martial artists.

Perhaps these people cannot lead Shaolin to the top, but in every era, Shaolin’s martial artists can steadily enter the Heavenly List, Earth List, and other powerful rankings.

This stability has lasted for thousands of years, giving them an unparalleled foundation. Therefore, no matter which sect, when facing Shaolin, they must show respect, which is the prestige of Shaolin.

Thus, in the battle of the Six Great Sects, Master Kong Wen of Shaolin made a grand entrance, whether it was the people of Wudang, appearing like the pride of the heavens,

or other sects, all knew that this final hurdle should be tackled by Shaolin.

Wudang actually respects Shaolin quite a bit, considering their ancestor, Master Sanfeng, was once a Shaolin disciple, an unchangeable fact. Ancestor Sanfeng was once a disciple of Master Jue Yuan, then left Shaolin to found Wudang.

Because of this past connection, the relationship between Shaolin and Wudang is quite good.

At this point, Master Kong Wen stepped forward and came before Chen Jie, saying, ”Amitabha!”

Chen Jie knew Master Kong Wen’s status in Jianghu, so he directly saluted and said, ”Master!”

Kong Wen said, ”Mr. Chen is indeed a Heavenly Mandate Person. In the last Treasure Book Glory Conference in Longxing Prefecture, you shined brightly. My uncle, Kudu, will evaluate you as Heavenly Pride.”

Chen Jie immediately replied, ”Master, you over-praise. I’m just a crude person. By the way, I heard that my friend Zhu Chongba has joined your Shaolin?”

Kong Wen said, ”Hmm, Brother Chongba is now under my uncle Kudu, studying Buddhist Law. Why does Mr. Chen suddenly mention him?”

Chen Jie said, ”Master, don’t laugh. Firstly, Brother Chongba and I hit it off at first sight, so I ask. Secondly, Brother Chongba was once part of the Zoroastrian Sect, now joining Shaolin, which means Shaolin and the Zoroastrian Sect have a connection. Master, why not consider this relationship and reconcile with the Zoroastrian Sect, rather than intensify the tension and strain relations?”

Master Kong Wen smiled and said, ”Mr. Chen, you indeed have a clever tongue. With a few words, you almost entangled this old monk.”

Chen Jie said, ”What do you mean by entangling Master? I’m just stating some facts; Master is overthinking.”

Kong Wen laughed gently, ”Chen Jiusi, things have come to this, and I don’t want to argue about right or wrong. The Six Great Sects besieging Bright Peak and you defeating four sects and killing two sect leaders means you’ve made enemies with us. As the leader of the Six Great Sects, Shaolin must stand up for our brotherhood.”

Chen Jie listened to Master Kong Wen’s words and said, ”Master, I know our battle is inevitable, but I would still like to speak with you. I wonder if Master is willing to listen.”

Master Kong Wen said, ”If I don’t want to listen, will you not speak?”

Chen Jie said, ”Even if you don’t want to listen, I must speak. Master, don’t put this black hat on my head. Master, you’ve watched the whole process; you should know the situation in your heart.”

”Chang Xuzi and Master Jue Mie’s confusion aside, let’s talk about the two deceased. Tang Feng first used the Blood Devouring Poison on me, then I countered with Heaven and Earth Transposition. If he didn’t want to kill me, how could I have killed him?”

”Also, this Zuo Buqun of the Five Mountains Sword Alliance truly lives up to his name, Unclustered. Such a despicable person, during our greeting, he used a hidden weapon to attack me. Using the Five Ghosts Door Nails of the Northwest Demon Sect’s Black Wood Cliff, he nailed my Tan Zhong Acupoint. If I hadn’t used Qiankun Great Method to shift the acupoint, I would be dead by now.”

”Zuo Buqun acted like this; what face does he have to be called a reputable sect? I’m curious if Master feels ashamed to associate Shaolin with him?”

Chen Jie, unhurriedly, looked at Master Kong Wen and spoke his thoughts, causing Master Kong Wen to feel ashamed and, for a moment, not knowing how to respond, could only remain silent.

”Master, I know that a battle between us cannot be avoided. Master may claim it’s to eradicate demons and defend the path, or any other grandiose words. But to say it’s vengeance for a demon path scoundrel like Alliance Leader Zuo of the Five Mountains Sword Alliance, would tarnish the reputation of Shaolin, this millennium-old temple.”

Chen Jie finished and looked at Master Kong Wen, ”Master, I’ve finished speaking. Is there anything you wish to say?”

Master Kong Wen looked at Chen Jie and sighed, ”Ah, you’re truly eloquent, leaving me speechless for a moment. However, Chen Jiusi, you must understand that today’s matter cannot end peacefully, so this battle is unavoidable!”

Chen Jie said, ”It is an honor for this junior to battle Master Kong Wen. I hope to have an exchange of martial skills, rather than a vendetta in Jianghu!”

Master Kong Wen said, ”Very well, even if it’s an exchange of martial skills. Mr. Chen, make your move.”

Chen Jie said, ”It is Jiusi’s honor to exchange insights with the Master.”

With that, Chen Jie raised his hand, and immediately, the sound of dragons roaring resounded—it was the Seventeen Dragon Capturing Palms.
