Wild Crazy Male Lead's Forced Love, You Don't Want, I Want!

77: Forced Love Boss 2Su Wanqing succeeded.

She rushed out, not looking back, not daring to pause for a moment. She plunged into the dense, wind-whipped trees beyond the Li Residence’s back wall, her slender figure quickly swallowed by the boundless darkness and rain.

At the same time, in the Li Residence’s surveillance room.

”Captain! Footage from rear door C-zone is lost!” A young bodyguard, staring at the screen that had suddenly turned to static, spoke with a hint of barely perceptible panic.

Chen Feng, who had just lit a cigarette and hadn’t even taken a puff, spun around, a sudden ominous premonition flashing through his mind.

He threw away the cigarette and rushed to the main control panel, his fingers rapidly switching between nearby camera feeds. Everything else was normal, but that damned blind spot near the servant’s exit, the signal had been interrupted!

”Damn it!” Chen Feng cursed under his breath, immediately grabbed the walkie-talkie, his voice taut: ”Attention everyone! Rear door C-zone anomaly! Immediately seal all exits! Repeat, immediately seal all...”

However, it was all too late.

When the bodyguards rushed to the back door, as if facing a formidable enemy, they only saw the ground, washed clean by the rain, and the dark forest swaying in the storm, as if opening its giant maw.

Su Wanqing, the woman Mr. Li had kept under strict watch for months, had vanished without a trace, like a drop of water merging into the ocean.

A tremendous fear seized Chen Feng’s heart. His face was pale, knowing what awaited him. He tremblingly picked up the internal direct line phone and dialed the number that represented absolute terror.

In Li Jin’s study.

Li Jin was irritably flipping through a document. The incessant rain outside scratched at his nerves like countless tiny claws, and a vague sense of unease swirled in his heart. The internal phone on his desk suddenly rang, its sharp chime particularly jarring in the silent study.

He frowned as he answered: ”Speak.”

Chen Feng’s voice, filled with extreme fear and trembling, came through the phone: ”Mr... Mr. Li... Miss Su... she... she’s gone! Rear door C-zone surveillance... surveillance has a blind spot... we... we are searching with all our might...”

”What?!”

Li Jin’s pupils suddenly constricted to pinpricks! A coldness, enough to freeze the soul, instantly shot from his feet to his head, then was completely ignited and consumed by an even more violent, more scorching rage!

”Gone...?” His voice was terrifyingly low, each word like an ice shard squeezed from between his teeth, carrying a destructive premonition.

”Useless!!!” A beast-like roar suddenly exploded! Like a clap of thunder from a clear sky, it instantly tore through the deathly silence of the study!

Li Jin violently slammed the telephone receiver in his hand onto the floor! The expensive custom receiver instantly shattered into pieces! He was like a ferocious beast, completely enraged and out of control, his eyes visibly consumed by crimson bloodshot veins, becoming as hot and terrifying as hellish magma! His chest heaved violently, letting out heavy, bellows-like gasps.

”Ran?! She dared to run?!”

The furious emotion erupted like an out-of-control volcano, spewing world-destroying lava.

He violently overturned the heavy mahogany desk! Documents, expensive antique ornaments, a crystal ashtray... crashed to the floor with a clatter, the sounds of shattering and impact deafening!

Then a chair was savagely kicked, hitting the wall with a dull thud! Bookshelves were violently pushed over, heavy books cascading down like an avalanche! A priceless blue and white porcelain vase was snatched up and hurled against the wall!

”Bang! Crash--”

The entire study was transformed into a storm-ravaged ruin within a mere ten seconds! Shards flew, wood chips scattered, expensive items turned to dust! The air was filled with a choking mixture of paper, wood, dust, and violent energy.

Li Jin stood in the center of the wreckage, his chest heaving violently, exuding an suffocating aura of menace.

His eyes were bloodshot, like a demon ready to devour people, and he let out a tearing growl at the servants and bodyguards who had rushed to the door at the sound, their faces pale with fear and trembling like sieves:

”Search!!”

”Find her for me!!!”

”Dig three feet deep, but bring her back to me!!”

He was like a dying beast caught in a trap, his voice hoarse and distorted by extreme rage:

”Break her legs! And drag her back to me!! Do you hear me?!”

The servants were silent as cicadas in winter, not daring to breathe, their faces pale, wishing they could shrink into the ground.

The bodyguards, even more so, as if they had received a death warrant, scrambled out, mobilizing all forces to conduct a carpet search.

The entire Li Residence was instantly enveloped in a terrifying atmosphere, as if the end of the world had arrived.

Just at the peak of this fury, just as the study doorway was in deathly silence, with only Li Jin’s heavy breathing audible—

At the end of the corridor, a slender figure happened to pass by.

Wen Ci had been startled by the earth-shattering noise from the study.

She had only gone to the kitchen for water, and now stood quietly at the corner of the corridor, holding a glass of water.

Her puzzled gaze swept over the wreckage at the study door and the silent, trembling crowd, finally settling on the figure inside the study, who resembled an Asura from hell.

Just then, a sharp shard of blue and white porcelain, launched by Li Jin smashing the desk, flew out with a ”whoosh,” grazing the door frame, and landed precisely less than ten centimeters from Wen Ci’s feet, emitting a crisp cracking sound.

The sound was not loud, almost negligible amidst the lingering echoes of destruction from the study.

However, for Li Jin, it was as if a basin of ice water had been suddenly thrown over a boiling flame.

All his roars and movements, at the moment he heard that subtle cracking sound, abruptly ceased!

Time seemed to have been paused.

Li Jin, as if struck by an invisible lightning bolt, sharply turned his head, his blood-red eyes, burning with destructive fire, accurately captured the quiet figure at the corner of the corridor—Wen Ci.

Their eyes met.

The rage, madness, and destructive desire in Li Jin’s eyes, as if encountering an absolute zero current, instantly froze and shattered!

In its place was a rare, almost panicked helplessness! A feeling of overwhelming dread swept over him even faster!

”Oh no!”

A sharp thought, like a poisonous thorn, pierced his brain:

”She saw it! She saw everything! Saw me like this... this out-of-control, violent, insane self!”

”She must think I’m a monster! A lunatic! An irredeemable devil!”

”She’s going to run! She’ll definitely run away like Su Wanqing, no matter what!”

The fear brought by this realization even instantly overpowered his towering rage over Su Wanqing’s escape!

He could almost hear his own heart’s wail, on the verge of shattering from panic.

The air was dead silent.

Everyone held their breath, looking with uncertainty at Mr. Li’s strangely abrupt halt and dramatically changing expression.

Li Jin’s body was stiff as a stone.

He subconsciously, and very clumsily, tried to rein in the chilling aura of menace surrounding him, a hint of embarrassed struggle flashing in his blood-red eyes.

He even... subconsciously took a small step back, as if to distance himself from the center of the mess he had created, from his enraged, out-of-control self.

His gaze was fixed on Wen Ci’s face, his voice, strained and hoarse from forcibly suppressing his violent aura and immense inner panic, even carried a hint of imperceptible pleading, which he himself hadn’t noticed:

”...You,” His Adam’s apple bobbed with difficulty, as if swallowing something bitter, ”Are you alright?”

He didn’t even dare to use the word ”scram,” which he usually used to command servants with absolute authority, but cautiously chose a different word:

”It’s... dangerous here.” He explained dryly, his gaze sweeping over the shards at her feet, then quickly returning to her face, with a neurotic tension, ”You... go back to your room first.”

The words ”go back to your room” were uttered with extreme stiffness, as if he used all his strength to suppress the instinct to command.

Wen Ci met Li Jin’s eyes, which were now filled with tension, panic, self-loathing, yet still desperately suppressing violence.

She gently shook her head, her voice clear and gentle, like a spring flowing through a scorching volcano:

”I’m fine, Mr. Li.”

Li Jin’s nerves, stretched to their limit, inexplicably and very slightly relaxed for a moment because of these calm words.

The overwhelming panic seemed to be temporarily subdued a little.

However, Wen Ci’s next words were like a soft, poisoned blade, precisely piercing his deepest ailment:

”Please... be careful.”

Be careful?

Be... careful?!

Li Jin’s pupils suddenly contracted! A more turbulent, darker wave of self-loathing instantly engulfed him!

Be careful? Be careful of what? Was she afraid he’d get hurt by the shards? Or... was she reminding him how ”dangerous” and ”unsafe” his out-of-control state had just been?

Her calmness, in Li Jin’s eyes at this moment, became the sharpest irony! Reminding him of the ugly, out-of-control side he had just exposed in front of her!

He had lost control in front of her again!

He was like a madman again!

She must despise him in her heart, fear him, and be plotting how to escape!

This thought, like a poisonous vine, frantically coiled and tightened around his heart, bringing suffocating pain. The panic that had just eased slightly due to Wen Ci’s calmness was instantly replaced by a hundredfold self-loathing and deeper fear!

However, Wen Ci seemed to notice his abnormality at this moment, so she walked step by step towards him and embraced him without hesitation.

”Mr. Li, getting angry is bad for your health. Don’t let it harm your body.”

Li Jin’s pupils constricted violently, almost unable to believe what he was feeling.

She... voluntarily hugged him?

She was concerned about him, not afraid of him.

The butler and the other housekeepers almost held their breath at this sight, not daring to make a sound.

They hadn’t expected the newcomer to be so bold.

Even more terrifying was that Mr. Li hadn’t pushed her away, even though he always hated being touched by others.

Everyone was shocked.

Li Jin also stood stunned for a long time before finally slowly extending his arms and then fiercely pulling Wen Ci into his embrace.

Her soft body, warm temperature, faint fragrance—everything about her was so captivating to him.

It made him unable to stop.

He couldn’t lose her.

Absolutely not.
