Wild Crazy Male Lead's Forced Love, You Don't Want, I Want!

54: Notes from a Paranoid Educated Youth 23On the nightstand, a stack of brand new marriage registration applications lay quietly. The groom’s signature was already written in a flamboyant hand, but the bride’s signature line...

Zhou Linchuan caressed Wen Ci’s numb fingertips, dipping them in ink and pressing them onto the paper.

”My good Ci Ci,” he kissed her fingertips devoutly, his gaze infatuated. ”We have a lifetime to slowly make up for the process.”

That night, Wen Ci slept very sweetly.

The scent of the man she had longed for day and night beside her made her feel so relaxed and joyful.

But in the early hours of the morning, she was woken by Zhou Linchuan.

His arm was wrapped around her waist like an iron band, his entire back arched, muscles taut, fitting her body perfectly into his embrace.

Wen Ci tried to move and immediately heard a whimper like a wounded beast escape his throat.

”Zhou Linchuan?” she called softly, her fingers caressing his tense cheek, feeling a cold dampness.

He trembled violently in his sleep, the scar between his brows furrowed into a deep chasm. Wen Ci suddenly understood, he was having a nightmare.

”Ci Ci...” his hoarse mumble in his sleep held a heartbreaking plea, ”Don’t go...”

Wen Ci’s heart suddenly tightened.

”I’m here,” she turned and cupped his face, her nose brushing against his trembling eyelashes. ”Zhou Linchuan, look at me.”

He suddenly opened his eyes, fragments of the nightmare still lingering in his bloodshot gaze. When he saw the person in his arms, his pupils contracted violently, and he suddenly kissed her fiercely.

The kiss carried a metallic taste and an uncontrolled tremor. Wen Ci tasted the salty tears on his lips.

”Why don’t you want me?” Zhou Linchuan suddenly buried his face in her neck, his voice muffled and trembling. Hot liquid streamed down her collarbone. ”What did I do wrong? Why don’t you like me anymore?”

This appearance was completely unlike the man who had just forcefully taken her.

Wen Ci’s breath hitched. She hadn’t expected that the man who had just been so fierce, so strong and domineering, was now exposing his vulnerability to her in the most fragile way. Her fingertips ran through his sweat-damp black hair, and she whispered, ”You idiot.”

Zhou Linchuan’s body stiffened. He lifted his red, broken eyes. In the faint light, his sharp features were incredibly soft, even showing a hint of bewilderment and confusion.

Wen Ci suddenly smiled, leaning in to lick away the tears from the corner of his eye. ”It’s always been you I’ve liked, Zhou Linchuan.”

The air froze for a moment.

Zhou Linchuan’s expression was as if he had been shot in the chest. He suddenly propped himself up, his shadow completely enveloping her. ”What did you say?”

”From the first time we met,” Wen Ci’s fingertips traced the outline of his brow bone, ”wasn’t I the one who took the initiative?”

Zhou Linchuan’s breathing became heavy, a storm gathering in his eyes, but he still couldn’t believe it. ”...But you left that letter saying you were lying to me.” His voice trembled, ”I brought that letter with me too, I definitely wouldn’t remember it wrong.”

Although that letter had saddened him, he still wanted to bring everything about her.

As he finished speaking, he was about to turn over and get out of bed to look for it, but Wen Ci hugged his lean waist and murmured, ”I also wanted to know if you really liked me. When I asked you then, you wouldn’t say, so I thought of this method to tease you.”

Zhou Linchuan froze, his Adam’s apple bobbing violently.

The room fell into a moment of eerie silence, only the man’s increasingly heavy breathing could be heard.

Wen Ci was suddenly pressed down onto the bed. Zhou Linchuan propped himself above her, his gaze dangerously chilling. ”Ci Ci...” His voice was hoarse beyond recognition. ”You’re playing with fire.”

”Yes, I am playing with fire,” she deliberately bent her knee to tease him.

”Ci Ci, I like you so much, I love you so much, I can’t live without you.” Zhou Linchuan buried his head in her chest. ”I really, really miss you.”

He hadn’t been sure if he truly liked Wen Ci, but after she left, he really went crazy.

It turned out he had already fallen in love with her.

Completely.

”I love you too.”

Their bodies were pressed close together, expressing their fervent love for each other, both body and mind filled with immense happiness.

Zhou Linchuan suddenly got up, pulled open the drawer, and took out a pair of couple rings. ”Ci Ci, these are the couple rings I prepared. Will you wear them with me?”

Wen Ci smiled and nodded, ”Okay.”

He then carefully took out a ring and slipped it onto her finger, then offered her his own.

”Put mine on too.” This was almost a plea.

Wen Ci deliberately slowly pushed the silver band, feeling his increasingly hurried breathing. When the ring finally slid all the way down, Zhou Linchuan suddenly pressed her hands above her head, his nose touching hers.

”Now you can’t run away.”

”Who’s running away?” Wen Ci rubbed her nose against his. ”I’ve coveted the position of Mrs. Zhou for a long time.”

Zhou Linchuan’s eyes darkened suddenly. He lowered his head and kissed her triumphant smile. The kiss was incredibly gentle, like a traveler who had trekked a thousand miles finally finding an oasis.

When he pulled back, Wen Ci was surprised to find that the corner of this strong man’s eye was red again.

”Don’t cry,” she chuckled, wiping the corner of his eye. ”Xiao Chuan Chuan, you’re being so unfair.”

Zhou Linchuan grabbed her mischievous hand and pressed it to his chest, where it was beating fast and hard. He looked down at her, his voice so soft as if he feared shattering a dream. ”Say it again, okay?”

”I like you,” Wen Ci leaned close to his ear. ”I love you, from the past to the present, and to—”

Her words were cut off by his kiss.

Zhou Linchuan’s kiss carried the preciousness of something lost and found, but his fingertips once again slid downwards shamelessly.

Wen Ci gasped, grabbing his wrist. ”It’s almost dawn, Xiao Chuan Chuan, you just got back, you must have a meeting. Can we not mess around anymore...?”
