Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

”What are you asking for? I need to go back and study them some more.”

Max naturally wasn’t happy that I called him away from his new research topic, but this wasn’t something that I could discuss with him in front of everyone.

At the same time, I couldn’t help feeling a bit annoyed and amused that he had forgotten what we had talked about before he came. It was something that he was so excited about that he had announced it in front of everyone.

But now that he found something new, it was as if he completely lost interest.

Still, I didn’t tell him right away since I didn’t know what he would do.

The last time, he had blurted it out in front of everyone...

So this time, it wasn’t as if I was going to give him the chance.

Once we reached a hidden spot, that was when I finally said, ”There’s something that I want to show you.”

It was clear by the look on Max’s face that he wasn’t that impressed. In fact, it even looked like he was feeling impatient as if I was delaying him from something important.

There was an urge that came from inside of me that made me want to punch him in the face, but I held myself back in the end since I still needed his abilities.

So instead of punching him, I took out the stone shard with the immortal energy inside of it.

Seeing what I took out, it seemed like Max became even more impatient. It really looked like Max didn’t want to waste any time looking at this stone shard and wanted to get back to his research.

Only when he came closer to the stone shard, his expression changed.

With everything that Max had experienced over the years, it could be said that his senses had developed quite well. He was able to tell if there was something off about what he was seeing right away now.

With just a single glance, he could tell that the energy coming from this stone shard wasn’t normal.

In fact, it felt like it wasn’t anything that he had seen before.

Even if it didn’t have anything to do with his main field of research, he knew that I had to have a reason for bringing this out to show him. At the same time, he could tell that there was something familiar about this thing.

It felt like the spiritual energy that he had been working with recently.

”What is this?” Max asked with eyes that almost seemed like they were going to pop out.

Seeing him look at me like this took me aback and I couldn’t help taking a step back.

But in the end, I calmed myself down and said, ”This is the thing that I told you about before. It’s that special kind of energy that I found that’s similar to divine energy, but it comes from spiritual energy.”

As I reached the end of my words, it was almost as if he lost interest in the rest of what I was going to say.

The only thing that Max seemed to care about was the stone shard.

I didn’t stop him as he took it out of my hand and then he started up all the machines that were in this lab. The place that I had brought us was naturally his lab since he would need these things to analyze this stone shard.

Only from the expression on Max’s face, it didn’t seem like he was having much luck as he tried to analyze the stone shard. It even seemed like the more that he tried to analyze it, the less that he was actually getting from the stone shard.

But it didn’t seem like he was going to give up.

There was this amused look that appeared in Max’s eyes, almost as if he was having fun even though he wasn’t getting any results.

I just shook my head with a faint smile as I moved to the side to wait for his results.

After watching him work on this for a while, it really seemed like he wasn’t getting anything at all.

”Are you really not getting anything from it?”

I asked this, but it didn’t seem like he was listening.

So in the end, I had to wait for him.

But at the same time, I already knew the answer to this question.

Even when the sun set, it didn’t seem like Max had come to a conclusion yet.

At first it was as if he was having fun studying the stone shard, but it seemed like he was getting frustrated since he wasn’t able to find anything. This was completely different just being hard, it was as if the stone shard didn’t want to cooperate with him.

In the end, he finally said, ”I need more samples.”

The way that he suddenly turned to me and said this caught me off guard, but I could guess what he wanted to do.

”For now, don’t do anything that might break it.”

Max didn’t seem happy to hear this, but he didn’t argue with me.

After all, this was the only sample that we had right now and it would have been bad if it was destroyed like this. Not to mention that there was no idea what would happen if we were to destroy the stone shard like this.

It was best not to take risks like this until we knew more about this stone shard.

Only the look on his face made it clear that he wanted to find the secrets of this thing as soon as possible.

He wasn’t the only one that wanted to figure out the secret of this thing as soon as possible, I also wanted to know more about this immortal energy.

But there was nothing that we could do since nothing that we were doing was working right now.

”I guess I’ll have to make another trip back to the cultivation world.”
