Shota's Isekai NTR Adventure

A bitter smile appeared on my face the moment that I heard this.

I really wanted to correct them on this, but there was hesitation that filled me as well.

After all, it was hard to explain it if I were to try and correct them. It wasn’t as if there was anything that I could use to actually correct them with.

If I gave all the credit to the gods…

Well, there was a part of me that could tell that they would just accept it on the surface and it wouldn’t change what they actually thought. So even if I did try to explain it, I wouldn’t actually be able to change their minds.

”This is the problem with these fanatical worshippers of gods…” I couldn’t help secretly complaining about them.

But instead of wasting time complaining about this, there was something else that I wanted to do.

Since the gods wouldn’t come and help me, I decided that I would go to them. Since they ignored me, I would go to the place that would make it almost impossible for them to ignore me.

That was why I cut into their celebration and said, ”We’re heading back now. We have to put this Relic of Destruction in a safe place as soon as possible or else something like this might happen again.”

The holy knights and priests looked doubtful about this, but they still listened to me.

I waved my hand at the leader of the holy knights to come over before handing over the Relic of Destruction to him.

When I did this, the look on his face made it clear that he didn’t want to actually take this thing from me. It was clear that he thought that I should be the one that held this Relic of Destruction.

Only I didn’t care if he looked at me with puppy dog eyes, I still wouldn’t want to keep this hot potato in my hands.

The problem was what happened the moment that I actually tried to hand this Relic of Destruction over. The moment that this Relic of Destruction left my hand, there was a disturbance coming from the strange creatures.

It seemed that they were becoming stronger and more aggressive.

But that wasn’t the only thing that happened.

The moment that this Relic of Destruction left my hand, I could tell that the seal on it was weakening since I could sense the resistance coming from it once more.

After a moment of hesitation, I reached out and grabbed the Relic of Destruction once more.

As soon as my hand made contact with the Relic of Destruction, it seemed to strengthen the seal that was on the Relic of Destruction.

There was no need to even look in the direction of the strange creatures, just the sounds were enough to tell that they were losing their power away.

A bitter smile appeared on my face when I realized this, so I held onto the Relic of Destruction this time.

Though the way that the holy knights and priests looked at me really was a problem.

These fanatical worshippers were now looking at me as if I was something to be worshipped…

This was a very bad thing.

It was just that I didn’t have the time to stop them right now.

I had to go back to the Holy Empire to drop off this Relic of Destruction as soon as possible. After all, carrying around a Relic of Destruction with me was the last thing that I wanted to do.

So that was why I rushed to leave these ruins.

Though the reason that I gave them was that we should leave because this place was dangerous.

This was a valid reason since we were still surrounded by the corruption energy that was left behind in this place. That corruption energy was just a snake without its head once the Relic of Destruction was sealed, so the others could take care of it over time.

There was no need for me to personally take care of it.

Only when we came out, I found that there were quite a few people that had gathered.

These weren’t just the people from the Holy Empire, there were people from all other places.

These were the people that had come as reinforcements since the information about the corruption energy had been spread all over.

With how much the corruption energy had spread, it was impossible for people to have not seen it. At the same time, with the treaty that was in place, everyone was united against the corruption energy.

Whether it was for the good of all or rather for their own good.

As such, many nations sent people to come and check on the situation here.

That included the other three empires.

The one that came up first was a general from the Democratic Union.

The moment that he came forward, he looked at me and said, ”It seems that you’ve taken care of the Relic of Destruction. But didn’t we agree that we would handle this matter together?”

It was clear what he was implying with the blaming tone in his voice.

At the same time, there was the fact that he said this in front of everyone.

But I looked back at him with a calm look on my face as I said, ”There’s nothing we could do when there’s an outbreak like this. However, we were able to contain it and resolve the matter, so it’s settled now.”

The general slightly knitted his brows upon hearing this before saying, ”What about the Relic of Destruction then?”

The moment that he said this, all of the others looked at me with rapt attention.

This was the thing that they cared about quite a bit.

After all, this Relic of Destruction was the main reason the corruption energy had leaked out into this place to begin with.

I looked right at him before calmly saying, ”You’re a bit too late. It has already been passed to the gods. We no longer have it.”
