A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1566: Chapter 1556: Fairness

The air was relatively quiet, so the sound of her stomach growling was quite noticeable.

Mu Yan suddenly opened her eyes, looking very annoyed, covering her stomach and whispering, ”I seem to be hungry.”

The kiss was suddenly interrupted, and her expression was somewhat embarrassed, not even daring to look Jiang Jingheng in the eyes.

Her shyness was evident to Jiang Jingheng, and his Adam’s apple rolled as the desire to kiss her increased, but he quickly restrained himself.

He put on a mask and said, ”Let’s find a place to eat.”

”Okay.” Mu Yan responded. Just as she was about to hold his hand, he already had her hand wrapped in his palm.

She turned her head to look at his face, but because he wore a mask, she couldn’t see his expression clearly.

However, out of the corner of her eye, she noticed quite a few people staring at them, especially when they saw them holding hands—those people even applauded, which made her quite embarrassed. She directly pulled Jiang Jingheng’s hand and dashed out of the crowd.

Watching their backs, someone finally asked, ”Why does that girl look so much like Mu Yan?”

”Impossible, why would Mu Yan come to this place, and who is the man holding her hand? Are you saying it’s Jiang Jingheng? Then their press conference yesterday was too much of a slap in the face.”

”Don’t say that, I do feel like that guy looks like Jiang Jingheng.”

”...”

When they reached a place with no people around, Mu Yan asked, ”Why are you wearing a mask?”

”I have a bit of a cold,” Jiang Jingheng said.

”Did you take any medicine? Should we go buy some medicine first?” Mu Yan immediately suggested.

”I’m almost better, just being cautious.” Jiang Jingheng said calmly, his gaze sweeping across her abdomen but moving away immediately.

Mu Yan, not reassured, reached out to touch his forehead; there was no fever.

She looked at him and asked, ”Did you suffer a lot while staying outside, and also, is your injury healed?”

”What injury?” Jiang Jingheng looked at her, puzzled.

Mu Yan stared at him for a few seconds and directly reached out to lift his shirt.

But Jiang Jingheng held her hand down, chuckling lightly, ”What is Mrs. Jiang doing? Trying to tease her husband in broad daylight?”

Mu Yan glared at him; when was this time and he was still playing word games.

She suddenly let go of his shirt and said, ”Maybe I misunderstood. Some time ago in Beijing, I encountered danger. Someone got injured in the abdomen to save me. I thought that person was you, was it?”

”No, I wasn’t in Beijing.” Jiang Jingheng said with a straight face.

Mu Yan looked surprised, ”Really? Then I was in big trouble. I thought he was you, so I let him hold my waist for a long time, not to mention I even kissed him. But it was dark at the time, mistaking people is normal, Mr. Jiang wouldn’t mind, right?”

After she said this, she provocatively glanced at Jiang Jingheng.

Jiang Jingheng looked at her, helplessly saying, ”Didn’t you say you were hungry? Let’s eat first.”

Seeing that he still didn’t speak the truth, wanting to suffer silently, Mu Yan got angry, ”I won’t eat, you eat by yourself if you want.”

After saying this, she just took a step forward but was pulled back into his arms.

Jiang Jingheng looked at the little face full of anger in his arms, helplessly said, ”I admit, that person was me. Don’t be mad, be good.”

Mu Yan wasn’t really angry at him. Her hand landed on his abdomen, and she softly said, ”In the future, don’t hide anything from me. I am your wife, not a flower you keep in a greenhouse. We should be fair, you say you love me, you should also give me the chance to love you.”
