A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 1556: Chapter 1546: Script

Lin Jiamu’s one glance made Mu Yan instantly the focus of the whole venue.

Sure enough, this songwriter is related to Mu Yan.

This person is a good friend of Lin Jiamu and has a close relationship with Mu Yan, even causing Mu Yan to set aside past grievances with Lin Jiamu for him. Furthermore, since this person couldn’t be present, many people vaguely guessed his identity.

Mu Yan brought the microphone closer and looked at everyone below as she said, ”I think everyone has already guessed who this songwriter is. Actually, a few days ago, when Lin Jiamu told me that he helped my younger brother release an album, I was very surprised. In the past five years, my brother had never revealed to me his desire to make music, and I didn’t even know how he completed this album.

In recent years, his condition has worsened. Due to some family changes at the time, there was a period when I couldn’t afford his medical expenses. He was afraid of being a burden on me and told me many times that he wanted to give up treatment. Each time, I would criticize him and tell him to abandon such thoughts.

But now it seems that the one who should be criticized is me. I simply hoped that he would live, but I forgot about the value of his life in this world, his talent, his abilities, and even his dreams.

I deeply regret not being there for him when he needed me, but I am also proud of him for not yielding to fate.

A person will experience many storms in their lifetime. The more one experiences, the more they tend to forget their original intention. Yet, the purest time in one’s life is when they wholeheartedly protect their dreams, regardless of success or failure.”

After she finished speaking, she lowered her head to conceal her emotions.

The reporters below remained silent, mourning in their hearts for a genius creator who passed away too soon.

Lin Jiamu picked up the topic and said, ”Here, I want to announce something: all the proceeds from the new album will go to Mr. Mu Chen, and Mr. Mu Chen’s sister, Miss Mu Yan, has decided to use all the proceeds for treating children with congenital heart disease.”

Mu Yan took a deep breath, calmed her emotions, and looked at the people below as she said, ”Yes, I will establish the ’Mu Chen Dream Foundation.’ This money will also go to the foundation, which will be dedicated to helping those heart disease patients who need assistance.”

”Click, click, click,” the sound of photographs being taken continuously from below.

A reporter asked, ”Mu Yan, even though you don’t often appear in public places, your private life has always been a focus of public concern. May I ask if your political marriage with Mr. Jiang Jingheng, the president of Shengyuan Group, has really reached an irreparable stage?”

Mu Yan looked at her without speaking, her expression somewhat serious.

Lin Jiamu glanced at her and then looked at the reporters below, saying, ”Today is the press conference for mine and Mu Chen’s new album. Mu Yan will not answer any personal questions.”

The reporters, having a rare opportunity to interview Mu Yan directly, didn’t want to miss this chance.

”Mu Yan, may I ask what is your relationship with the handsome blonde gentleman beside you? You have been photographed together several times, and your actions seemed very intimate.”

Lin Jiamu frowned and said, ”Please ask questions related to the new album.”

”It’s okay,” Mu Yan suddenly said. ”I originally planned to explain this matter today, so the media won’t have to keep guessing.”

Seeing her willingness to talk, the reporters were delighted, thinking they might uncover some big news today.

If it weren’t for knowing that Mu Yan was coming, these people wouldn’t have come specifically.

Mu Yan looked at everyone and said, ”Just because my husband and I are of equal status, you can’t arbitrarily conclude that we are in a political marriage. When I first met my husband, he was a high and mighty CEO, and I was just a recently unemployed stunt double, essentially living a ’Cinderella marries into a wealthy family’ storyline.”
