A-List Actress: Paper Marriage but Pampering Billionaire

Chapter 148: Chapter 148: Are You Out of Your Mind?

Mu Yan sensed something was wrong and pushed Luo Yao, ”Get out of the way!”

Luo Yao was stunned for a moment, instinctively dodging to the side.

She turned her head and saw a shadow rushing out from the dark, holding something, charging toward Mu Yan.

She exclaimed, ”Mu Yan, watch out!”

Mu Yan, with sharp eyes, saw it was a glass bottle and instinctively felt there was nothing good inside.

Her body retreated while she cautiously watched the person.

A man in his thirties, scraggly beard, very unkempt, eyes filled with hatred.

”Wretched woman, die!” The man held the bottle with both hands, smashing it forward, liquid splashed out.

Mu Yan reacted swiftly, dodging to the side.

A sound of ”splash” as the liquid hit the ground.

Mu Yan slightly relaxed, suddenly she felt a burning sensation on her leg.

She looked down to see a black spot on her light blue jeans, probably splashed by the liquid.

With such strong corrosiveness and the surrounding pungent smell, it was probably something like acid.

Fortunately, she dodged quickly, if that stuff had hit her face...

”Wretched woman, where can you hide!” The sinister male voice sounded again.

Mu Yan looked up and saw the man grabbing the glass bottle, aiming the mouth at her again.

By the light of the parking lot, she could vaguely see the liquid swaying inside.

”Someone come, help!” Luo Yao shouted in panic towards the surroundings.

Mu Yan was terrified, too close, nowhere to retreat.

She felt as if her limbs were numb, even unable to dodge.

As the liquid was about to splash on her, suddenly, a figure rushed over, embracing her to shield her in their arms.

The situation happened too suddenly, Mu Yan was somewhat unresponsive, remaining in a daze.

Beside her ear, a familiar gentle voice said, ”Don’t be afraid, I’m here.”

Nearby, Song Cheng’an approached, shouting loudly, ”Who are you?”

The man saw the situation was unfavorable, dropped the glass bottle, and fled.

Luo Yao saw this and directly rushed up, grabbing the man’s arm.

”You can’t leave.”

The man viciously kicked at Luo Yao.

Luo Yao’s leg was hit, her body staggered, falling to the ground.

The man ran towards the exit, then two security guards rushed over.

”Who is he?”

”Quick, he’s a bad guy, catch him!” Luo Yao shouted.

Hearing this, the two security guards immediately charged.

Usually, security guards in such places are quite skilled; in a few moves, they subdued the man.

Song Cheng’an ran to Mu Yan’s side, anxiously asking, ”How are you, are you guys okay?”

Jiang Jingheng released Mu Yan, looking at her slightly pale face, said in a deep voice, ”Are you hurt anywhere?”

As he spoke, he was about to check her body.

Mu Yan suddenly shook off his hand, glaring at him, ”Is your brain rusted?”

Jiang Jingheng was stunned, not expecting her to suddenly burst out in anger.

Mu Yan ignored him, reached to pull off his suit jacket, her expression unprecedentedly serious.

She sternly continued to scold, ”Do you know that is a highly corrosive acid-like liquid, it would ruin your face if it splashed on it. Even elementary school students know you must protect yourself first when saving others, are you worse than an elementary school student?”

Jiang Jingheng was so stunned by the yelling, since he was sensible, this was the first time being scolded like this, but he wasn’t angry at all.
