Apocalypse Rebirth: Making Billions With My Fortune-Telling Skill

Alexander dropped his face on his palm, his world spinning as the reality of her words broke through his remaining defenses.

He felt entirely exposed, stripped of his usual rowdy arrogance. He stared at the polished floor, his voice dropping into a raspy, vulnerable whisper. ”Can you save him? What is his fate?”

April watched him quietly, tilting her head. ”Do you truly want to know his fate right now, Alexander? Or are you afraid of what the answer might be?”

Alexander kept his head down, a bitter, painful smile touching his lips. ”Not knowing what will happen to him might take me by surprise... but if I do know, and it’s a future where I’m too late... it’ll only break me further.”

April nodded slowly, acknowledging his rare moment of emotional maturity. ”True. Foresight can be a heavy burden.” She leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with a sudden practical interest. ”But if you want to save him, I need to get a direct look at your grandfather. I am not a doctor, but my sight can identify the exact nature of the poison eating away at him so you can find the antidote. Of course, rescuing the old chairman is a completely separate service. So you should be thoroughly prepared to write me another hefty check when the time comes.”

Alexander let out a rough, defeated breath, nodding aggressively. ”Name your price. If you can prove the poisoning and wake him up, I’ll give you whatever the hell you want.”

That would put a lot on her plate, but it would also put a lot on her bank account so it was worth it.

”Excellent. Now, let’s look into your own future,” April purred, tapping her fingers against the armrest as she mentally triggered her system interface to pull up his reading from earlier.

[Would you like to read Alexander Greels’ Fortune?]

’Yes,’

[Target: Alexander Greels — Current Timeline]

Immediate Future (Within 24 Hours): Target’s immediate future is technically safe from physical ambushes since he avoided the garage. However, by this evening, his uncle will call him and propose a private dinner to reconcile, settle their differences, and push the Greels Commerce Group forward together. This dinner is a trap to administer the same rare, undetectable localized toxin to Alexander.

April read the texts on the system interface and wondered how family could be so cruel. Money and power was such a dangerous thing. But it made her want it even more.

”For today, your immediate future is technically safe from physical ambushes since you took a taxi and avoided the garage,” April revealed, looking as professional as she could be. ”However, the script changes by this evening. Soon, your uncle is going to call you so you can have dinner together tonight. He will act completely remorseful. He’ll tell you that the succession is moving too fast, that the family is fracturing, and that the two of you need to settle your differences. He’ll propose a complete do-over to reconcile and push the company forward together.”

Alexander’s blue eyes flared with disgust. ”That bastard. He expects me to just sit down and eat with him after trying to put me in a hospital bed?”

”Oh, it’s much worse than a simple trap,” April added. ”He doesn’t want to beat you with iron bars and clubs anymore. He wants to use that intimate, private dinner to implant the exact same rare, undetectable toxin into your food or drink. He wants you to suffer the same ’natural illness’ as your grandfather.”

Alexander’s knuckles turned entirely white as he clenched his fists. ”Then I’ll go, and I won’t touch a single thing on the table. I’ll expose him right there—”

”Don’t be reckless,” April cut him off sharply, her voice dropping into a commanding tone. ”The best course of action is not to go at all. Make up an excuse—say you’re reviewing corporate logistics, say you’re sick, say anything. Because it won’t end well for you if you show up, even if you refuse to eat or drink. He’ll likely have multiple contingencies in that room. Do not walk into his territory. Stay back, ignore the invitation, and focus on securing your board members for tomorrow morning.”

Alexander swallowed hard, his volatile temper thoroughly suppressed by her strategic breakdown. ”Alright. I’ll reject the meeting. I’ll stay locked in my office.”

”Good boy,” April smiled brilliantly, her aura instantly lightening.

With his immediate threat neutralized, she casually scrolled down his interface to look at the hidden truth segment that was right below his immediate future line.

Hidden Truth: Target is currently suffering from the early stages of psychological erectile dysfunction. The underlying stress and intense pressure of the succession crisis have locked his neural pathways, preventing him from blowing off steam. Condition is fully reversible if treated immediately with localized therapy.

April stared at the text floating in the air. Then, her eyes slowly drifted down to Alexander’s pristine white trousers, and then back up to his handsome, highly aggressive face.

A sudden, violent urge to laugh bubbled up in her chest. She tried to hold it back, pressing her hand against her mouth, but a loud, uncharacteristic snort slipped out, followed by a wave of uncontrollable giggles.

Alexander’s brow furrowed, his arrogant, hot-tempered edge flaring up instantly at her sudden amusement.

”What? What the hell is so funny?! Is there something else in my future?!”

”No—hahaha! No, it’s nothing like that!” April laughed, her shoulders shaking as she completely lost her elite, professional composure for the first time. She leaned back in the chair, her tears nearly welling up from sheer amusement.

What did this stupid medical condition have to do with his life-threatening corporate situation?! Absolutely nothing! But seeing this massively wealthy, incredibly handsome, six-foot-tall, rowdy billionaire heir suffering from early-stage erectile dysfunction because he was too cranky and stressed out was the absolute definition of cosmic comedy.

It felt like a beautifully fair judgment from the universe. One person can’t have it all, after all.

”Tell me!” Alexander demanded, stepping closer, his face turning an embarrassed shade of crimson as her laughter echoed through the soundproofed suite. ”Why the fuck are you laughing at me like that?!”
