Apocalypse Rebirth: Making Billions With My Fortune-Telling Skill

Samuel led April up the glass escalator to the third floor, which was entirely dedicated to high-end fashion house boutiques.

True to his word, Samuel spoke with the floor director, and within minutes, April was escorted into a spacious, private luxury fitting suite lined with plush velvet seating.

Sales associates wheeled in racks of premium silk pajama sets, tailored trousers, elegant blouses, and casual luxury wear.

April felt a wave of pure delight as she picked out what she liked. She didn’t even look at the sizes or worry about the fit; her body was naturally standard, and anything she tried on draped beautifully over her frame.

She picked several pairs of midnight-blue and emerald-green sleepwear, along with enough daily designer pieces to ensure she looked like an absolute elite powerhouse every single day she stayed at the Reed estate and moved around the city.

Then, she got purses that she could use to keep her money. That is, a purse for show because she kept her money in the spatial dimension. She just needed to put her hand in her purse and retrieve the money or her card from her dimension.

When it came time to pay, she casually handed over her encrypted gold black card. The transaction cleared instantly.

Samuel, ever the perfect professional, took the heavy shopping bags into his arms without a single word of complaint, even though they were a lot, and followed a step behind her as they walked out back into the grand hallway of the Galleria.

Just as they neared the glass overlook of the main atrium, a loud, crashing sound echoed from a nearby luxury watch boutique, followed by a stream of angry, rowdy shouting.

”What do you mean it’s not available?! I don’t care about your waiting list! Do you know who my grandfather is?!”

April stopped in her tracks, her interest piqued. A young man stepped out of the boutique, running a hand through his messy, styled blonde hair in sheer frustration.

He was incredibly handsome but radiated an absolute aura of a lousy, arrogant rich kid. He kicked a decorative column in the hallway, completely ignoring the terrified glances of the passing shoppers. He was clearly having a terrible day and didn’t care who knew it.

But one thing was for sure. He stood out in the crowd.

April tilted her head, watching the spectacle. ”Samuel,” she murmured, keeping her voice low. ”Who is that rowdy man acting like a spoiled kid?”

Samuel adjusted his glasses, his eyes tracking the frustrated young man. ”That is Alexander Greels, Miss April. He is the sole grandson and heir to the Greels Commerce Legend—the family that owns almost forty percent of the shipping docks and retail commercial plazas across the state. He is notoriously hot-tempered and arrogant.” Samuel lowered his voice a fraction. ”From what I gathered through the corporate grapevine this morning, his grandfather’s health has suddenly taken a turn for the worse, and the board members are already trying to freeze Alexander out of the succession. He’s likely under immense pressure.”

Alexander Greels.

The heir to a massive commerce and retail empire. April’s eyes gleamed with a sharp, calculating brightness. If Xavier Reed was the king of logistics, the Greels family was the god of retail distribution and commercial warehouses.

If she could get her hands on his resources, she could access hundreds of grocery networks and department stores before the world ended.

She immediately focused her gaze on the frustrated blonde heir.

System, she commanded in her mind. Insight.

’Yes.’

[Target: Alexander Greels — Current Timeline]

Immediate Future (Tonight): Target plans to storm into the private family hospital to confront his grandfather’s board of directors. However, he will be ambushed by his uncle’s hired thugs in the parking garage, resulting in severe physical injury and a forced hospitalization that will cause him to miss the emergency board vote tomorrow morning, losing his inheritance entirely.

Hidden Truth: The grandfather is not actually dying of natural causes; he is being slowly poisoned with a rare, undetectable localized toxin administered by his private physician, who was bribed by Alexander’s uncle.

April’s lips curved into a deep, predatory smirk. Oh, this was beautiful. This rowdy, arrogant heir was about to walk straight into a slaughterhouse, and he had absolutely no idea.

She turned to look at Samuel, who was patiently holding her heavy designer shopping bags, completely oblivious to the script of fate unfolding right in front of them.

”Well, Samuel,” April purred, smoothing down her black blazer dress as she locked her target. ”It looks like I’ve just found another paying customer.” He looked at her, confused. What did she mean by that? But she did not give him any explanation and said, ”Stay here.”

Without waiting for his response, April turned and walked directly toward the furious young man as she prepared to throw her next golden bait.

April slowed her pace, letting the sharp, calculating elite persona melt away into something a bit more casual as she approached him.

Alexander was pacing like a caged animal, furiously typing on his phone. A direct confrontation about his family’s corporate coup would make him defensive, suspicious, or downright hostile.

She needed a natural angle.

As she closed the distance, she deliberately fumbled with the sleek new Titanium Pro phone in her hand. Just as she walked past him, she let out a quiet, frustrated sigh, tapping the screen aggressively.

”Ugh, why is the signal in this place so terrible?” she muttered aloud, just loud enough for him to hear. Then, she stopped right next to him, glancing over with an expression of mild, polite annoyance. ”Excuse me. Are you getting any service on the upper levels? I’m trying to check an emergency notification, but my network keeps dropping.”

Alexander stopped pacing, his blue eyes snapping over to her. He was already wired, his chest heaving with anger, but seeing a stunning woman in a sharp designer dress looking genuinely lost caught him off guard.

He glanced at his own phone, which was flashing full bars.

”My signal is fine,” he snapped, his voice rough and laced with irritation, though he didn’t completely walk away. ”Must be your carrier.”

”Must be,” April said, tilting her head as she looked at him, her eyes locking onto his with a strange, knowing intensity.

The frustration rolling off him was palpable, but she kept her composure completely steady. ”Or maybe the universe is just trying to delay me. Though, looking at you... I think it’s trying to delay you.”
