Raising My Children With My Personal Spatial Ability

Chapter 2844: Chapter 2844: It’s Best Not to Mention It Again

“I already took a great risk getting that map, and you sure have guts, thinking he can bring us all into the tent?

Do you think the people at Camp Zhan Yun are blind? So many strangers being brought in without anyone noticing, or do you believe in your heart that they won’t discover we’re sneaking in?”

Aunt Qiu twitched her lips, finding Shadow Killer’s words quite unpleasant.

It was just a casual comment, not necessarily insisting on being taken inside; if that person refuses, they can find another way.

“Why are you so worked up? I was only suggesting; I never said you must contact that person.”

“Hmph.”

Shadow Killer sneered.

He wouldn’t believe that if he hadn’t cursed in anger, the old woman wouldn’t insist on her opinion.

She was just backing down now because she saw him furious.

A foolish old woman who thinks she has some skills. Ultimately, she only dares to propose ridiculous ideas because the master trusts her, thinking they’re good ones.

“Aunt Qiu should propose fewer self-damaging ideas like this.”

These words made Aunt Qiu take a deep breath to suppress her rage.

If he disagrees, just say so; why the sarcasm? Does he really think she’s easy to bully?

“Since we can’t involve that person, we’ll have to sneak in by night. These days are moonless, perfect for sneaking in under cover of darkness.”

She stated.

“Alright.”

Shadow Killer had no choice but to agree to this plan.

He was here with so few people and no other support, so they had to confront the situation head-on.

“I’ll prepare more poison; it’ll surely come in handy.” He said as he was about to leave but then remembered the damaged map lay on the ground. He returned to pick it up right in front of Aunt Qiu and tucked it away.

Who knows what might happen if she keeps it? Her cultivation level is weak; someone might try to snatch it, not to mention her own destructive tendencies. How could he rest easy with her?

“Shadow Killer!”

Aunt Qiu gritted her teeth as she watched Shadow Killer take away the map.

She wanted to memorize the route more thoroughly, but the scoundrel took the map away. That’s not the biggest issue; the worst part is the look he gave her as he left!

Does he really think she didn’t notice he’s looking down on her?

She hasn’t even called him stupid yet, and he’s already looking down on her. Hah, he really knows how to lift his nose, doesn’t he?

Oh well, since no one listens to her here, let it be. If the operation succeeds, fine; if it fails, it won’t be her fault anyway.

She didn’t even realize that she was once so confident in promising the master to complete the task, and now she’s thinking about how to avoid responsibility in case of failure.

…

That night, Huayan Peak was pitch dark, while Battle Cloud Camp had only faint fires burning, not very bright indeed.

At dawn, a group of people in black clothes sneaked in from outside the camp, heading straight for the tent where they studied the map thoroughly.

“Tsk.”

The guards of Camp Zhan Yun murmured softly while hiding in the dark.
