Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 1180: Chapter 1222: Changes

”I never knew that my dear wife was so considerate and sensible? Really grown up now!” Huo Junmo squinted with a smile, and couldn’t help but reach out to affectionately rub Ling Yueyue’s head.

Despite feeling sweet at Huo Junmo’s words, Ling Yueyue deliberately rolled her eyes on the surface. ”I’ve always been considerate and sensible, haven’t I? You’re making me out to be like a little girl. Don’t forget, I’m your wife, not your daughter!”

”Yes, yes, you are my dear wife, not my daughter! Let’s go! Let’s head inside! I don’t want my dear wife to be exhausted!” Saying this, he held Tiantian in one arm and took Ling Yueyue’s hand with the other.

With both hands occupied, Huo Jiantian naturally stood aside, feeling like an extra person.

Huo Jiantian stood there, watching the harmonious scene of the family of three, suddenly feeling like an outsider, as if he couldn’t fit into this family.

Thinking of this, Huo Jiantian couldn’t help but feel sadness welling up, his eyes unknowingly reddened, feeling extremely aggrieved, and also began to envy Tiantian, who was being cautiously held in Huo Junmo’s arms.

Ling Yueyue, following Huo Junmo, suddenly noticed Huo Jiantian hadn’t followed, hurriedly stopped, saw him standing at the doorway with red eyes staring at them, instantly realized something, quickly broke free from Huo Junmo’s hand, and strode over to Huo Jiantian, proactively took his hand and softly said, ”Jiantian, why are you standing here without moving? Dinner is almost ready; it’s time to go in and eat!”

Huo Jiantian’s pretty little mouth was tightly pursed into a line, first looked at Ling Yueyue, then looked at Tiantian, who was being held in Huo Junmo’s arms, finally fixed his gaze on Huo Junmo, said nothing, pulled his hand away from Ling Yueyue, and silently walked towards the house.

Seeing Huo Jiantian suddenly change his face as if he had turned into a different person, Huo Junmo frowned, his deep eyes flickered, his thin lips tightly pursed, said nothing, and just watched thoughtfully at Huo Jiantian’s disappearing figure into the house.

Ling Yueyue walked to Huo Junmo’s side, followed his gaze into the house, and asked with concern, ”We’ve been a bit neglectful of Jiantian these days, I wonder if it will leave a psychological shadow on him! It seems like I need to find some time to talk to him, lest he thinks we only like Tiantian and not him.”

These days, because of the issue with her biological mother, she had been somewhat distracted and had neglected Jiantian a lot! Jiantian is only six years old now, a time when his heart is most vulnerable. I wonder if he has any other thoughts!

Looking at his expression earlier, it seemed very aggrieved!

Seems like she really needs to find some time to talk with Jiantian! She must make Jiantian understand that, no matter the time, he is always the most beloved son of hers and Huo Junmo’s.

She can’t let Jiantian think that now they have Tiantian, they don’t want him anymore!

Huo Junmo rubbed Ling Yueyue’s hair and said softly, ”Don’t worry, I’ll talk to him.”

Ling Yueyue nodded, half-jokingly and half-seriously said, ”Let’s go inside first! There’s a lot to discuss; sometimes talking with him may work better than you doing it! I don’t want to really become an evil stepmother in his heart, who stole his dad.”

”You!” Upon hearing this, Huo Junmo couldn’t help but lightly scrape her petite nose. Then he took her hand and got ready to enter the house with her.

Worried that Huo Jiantian might be displeased seeing the family enter the house together, Ling Yueyue let go of Huo Junmo’s hand and hurried in first.

Looking at his empty hand, Huo Junmo shook his head with a smile, kissed Tiantian’s face, and then carried Tiantian into the house.

Ever since they came inside, Huo Jiantian had been sitting on the sofa, not in a very cheerful mood, silently ate a bowl of rice during dinner, and hurriedly put down his bowl and chopsticks, going upstairs with his backpack under the excuse of having to do homework.

Watching Huo Jiantian go upstairs, Ling Yueyue suddenly felt this little figure was very lonely, with his slightly bowed head and stooped posture making her nose involuntarily twinge.

It seems they’ve truly been neglecting Huo Jiantian too much recently, even failing to notice the changes in him over the past few days.

She dares say that Jiantian’s becoming like this isn’t something that happened just over one or two days; it’s certainly accumulated over these past few days.

All along, she feared most was hurting Jiantian, but she still involuntarily hurt him.

Thinking of this, Ling Yueyue also lost her appetite, put down her bowl and chopsticks, and followed Huo Jiantian upstairs.

Huo Junmo watched them leave one after another, said nothing, and continued to eat dinner slowly.

After going upstairs, Ling Yueyue first went to the study to find Huo Jiantian. She thought, since Huo Jiantian carried his backpack upstairs, he surely went to the study to do homework!

But when the study’s door was pushed open, she found it empty.

Finding no one in the study, Ling Yueyue went to Huo Jiantian’s room to look for him!

Standing outside Huo Jiantian’s room, Ling Yueyue politely knocked on the door, but there was no response.

Ling Yueyue knocked twice more, when Huo Jiantian’s muffled voice finally came from inside, ”Come in!”

Hearing Huo Jiantian’s voice, Ling Yueyue slightly sighed in relief, turned the doorknob and walked in!

When Ling Yueyue entered Huo Jiantian’s room, he was sitting alone on his small bed, his eyes gazing far ahead, lost in thought.

Ling Yueyue sat in front of him, reached out to take his hand, smiled softly, and said gently, ”Jiantian, didn’t you say you were going upstairs to do homework? Why are you in your room? Can’t you do it? Let me help you!”

Huo Jiantian glanced at her indifferently, gently withdrew his hand from hers, shook his head and said, ”No, I’ll handle my own things! I’ve grown up, I don’t need your care.”

Listening to his cold words, Ling Yueyue was more certain of her previous thoughts, a pang in her heart, ”You’re so young! You’re only six years old! How could you not need our care? Your papa and I have always cared about you, and Tiantian too! She wanted to follow you upstairs to play when she saw you going up just now!”

After hearing her words, Huo Jiantian didn’t respond, but just quietly gazed at Ling Yueyue, his blank eyes devoid of any radiance, completely missing his usual mischievousness and liveliness.

Seeing him like this, Ling Yueyue felt more hurt, reached out to gently rub his head, ”What’s wrong? You don’t believe what I said? What will it take for you to believe me?”
