Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 1154: Chapter 1196: Looking for Ling Yueyue

Ling’s mother snorted coldly, disdainfully saying, ”I really didn’t know, you actually care so much about your sister!”

”...!” Ling’s father didn’t answer, nor did he know how to respond, so he buried his head and said nothing, continuing to sort out the list!

”If only you had known this would happen, why pretend...!” Ling’s mother pursed her lips in disdain, too lazy to pay attention to Ling’s father. She sat on the bed, touching her growling stomach, her eyes darting around restlessly.

After a while, unable to endure the hunger anymore, she stood up angrily and said, ”I’m going out to eat. You can sort out the list yourself!” With that, she took some money in her pocket, grabbed her old-fashioned phone, and stormed out, slamming the door.

Hearing the door slam, confirming Ling’s mother had left, Ling’s father’s hands finally stopped.

Actually, he had no desire to give up the money he had secured! But things had come to this, and what else could he do but hand it over?

Back then, both he and his wife had secretly pocketed Shenglan’s money, never expecting Shenglan to return to the country! At that time, he truly believed that she had abandoned her daughter, Yueyue.

If he had known Shenglan would come back, he wouldn’t have done such a thing even if it meant dying.

Now, the sibling relationship has become awkward to this extent.

Sigh...!

Ling’s father sighed deeply, unwilling to bother with his growling stomach, bowed his head and continued organizing his thoughts, meticulously recording all the money Yueyue had given him into the notebook.

......

The next day, because Ling Shenglan had been away for five years, and during these five years, Yueyue sent them living expenses every month, adjusting the amount according to the economic levels each year and Ling Yueyue’s salary income, making the amount sent every month irregular. Organizing it was very troublesome.

By the second day, Ling’s father was still deeply immersed in sorting things out.

Meanwhile, while Ling’s father was organizing, Ling’s mother secretly grabbed the phone Ling’s father had placed on the desk, found a string of phone numbers inside, and secretly saved it onto her own phone.

After saving the phone number, Ling’s mother sneaked out of the room.

Ling’s father, absorbed in thought, didn’t notice Ling’s mother’s small movements and didn’t realize she had left, furiously calculating the bills.

After leaving the temporary room, Ling’s mother stood at the motel entrance, pulled out her phone, found Ling Yueyue’s phone number, and directly dialed it.

Ling Yueyue, who was playing with Tiantian at home, heard the phone ringing, glanced at it, and seeing it was Ling’s mother’s number, instinctively hung up.

But Ling’s mother was relentless. When Ling Yueyue hung up, she called again.

She kept calling, and Ling Yueyue kept hanging up!

After repeating this five times, Ling Yueyue finally got fed up with the racket. She handed Tiantian to the nanny beside her and, impatiently, answered the phone, saying sharply, ”Why are you calling me?”

Seeing Ling Yueyue finally answered, Ling’s mother curled her lips smugly and said with a laugh, ”Nothing much, I just have something I want to talk to you about in person, something I believe you’ll be very interested in knowing!”

Ling Yueyue was somewhat surprised and asked, ”In person? Are you in Jin City now?”

”Yes, I am in Jin City now, come out immediately, I have something to tell you!” When speaking to Ling Yueyue, Ling’s mother was not courteous at all, it was completely a commanding tone.

”No thanks, whatever it is, I don’t want to talk about it!” Ling Yueyue flatly refused without hesitation.

To her, when her mother sought her out, it was definitely about money, nothing else.

Ever since they sought Huo Junmo for that million, all family ties between them had vanished! She would not give them another penny, nor did she want to see them again.

As if guessing Ling Yueyue’s thoughts, Ling’s mother wasn’t angered but rather patiently said, ”Don’t worry, I’m not looking for you for money this time, there’s something I want to tell you, something I believe you’re very eager to know about!”

”No thanks, whatever it is, I don’t care to know, I’m not a curious person!” Saying that, she hung up the phone directly, and to avoid further disturbance from Ling’s mother, she simply turned off her phone.

Listening to the busy tone in the phone, Ling’s mother didn’t give up and made another call, but the other end indicated the phone was off.

Ling’s mother was unwilling and dissatisfied!

However, since Ling Yueyue wouldn’t answer the phone, nor listen to her speak, and she knew very few words, apart from the names of the family and a few simple words, she didn’t recognize any others. Even if she wanted to craft a message to reveal the truth to Ling Yueyue, she didn’t have the skill.

After pondering for a while, Ling’s mother directly hailed a taxi from the roadside and headed to the Huo Family Villa!

By the time she arrived at where Ling Yueyue resided, it was already over half an hour later!

Standing outside the iron gate, Ling’s mother forcefully pressed the doorbell! Shortly, a servant ran over, seen it’s Ling’s mother, his expression hardened immediately, and he spoke rudely, ”Why is it you? What are you doing here? Our sir and madam have instructed that you’re not allowed to enter, you’d better leave!”

Facing the servant’s rude demeanor, Ling’s mother glared her eyes, arrogantly saying, ”I want to see your madam, go tell your madam I’m here, say I have very important news for her, if she doesn’t listen, she’ll regret it for the rest of her life!”

”Madam has said, upon seeing you, we should throw you out immediately, no matter what you say, she doesn’t want to hear, much less see you!” Ling’s mother was arrogant, the servant was equally contemptuous.

Since last time, when the family of four made a scene, the house’s servants had the worst impression of them, after the sir and madam gave this order, they couldn’t be happier.

Especially after hearing about their deeds at the Young Miss’s full moon celebration, the servants were even more disgusted by them.

Seeing even a household servant dared to be so rude and look down on her, Ling’s mother, though angry, had to restrain herself, continuing to say, ”I told you to inform Ling Yueyue, so just tell her, just say I’m outside and waiting for her, anyway, I won’t enter, I just want to tell her something, as long as she comes out and I tell her, then I’ll leave! If she doesn’t come out, I’ll stand here waiting for your sir to come home!”

Threatened by Ling’s mother’s words, the servant, after hesitating for a while, had no choice but to nod in agreement, promptly turning around and jogging into the garden, finding Ling Yueyue who was playing with Tiantian, whispering, ”Madam, your mother-in-law is here, says she has something to tell you, I tried to drive her off, but she won’t leave, saying if she doesn’t see you, she’d wait until the sir returns!”

Upon hearing this, Ling Yueyue couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, chuckling wryly, ”She sure is persistent! She even came to my house!”

The servant added, ”She says once she tells you the matter, she’ll leave! Seems like she really has something important!”
