Cutesy Wife Sweet Like Honey: Mr. Mu's Nightly Dote!

Chapter 1142: Chapter 1184: Filed a Lawsuit

Ling Shenglan’s face turned grim, expressionless as she said, ”I have no way to prove we are siblings, but let me tell you, I’ve been paying for his room. If you don’t find his whereabouts, I will refuse to pay the room charges, and by then you’ll have to bear all the losses yourselves! Moreover, whether we know each other or are siblings, just pull up the video and you’ll know! Yesterday, at around two o’clock, we did indeed talk for a long time outside my guest room!”

Faced with Ling Shenglan’s statement, the hotel manager hesitated for a moment, thought it over carefully, and ultimately nodded in agreement, ”If that’s the case, please, Ms. Ling, come with me, we’ll pull up yesterday’s two o’clock video and take a look!”

”Sorry for the trouble!” Ling Shenglan nodded in thanks, then followed the hotel manager toward the video surveillance room!

Upon reaching the surveillance room, the hotel manager directly asked the security guard on duty to pull up the two o’clock video from yesterday afternoon!

The security guard nodded, skillfully found the corridor video outside Ling Shenglan’s guest room from two o’clock yesterday!

As soon as the video opened, Ling’s father could be seen pacing back and forth outside Ling Shenglan’s door, seeming like he wanted to knock but hesitated!

Shortly afterward, Ling Shenglan came down from the elevator, and the two stood outside the guest room door chatting for a long time. It’s unclear what they were talking about; anyway, Ling Shenglan’s face looked grim while Ling’s father kept his head down, seemingly meek and submissive.

After chatting for a while, Ling Shenglan slammed the door and entered the guest room! After Ling Shenglan went into the room, Ling’s father did not leave immediately but took out his phone and made a call!

Ling’s father talked with the person on the other end for a long time. Though it was unclear what he was saying, Ling Shenglan could tell from Ling’s father’s expression that he breathed a noticeable sigh of relief when hanging up, even showing a hint of glee.

After hanging up, Ling’s father returned to his room.

Watching until this point, Ling Shenglan didn’t rush to have the security guard turn off the video but continued patiently watching further!

Sure enough, before long, the door of Ling’s father’s guest room quietly opened, and Ling’s father sneakily pushed open the door, poked out his head to look around, saw no one in the corridor, then opened the room door, packed his luggage, and ran down the stairs!

Seeing Ling’s father had left, Ling Shenglan calmly said, ”Please pull up the lobby video for this time period and take a look!”

The security guard glanced at the hotel manager, saw him nod, and then pulled up the lobby video for that time period! Sure enough, within a few minutes, Ling’s father quickly ran out of the lobby with his luggage. The lobby surveillance video even showed Ling’s father directly intercepting a taxi on the road after leaving the hotel and driving away!

”Ha...!” Watching the video of Ling’s father’s escape, Ling Shenglan couldn’t help but let out a cold laugh.

There’s no need to guess; the call from her brother was certainly with his wife! It’s obvious the woman was behind the bad idea, so her brother dared to flee.

It seems that since they ran away, they expect her to not sue them, expecting her to swallow her anger!

Initially, she indeed was just trying to scare them, but after returning from Yueyue’s home today and hearing Tiantian’s words, she decided she absolutely wouldn’t let them off!

Do they think she won’t sue them? Won’t use legal means to retrieve everything? Then she will show them whether she will go through legal procedures!

For people as shameless as them, extremely selfish, only caring for themselves, always scheming against others, if they’re not taught a harsh lesson, they won’t remember anything!

No matter what, she will ensure all the money Yueyue deserves is retrieved. Money now is a minor issue; the main thing is not letting them take her for a fool. Otherwise, they’ll really think they’re geniuses!

Knowing Ling’s father’s whereabouts, Ling Shenglan smiled and thanked the hotel manager, ”Alright, thank you, I’ve got it!”

The hotel manager also cordially replied, ”No need to thank us, it’s what we should do!”

”Then I’ll head to my room!” Ling Shenglan nodded to the hotel manager and returned to the room ahead of time!

After staying in the room for a while, she stepped out again!

.........

Ling Yueyue was completely unaware of the undercurrents between Ling Shenglan and Ling’s father, wholeheartedly staying home to take care of her child!

Because Ling Shenglan stood up for her last time, Ling Yueyue had a slight change in perspective toward this aunt. Afraid her aunt might be bored in Jin City, she would invite Ling Shenglan over to her place for visits! Slowly, the emotions between the two began to change slightly!

Meanwhile, shortly afterward, far away in the countryside, Ling’s father and mother received a court summons!

Upon seeing the summons at that moment, Ling’s father was immediately flustered, panicking and not knowing what to do, ”Wife, look, Shenglan really sued us. I said I couldn’t come back; this time we’ve really gone too far, she’s truly had enough! What should we do? If we go to court, our actions are illegal, we could end up in prison!”

Seeing Ling’s father in a state of panic, Ling’s mother disdainfully rolled her eyes, mocking him, ”What are you panicking for? It’s just a summons, isn’t it? Just don’t go; surely they can’t drag us there!”

After hearing Ling’s mother’s words, Ling’s father was furious, ”Women’s perspective, women’s perspective, you’re just a woman who hasn’t seen the world! Although we live in the countryside, haven’t we seen enough examples on TV? This is a court summons, what do you think it is? I tell you, if we don’t show up at the appointed time, the court can hold us criminally accountable. Then they can directly arrest us and put us in jail! Simply ignorant with a narrow view of the world!”

Listening to Ling’s father, Ling’s mother vaguely sensed the severity of the situation, fearfully asking, ”Is it really that serious? Can they come all the way here to catch us?”

Ling’s father nodded vigorously, solemnly saying, ”Of course! We’ve broken the law; isn’t it serious? We’ve embezzled the support money Shenglan saved for Yueyue, asked her for living expenses in Yueyue’s parents’ names, even extorted a million from Huo Junmo in Yueyue’s parents’ names! The total may not be small; if seriously pursued, we won’t see the outside of prison for the rest of our lives!”

After hearing Ling’s father’s words, Ling’s mother finally realized the gravity of the situation, angrily slapped Ling’s father, ”It’s all your fault for being useless, unable to manage your sister! If you put in a bit of effort as an elder brother, how would Ling Shenglan dare to act this way! Ultimately, it’s your fault! I don’t care, as long as it’s your mess, you solve it!”
