The Comeback of the Cannon-Fodder Supporting Actress

Chapter 1158: Chapter 1132: After Being Possessed 42

At the beginning of this year, Anning felt that something was a bit off.

She and Xiao Yuan could sense that there was more spiritual energy in the air, but this spiritual energy was very agitated.

Because of the agitation of the spiritual energy, the climate in various places began to gradually become abnormal.

Spring had just started, Y County was usually just a little over ten degrees at this time, various trees were only beginning to sprout green buds, and the grass was just peeking out of the soil. However, this year, Y County was particularly warm during the main lunar month; around the tenth day, the temperature reached seventeen or eighteen degrees, and by the second lunar month, the temperature rose directly to over twenty degrees, almost thirty degrees.

Anning knew that big chaos was about to begin.

It was even earlier than she had anticipated.

At night, after a busy day, Anning discussed with Xiao Yuan before bed, ”Let Yan Rong and Yan Meng come back.”

Xiao Yuan responded, ”I’ll call them tomorrow.”

Anning thought for a moment and then said, ”In a while, I’ll also call my uncle and ask them to come for a vacation, timing it just right.”

Anning and Xiao Yuan didn’t have many relatives and friends in this life, most of whom were in Y County, except for the Qu family and Yan Rong sisters who were outside.

The two lay in bed quietly talking, Xiao Yuan asked Anning, ”Should we tell the people in the village to stop growing flowers and switch to growing grains?”

Anning shook her head, ”Growing flowers is too profitable; they won’t give it up. If you tell them to stop, they’ll eat you alive. Let them continue growing flowers, but quietly tell them to stock up on grains.”

Xiao Yuan agreed, ”When the great disaster comes, they won’t need anyone to tell them; they’ll start growing grains.”

”I’ll go find my sister one of these days and have her modify the house,”

Anning smiled, ”Our house was built with many considerations. The walls are thicker than others’, there’s an underground cellar in the side room, and a few rooms have heated beds. If it comes to a cold season, it will be warmer than others’. When my uncle’s house was built, I also took some measures for warmth. It’s just that my sister’s house needs some work, and we have time now to modify it.”

”Let your sister move over first; we’ll find a construction team to remodel it,”

suggested Xiao Yuan.

”I’ll give it a try,” Anning replied.

They talked intermittently and fell asleep without realizing it.

The next morning, Xiao Yuan called Yan Rong and Yan Meng.

These two girls are now both in the Capital.

Back then, both of them went to college in the Capital, and after graduation, they pursued further studies, and now both are working in the Capital.

Regarding these two sisters, Xiao Yuan has always been straightforward with them. He called and said directly, ”Big Yan, Second Yan, you two should find some time to come back.”

Yan Rong was startled, ”Second brother, is something wrong at home?”

Xiao Yuan chuckled, ”What are you thinking? What’s wrong at home? It’s just that our parents miss you. Your sister-in-law and I miss you too. Why on earth would you choose to go to the Capital? Isn’t it nice at home, growing flowers, drinking tea, breathing fresh air, eating organic vegetables, and fishing in the reservoir during leisure time? Isn’t it better than the city?”

”We just wanted to gain more experience outside,”

Yan Meng laughed, ”Alright, we’ll come back in a few days.”

Xiao Yuan pushed, ”Hurry up, make it quick, or I’ll come to the Capital and drag you two back.”

”Got it.”

Yan Meng stuck out her tongue, ”We’ll be back soon.”

When Xiao Yuan was on the phone, Anning went out for a walk.

She stood on a small hill not far from home, looking up at the sapphire sky, her right hand swiftly calculating with her fingers, her expression growing increasingly solemn.

After returning home, Anning called the Qu family.

She seriously told Qu Lan, ”Uncle, I hope you all move to Fengtai Village as soon as possible. Sell your properties in the Capital if you can, and once you move, store a lot of grain, stockpile some food and supplies...”

Qu Lan was startled, ”Ningning, what’s wrong?”

Anning lowered her voice, ”For the past couple of years, I’ve been studying geology and researching continental plate changes, and recently I’ve found that the major plates are particularly active. Uncle, do you know what this means?”

Qu Lan, though not specializing in geography, had some understanding of geology.

”You mean there’s going to be a big earthquake?”

Anning shook her head, ”It’s even more terrifying than that. I can’t say specifically, but I always have an ominous feeling. The plates near Fengtai Village are relatively stable, and uncle, you should understand, if there really is a major disaster, survival in the countryside is easier than in the city.”

Qu Lan understood what Anning meant.

Rural areas are vast and sparsely populated, with larger residential areas and each household having farmland. If there’s a grain shortage or something, one can grow their own food in the countryside, and a home’s yard can be used to grow vegetables, making living conditions easier compared to cramped city life.

”I’ll think about it.”

Qu Lan didn’t immediately agree but said he would consider it.

After hanging up the phone, Anning thought of asking Liu Feifei to call the Liu family, asking Mr. Liu and Mrs. Liu to come over, while contemplating matters, she headed to Xiao Chang’s place. When she arrived, Qin Chang and Liu Feifei were excitedly joyful. Upon seeing Anning, Liu Feifei smiled, ”You came at just the right time. We were just about to tell you some happy news, and here you are.”

”What is it?”

Anning smiled, ”Let me guess, am I going to have a little nephew?”

Liu Feifei feigned surprise, ”How did you guess?”

Anning pointed at Xiao Chang, and from her brother’s expression, she knew.

”It’s no fun,”

Liu Feifei waved her hand dismissively.

Anning asked her to sit down, ”Have you told Mr. Liu and Mrs. Liu?”

Liu Feifei shook her head, ”Just confirmed it, haven’t told them yet, not even our parents.”

Anning suggested, ”Call Mr. Liu and Mrs. Liu and have them come over to stay for a while, given you’re pregnant, emotional fluctuations can be more intense, and having them around will help keep you more content.”

Indeed.

Xiao Chang eagerly encouraged Liu Feifei, ”Call our parents and let them know, have them come over.”

Liu Feifei did call them.

Once Mr. Liu and Mrs. Liu heard about Liu Feifei’s pregnancy, without needing any urging from her, they hurriedly packed to come over.

This was their first grandchild, after all, and they had to take good care of them.

Liu Xia had married earlier than Liu Feifei, but over the years, Liu Xia and Qu Zhen were still without children. Both had strong career ambitions, focusing on work first, and before long, years flew by.

After notifying those who needed it, Xiao Yuan went to bring Si Linna and Shao Wen to Erdaowan, and he found a construction team to remodel Si Linna’s house.

Initially, Si Linna said it was unnecessary and too much trouble, but Anning kept persuading, ”Let Xiao Yuan do the remodeling; it’s not like he’s short on money now, and isn’t this his way of expressing his feelings? If you refuse, he’d be hurt.”

Si Linna had no choice but to let Xiao Yuan rebuild her house.
