My All-Female Fleet Swept the Galaxy

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: Turmoil in the Fierce Dragon Star System

The family members all looked at Grandfather Jiang, curious as to why he wouldn’t do so.

Grandfather Jiang whispered, ”I have never been loyal to the Zhao family. I am just a businessman, and I only do things that are related to profit.

”First, although we haven’t directly joined the Bao and Cui families’ plan, if they succeed, we can completely sit back and reap the rewards. After all, our Jiang family controls seventy percent of the only interstellar trade route in the Fierce Dragon Star System!

”Second, don’t forget that eldest young lady of the Zhao family.

”You can’t be naive enough to think that just because she hasn’t returned all these years, she has truly severed ties with the Zhao family.

”Once that eldest young lady learns of the Bao and Cui families’ rebellion, with her capabilities, she could easily take care of them.

”If we openly stand with them, we will only become a target for the Zhao family’s eldest young lady.

”Therefore, our best choice is to wait and see how things develop. A smart person always leaves a way out for themselves.”

After listening to Grandfather Jiang’s long speech, everyone had a sudden realization.

”I heard from Shasha earlier that the waste, Zhao Chen, defeated a Viscount’s son at the Academy with an Assembled Starship?” Grandfather Jiang looked at Jiang Shasha.

Jiang Shasha nodded. She had told her father and grandfather about this matter the moment she returned from the Academy.

”It’s just one Starship. What kind of trouble could he possibly stir up? I heard that the Interstellar Pirates the Bao and Cui families hired this time are professionals! All of them are former professional interstellar military personnel!” Jiang Shasha’s father sneered, as if he could already see the scene of that Waste Baron being killed.

”Speaking of which, in the past, when the Academy was on break, that Zhao family sibling pair would usually return around the same time as you, Shasha. Why haven’t they come back yet? Could they have discovered the Bao and Cui families’ plan of action?” Jiang Shasha’s mother muttered from the side.

Jiang Shasha said, ”According to the information we’ve received, that fellow Zhao Chen went to the Arctic Fox System first with his sister. The news that came back said his Zero Blizzard needs some repairs at the Arctic Fox Starport. But he will still be coming back this holiday, he just didn’t say when exactly.”

Just then, a man who looked like a butler walked up to the dining table from behind Grandfather Jiang and whispered a few words into his ear.

Grandfather Jiang looked at his family. ”Latest news. Our dear Baron has already departed from Arctic Fox Starport and is returning to the Fierce Dragon Star System. He is expected to arrive in two weeks, and after a brief stay, he will prepare to head back to North Star Starship Military Academy.”

”In that case, the Bao and Cui families can finally breathe a sigh of relief,” Jiang Shasha’s father said with great interest.

Grandfather Jiang squinted at his impetuous son. ”Remember, the Jiang family must keep a low profile this time. No one is allowed to get involved in this matter. Recall all direct descendants of the Jiang family, to save them from causing trouble for us.”

”Yes, Father,” Jiang Shasha’s father replied.

Two weeks later, mid-September.

Two Starships traversed the boundless Interstellar Frontier Space.

’Zero Blizzard Starship Intelligent System prompt: Zero Blizzard has exited the Warp Navigation State and has arrived at the designated location; now in Autopilot Mode.’

Zhao Chen’s eyes snapped open. Compared to the last warp navigation, he felt much more clear-headed this time. This should be due to the injection of the T1 Super Soldier Serum.

The door to the hibernation pod opened. Although he had been soaking in the blue liquid earlier, his clothes were now automatically dry.

He stepped out of the hibernation pod. His legs weren’t trembling, and his spirits were quite good.

”Cap... Captain...” The Half-Beast Female Starship Crew member who had just woken up beside him looked at the already-awake Captain in surprise, noticing that his mental state was excellent.

She remembered seeing the Captain’s legs tremble just after waking up not long ago.

Under normal circumstances, it would take at least three months to completely get used to a Military Sleep Chamber.

”Let’s get to work,” Zhao Chen said with a calm expression as he began his own work.

With Charlotte absent, Zhao Chen had to handle many things personally. He began to issue commands.

”All personnel on the bridge, return to your posts within one minute and check all Starship data. All personnel on the Starship, return to your posts within three minutes and be on standby. Communications department, attempt to contact the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship. Starship radar department, scan the surrounding star sector and see if you can find the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship.”

Just as Zhao Chen was issuing orders, a video window popped up, showing a communication request from the bridge of the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship.

Zhao Chen accepted it.

On the other side was the image of the bridge of the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship.

”You’ve already arrived?” Zhao Chen looked at Charlotte and Zhao Wan’er, who didn’t look like they had just woken up.

Zhao Wan’er said, ”We arrived half a day before you.”

Charlotte added, ”If it weren’t for matching the Zero Blizzard’s speed, with the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship’s Level Four Warp Engine, we could have arrived five days earlier at the fastest.”

The Zero Blizzard used a Level Three Warp Drive, while the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship used a Level Four Warp Engine. The speed difference during warp navigation was naturally huge.

Just as Charlotte said, if the T2 Queen Bee-class Heavy Carrier Starship hadn’t set its speed to accompany the Zero Blizzard, it would have reached the Fierce Dragon Star System long ago.

”I’ve contacted Jiang Hong. She’s very anxious about our rash actions and has repeatedly emphasized that we should leave as soon as possible!” Zhao Wan’er mentioned.

Zhao Chen said, ”Did Jiang Hong provide any other useful information?”

Zhao Wan’er transmitted a Star Map to him.

”According to the intelligence Jiang Hong obtained, the Bao and Cui families are preparing to attack us at this location.”

Zhao Chen looked at the Star Map of the Fierce Dragon Star System.

The location of the attack was a necessary route to the Zhao family’s home planet in the Fierce Dragon Star System, and they had precisely calculated the position where warp navigation would end prematurely.

”The Bao and Cui families have it all planned out. As soon as their attack on us succeeds, they will immediately launch an assault on our home planet to silence all Zhao family descendants!” Zhao Wan’er said indignantly. ”Our Zhao family has really raised a bunch of ungrateful wolves!”

Zhao Wan’er continued, ”Jiang Hong also gave me a list of the Interstellar Pirate fleet’s Starship models, as well as information on the Cui and Bao families’ private fleet Starship models.”

”Send both sets of information to me,” Zhao Chen said.

As the saying goes, know yourself and know your enemy, and you will win a hundred battles.

Even though Zhao Chen was already fully confident, he could never let his guard down.
