Journey to Planar World

After Phryne fell unconscious, the atmosphere momentarily fell silent.

However, a few seconds later, a wave of cheers erupted from the ceiling of the Entertainment District.

”OOOOHHHHH!!!”

The gods, who had previously been watching the battle with bored expressions, were now cheering loudly.

”HAHAHA! Finally, something interesting happened!”

”He’s just a young adventurer, but he defeated Androctonus? Amazing!”

”Who is he? I’ve never seen him before!”

Charlie’s victory over Phryne Jamil, the captain of the Ishtar Familia and a Level 5 adventurer, truly entertained the bored gods.

On the other hand, the Amazons who witnessed the battle could only stand in silence, staring at Phryne’s now-weak body lying on the ground.

Although most of them despised Phryne, no one doubted her strength.

But now, that feared strength had been easily defeated by a man who claimed to be Level 4?

”Impossible... He must be more than that.”

”Level 4? No way! He must be Level 5!”

Although their hearts struggled to accept it, the fact that Phryne had been defeated could not be changed.

The Amazon culture, which craved strong men for their seed, began to take over their instincts.

*JIIIII—*

Their gazes toward Charlie shifted.

Now, they looked at him like a hungry lion eyeing tempting prey.

”Hiii...!”

Sensitive to ill intentions, Charlie began to feel a chill creeping up his spine.

’Oh no, did I trigger something I’ll regret in the future?’

Not wanting to remain the center of attention for too long, he quickly pointed at one of the Amazons who fit his type.

”You! Take me to Goddess Ishtar.”

The girl, named Lena Tally, was momentarily stunned.

”W-What? To see Ishtar-sama?”

Lena hadn’t expected this man to take the initiative to meet their chief goddess after causing such a commotion.

’Then why didn’t he just go there from the start?! Why cause trouble first?’

Though her heart was filled with complaints, Lena obediently bowed and replied:

”Ah, alright... I’ll take you to Belit Babili.”

Reluctantly, she began guiding Charlie to Ishtar’s residence, Belit Babili.

◆━⊰✧⊱━◆

In the main hall of Belit Babili, Ishtar sat arrogantly on her throne.

Surrounding her, the room was filled with luxurious decorations showcasing her wealth and elegance.

She wore a red-orange cloth around her neck that barely covered her chest, leaving little to the imagination.

Every movement she made, no matter how small, deliberately revealed the curves of her body, but she didn’t care at all.

Her haughty demeanor and sense of superiority were evident in her cold, sharp gaze, like a queen looking down on everyone.

When Lena entered the room with Charlie, Ishtar scrutinized the man with a judging stare.

Charlie stood politely, showing not a hint of nervousness under the gaze of the Goddess of Beauty.

’Aside from being handsome, I can’t sense anything special about him. Why is Freya interested in him?’ Ishtar thought, disappointed.

To her, Charlie was indeed handsome. His facial features were captivating, his body well-proportioned, and there was an aura of mystery about him that was hard to explain.

However, for a Goddess of Beauty like Ishtar, who had seen thousands of handsome men in her lifetime, physical appearance alone wasn’t enough to impress her.

’Not just Freya, even Aphrodite is interested in this boy?’ She thought, her curiosity piqued.

”You caused quite a commotion in my territory, boy. You should feel honored to be granted an audience with me.”

Ishtar crossed her legs, provocatively displaying her smooth, tanned skin, though her gaze remained full of superiority.

She then stared at him with sharp eyes, taking a puff from her long pipe before exhaling a thin stream of smoke into the air. She had heard about Charlie’s deeds in defeating members of her Familia while trying to capture him.

”As long as you answer my questions, I won’t hold your actions against Phryne and the others against you.”

”Please, ask anything, Goddess Ishtar.”

Ishtar’s indifference and aloof demeanor made Charlie sympathize with the members of the Ishtar Familia.

”I don’t understand what it is about you that has Freya and Aphrodite so interested.”

’So that’s it. Considering Ishtar sees Freya as a rival and is deeply envious of her, it’s no wonder she can’t ignore me, a man who has caught Freya’s interest.’

With just one question, Charlie uncovered Ishtar’s true intentions.

’Women’s jealousy is truly terrifying... Thankfully, I haven’t been involved in any romantic relationships since my reincarnation.’

Charlie was grateful he wasn’t like other Reincarnators who rushed to build harems.

Although the world he had reincarnated into was Danmachi, which was an anime in his previous life, there was no doubt that this was no longer just a work of fiction but a real, actual world.

This world was very real. Here, people’s emotions couldn’t be controlled, and even a small mistake could ruin many things. Living in this world, Charlie knew that everything he had read in harem novels where the protagonist won the hearts of women left and right was nothing but nonsense, useless, and defied common sense.

A woman’s heart was the most mysterious thing in existence. Even if she was a 2D woman, she was still a woman. If one wasn’t careful, there would be no chance to defend oneself, let alone live a happy married life.

”Goddess Freya is interested in me because I’m a member of the Hera Familia.” Charlie answered calmly. It wasn’t a complete lie, so it couldn’t be considered deceitful.

Hearing this, Ishtar raised an eyebrow, staring at him more intently.

”The Hera Familia, huh?”

The explanation made sense to her.

She knew that Freya deeply despised Hera, and since Charlie had ties to the Hera Familia, it was natural for Freya to show interest in him.

However, Ishtar still felt something was off.

’Is that really all? If so, instead of approaching this man, Freya would have sent her followers to make his life difficult.’

Ishtar wasn’t easily convinced, especially by a man she had just met.

She decided to use her charm, something that had never failed to conquer the hearts of men—even great heroes.

With a captivating gaze, she began to activate her charm, flooding Charlie with waves of energy meant to influence his mind and make him completely submit to her will.

”Then, is that the only reason Freya is interested in you?” She asked again, this time in a more alluring tone, laced with the power of her charm.

”Yes, that’s all. As far as I know, Goddess Freya hasn’t approached me since then.”

Unaware that Ishtar had used her charm on him, Charlie answered as usual, showing no signs of being affected.

’What?! How is he still unaffected by my charm?’

Undoubtedly, this unexpected event shocked Ishtar.

’I can’t believe there’s a man immune to my charm!’

She tried increasing the intensity of her charm, but Charlie still showed no signs of being influenced.

Shock and frustration began to replace her haughty demeanor.

”Goddess Ishtar, is there anything else you’d like to ask? If not, I’ll take my leave.” Charlie asked, confused by Ishtar’s silence.

”Impossible... This has never happened before... Why aren’t you affected by my charm?” She asked sharply, almost hysterically.

Ishtar rose from her throne, glaring at him with eyes full of anger.

”...”

Charlie, who had initially been confused by Ishtar’s sudden change in demeanor, finally realized what had happened after hearing her words.

He understood that Ishtar had tried to use her charm to influence his mind.

Instantly, his neutral expression turned slightly cold.

The Chosen Savior, a unique skill for every Savior, granted absolute resistance to charm and mind control.

However, even though Ishtar’s charm had no effect on him, Charlie didn’t appreciate her actions.

’Compared to Freya and Aphrodite, Ishtar’s approach is terrible.’ Charlie felt slightly annoyed.

After all, if it weren’t for his skill, Ishtar’s charm might have worked, and he wouldn’t have been able to maintain his free will.

”In that case, I’ll take my leave, Goddess Ishtar.”

His words sounded polite, but the coldness in his tone clearly conveyed his displeasure.

Without waiting for a response, he turned and left the main hall of Belit Babili.

”Stop right there!”

Ishtar’s command rang out loudly, filled with anger.

However, Charlie paid no heed.

His steps remained calm, as if he hadn’t heard the Goddess of Beauty’s fury behind him.

His indifferent attitude frustrated Ishtar, but there was nothing she could do. After all, nearly all the warriors in her Familia had been defeated by this man alone.

”How dare he... That man has some nerve!”

Ishtar clenched her fists, the pipe in her hand cracking between her fingers.

”Charlie Avalon...” She said softly, but with intense hatred.

”You’ll regret treating me like this.”

Ishtar vowed in her heart that she would crush Charlie’s pride and make him kneel before her one day.

Her hatred for the man reached a level she had never felt before.

She would repay this insult in the future!
