Journey to Planar World

After half an hour, the group of girls from Loki Familia finally left. Charlie let out a sigh, enjoying the peace after being surrounded by such a lively atmosphere.

Without much thought, he took off his shirt. Under the watchful eyes of Astraea, Aishia, and Est, he prepared to update his status.

Aishia and Est showed no reaction, as if this were a normal occurrence for them. However, Astraea was different. As a goddess who had only ever led an all-female Familia, this was the first time she had seen a man’s bare body up close. Unsurprisingly, a faint blush appeared on her cheeks.

Unaware of Astraea’s embarrassment, Charlie took a drop of Hera’s blood and dripped it onto his forehead. As soon as The Chosen Savior activated, a mysterious light enveloped his body, and ancient characters began to form on his back. A few seconds later, his updated status was revealed.

Charlie observed his status with a satisfied expression. Just from one sparring session with Aiz, he had gained 1.041 Excelia points!

The higher a adventurer’s level, the harder it is to gain Excelia from weaker opponents. However, even though he had suppressed Aiz, who wasn’t using Ariel, and fought evenly afterward, technically he was still Level 4, while Aiz was Level 5. Thus, the Falna system judged Charlie’s fight as one against a stronger opponent, granting him a large amount of Excelia.

Next, Charlie focused on the two new skills that had appeared in his status. These were the rewards from Gaia and Alya after he completed the Quest.

Previously, he hadn’t had the time to examine them thoroughly as it wasn’t an urgent matter.

Now, he had the time to understand what he had truly gained.

[Six Eyes]

- Absolute control over energy down to the atomic level.

- Ability to see the flow of energy within living beings.

- Vision comparable to a high-definition infrared camera.

- Can easily see objects from several kilometers away and clearly distinguish various figures within that range.

Thanks to the Falna, which digitized every skill, Charlie could better understand his abilities.

’What a shame that Spirit Art is limited in spatial manipulation. Otherwise, I could replicate Gojo Satoru’s Limitless Technique. Oh well, I shouldn’t be greedy. Six Eyes already helps me perfectly control my energy output.’

Then, Charlie shifted his attention to the other new skill.

[Immortality]

- Longevity.

- Will not age.

—+—

Compared to the description of Six Eyes, Immortality felt incredibly brief and simple. However, the value of this skill was immeasurable!

Among the various races in the Danmachi world, humans were considered a short-lived race. No matter how high a human adventurer’s level, they would still be bound by death due to aging.

But now, Charlie could live longer than even long-lived races like Elf.

’Unless I’m killed or commit suicide, I will never die from natural causes. Wow, if the rulers and elites of the world knew I had obtained the immortality they’ve been chasing all their lives, what kind of expressions would they make?’

Thinking about this, Charlie couldn’t help but let a mocking smile form on his lips.

”Charlie, your smile looks... evil. It seems your mood is quite good.”

Astraea looked at him, who was still smiling, with a questioning expression.

”By the way, would you mind if I took a look at your status?”

As the Goddess of Justice, Astraea knew that looking at the status of a child from another Familia without permission was unethical. However, Charlie’s performance was too extraordinary. She couldn’t help but be curious.

”Of course, I promise to keep whatever I see confidential.”

”Alright.”

Without hesitation, Charlie handed the parchment to her.

”Thank you for your trust.” Astraea said softly.

However, as soon as she saw the parchment, her expression changed drastically.

”This...”

Her eyes widened as she read the SS and SSS rankings dominating Charlie’s status. That alone was incredible, but what truly left her speechless was the Magic Power column.

There was no number, only the symbol ∞.

Even the Falna, the blessing of the gods that records all human achievements and growth, couldn’t quantify his Magic Power!

This was something unprecedented!

But Astraea’s shock didn’t end there.

When she moved to the Magic column, her eyes widened again.

All three of Charlie’s magic slots were filled!

This was unbelievable!

Astraea was stunned.

Charlie had mentioned that he received his Falna from Hera about a month ago. How could someone fill all three magic slots in such a short time?

Even if Charlie used a Grimoire, it wouldn’t guarantee that he would awaken magic. A Grimoire wasn’t a miraculous tool that automatically granted magic to anyone who read it. If someone didn’t have an innate talent for magic, a Grimoire would be useless to them.

Moreover, Grimoires were extremely expensive and rare. Even among top-tier Familias, only a handful of people had access to them.

Even among adventurers who specialized as Mages, finding someone with three magics was incredibly rare. Most Mage-type adventurers only had one or two magics.

’Hera, you truly have an eye for finding exceptionally talented individuals.’ Astraea thought.

But her shock still wasn’t over.

When her eyes moved to the skill column, her breath hitched.

’One... two... six... eight...’

’Eight skills?!’

Astraea’s expression changed drastically.

Now she fully understood why Loki had called Charlie a monster rather than an unparalleled genius.

Astraea even thought that if Charlie had been born in the Age of Heroes, he would undoubtedly have been the strongest hero in history.

In fact, perhaps—

The one who could end the terror of the Black Dragon.

The legendary monster so powerful that even the greatest hero, Albert Wallenstein, failed to defeat it.

’Eight skills... If the other gods and goddesses knew about this, they would go crazy trying to recruit Charlie.’ Astraea had no doubt about that.

Currently, the record holder in Orario for the number of skills was Finn Deimne, the captain of Loki Familia, with five skills.

”Phew...”

Astraea exhaled as her eyes moved from the skill names to their effects one by one.

Not a single one was weak or useless.

Every skill in those slots was something that could change an adventurer’s life. In fact, if someone else possessed just one of these skills, they would undoubtedly rise to heights unattainable by the average adventurer.

But Charlie had eight!

’Could he be the hero of this era?’

Just by looking at The Chosen Savior skill, Astraea suspected that Charlie was the hero the gods had been waiting for.

’How many dragon-type monsters has he slain?’

When Astraea saw the Dragon Slayer skill, she knew it wasn’t something easily obtained.

One had to slay numerous dragon-type monsters or similar creatures to acquire it.

But when had Charlie had the time to slaughter so many dragons?! After all, it was impossible to find dragons on the Upper Floors.

Then, Astraea saw the most shocking skill in the slot—Immortality!

’He has transcended the limits of humanity.’

Astraea could no longer remain calm.

When she lifted her face, she looked at Charlie with a completely different gaze.
