Journey to Planar World

”It’s time to end the root of the problem. The Abyssal Devourer has brought a lot of death to this planet. Now, the hunter and the prey have switched positions.”

Wearing his new clothes, Charlie stared at the holographic map that appeared in front of him. The map contained the coordinates of the Abyssal Devourer’s location, which appeared after he defeated Fafnir. This world’s consciousness immediately sent the Abyssal Devourer’s coordinates in the form of a map that appeared in the corner of the TV screen while playing GTA.

”I’m worried that Fafnir’s corpse will be taken by the government for research. Humanity in this world isn’t ready for extraordinary power.”

Before Charlie left, his mind returned to Fafnir’s large body lying stiffly on the ground.

He didn’t know if humanity would gain extraordinary power after researching Fafnir’s corpse. But he didn’t want to take the risk of causing major changes to the power structure of this world due to his negligence.

Since there was initially no supernatural power system in this world, and humanity focused on developing the technology tree, let it stay that way. Sometimes, change doesn’t always lead to a better direction.

”…”

Approaching Fafnir’s body, which was starting to get cold. With one hand gesture, Charlie used Spirit Arts of Fire.

*FWOOSH!*

Flames ignited in his palm, slithering like a snake before turning into a sea of fire.

*HISSSSS!*

The flames devoured the dragon’s body quickly, melting its scales, flesh, and bones until only ashes remained. Even the blood scattered on the ground wasn’t spared from its power.

Of course, if Fafnir was still alive, these flames wouldn’t even hurt it, considering its abnormal magic resistance.

*FSHHHH!*

Standing amidst the flames that didn’t touch his body, Charlie looked up at the sky. After bathing in dragon blood and eating the dragon’s heart, his perception increased significantly. He could feel he was being watched from the sky.

”That explains why no drones were sent; they’re monitoring Tokai City through satellites, huh… I’m sure those watching are frustrated that I destroyed Fafnir’s corpse, right? Well, I’ve always disliked global elites who monopolize the world’s wealth and resources.”

Charlie even deliberately raised his middle finger upwards to worsen the viewers’ emotions.

His speculation wasn’t wrong; the leaders of various countries were furious to see him burn Fafnir’s corpse. Some radical groups even wanted to launch nuclear bombs to eliminate Charlie. After all, he had power that threatened their dominance. But some rational people opposed the decision, because Fafnir’s corpse had vanished, so they focused on capturing Charlie to uncover the mystery behind his superpowers. In short, they wanted to use Charlie as a guinea pig in human experiments.

”This is strange; the Abyssal Devourer hasn’t moved its position. It’s not trying to escape, or does it know it’s impossible to escape? So it doesn’t bother doing something useless? Whatever it’s thinking, my goal hasn’t changed.”

Unaware of the conspiracy against him, Charlie looked at the holographic map once again. The Abyssal Devourer’s location was clearly displayed.

*BOOM!*

*WHOOSH!*

He jumped into the air, and flew forward at incredible speed. The strong wind whipped his face, but his new body, now strengthened by dragon blood, wasn’t bothered by air pressure or extreme temperatures. Before, he needed to set up a barrier with Spirit Arts to withstand air resistance. Now, he didn’t need to. His physical body was incredibly tough and able to withstand air resistance while flying at the speed of sound.

*VROOOOOOOSH!*

At Mach 2, Charlie shot through the sky, leaving behind a sonic boom that rumbled.

”Gaia said the Abyssal Devourer, a Summoner type, doesn’t have combat power. Hopefully, that’s true. I’m tired of fighting and just want to end it all.” He murmured to himself, his voice almost drowned out by the roar of the wind.

On the virtual map screen that appeared in the corner of his vision, the coordinates of the Abyssal Devourer’s location shimmered, guiding him to a small town that was only a few dozen kilometers from Tokai City.

In just 43.73 seconds, Charlie arrived at the location.

*BAM!*

He landed with a thud on the roof of a hotel, the concrete around him cracking from the impact of his landing. Thin smoke billowed around him as he stood, raising his gaze to check his surroundings.

At the edge of the roof, stood a white-haired boy, wearing an elegant suit. His golden eyes looked mesmerizing, giving off an undeniable mysterious aura.

”You… Abyssal Devourer?”

Charlie narrowed his eyes, not believing that the Abyssal Devourer would take the form of a 12-year-old boy. He thought the Abyssal Devourer was a monstrous creature that terrified anyone who saw it.

”…”

The boy didn’t immediately answer. His face remained cold and expressionless, as if Charlie’s question was irrelevant. After a few seconds, he spoke in a calm, terrifying tone.

”You’re more competent than the three previous Saviors I’ve fought.”

”…”

Charlie remained silent, but he realized a subtle tone of contempt in the boy’s words.

”But all your struggles are in vain. Nothing can stop the Abyssal creatures from devouring countless worlds. You might win today, but it’s only a temporary victory. It’s only a matter of time before you’re killed by our species.” The Abyssal Devourer continued in an arrogant tone.

”…”

Not wanting to listen to the other party’s nonsense, Charlie slammed his right foot on the floor.

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*Pu-chi!* *Pu-chi!* *Pu-chi!*

The next moment, the floor around the Abyssal Devourer shattered. Dozens of large ice cones emerged from below, shooting towards the boy’s body at incredible speed. Each cone pierced with perfect precision, lifting the Abyssal Devourer into the air.

The Abyssal Devourer’s body hung in the air, supported by dozens of ice cones that pierced its body.

Even though his body was torn, the Abyssal Devourer’s expression didn’t show any pain. Instead, he chuckled, his cold voice vibrating in the air.

”You think this is the end? There are more Abyssal Devourers stronger than me. It’s a pity; I failed to see your expression of despair, Savior.”

With those last words echoing, the Abyssal Devourer’s body began to transform into black smoke. The smoke churned, slowly disappearing with the gust of wind. In a few seconds, nothing was left of the Abyssal Devourer but nothingness.

”Hm?”

At the same time, Charlie received information from the world’s consciousness. He could only stay in this world for another 12 hours before being automatically expelled.

”Only 12 hours, huh? Not much time left. Let’s go back to say goodbye.”

Without wasting any time, Charlie jumped into the air, his body shooting forward like a meteor. At Mach 2, he split the sky towards Tokai City.

*BOOM!*

The strong wind created by his speed formed a sonic boom, creating a loud echo that broke the morning silence.

A white trail stretched behind him like a brushstroke on the blue canvas of the sky.
