The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

Chapter 1742: Chapter 1742: Performing the Grand Ritual

Crossing layers of darkness, Ji You stared directly at that fine thread.

The Little Golden Dragon was still crying out anxiously, circling in distress. Liu Fufeng’s condition was clearly worsening. If they didn’t find a way to free him from the entanglement of those silk threads, Liu Fufeng might not make it.

The Little Golden Dragon glanced at Ji You. It couldn’t quite understand where Ji You got such composure, actually remaining unmoved.

Ji You stood quietly, motionless, like a statue, not a single strand of hair stirred.

The Little Golden Dragon turned to Liu Fufeng,

Liu Fufeng’s blood had slowed in its flow, but he seemed as if a layer of skin had been peeled off, his entire face was dull.

The Little Golden Dragon felt a tightness in its heart.

Ji You was still standing unmoved.

The Little Golden Dragon vigorously shook its tail and went to fiddle with the treatment instrument that was tossed aside, but under this shroud of darkness, it couldn’t be activated.

This was something the Little Golden Dragon already knew, but after trying once more and finding it still wouldn’t work, it almost spat out a mouthful of old blood.

Catching Ji You in the corner of its eye, Ji You now slightly raised her chin, gazing into a certain direction in the darkness. The Little Golden Dragon pressed its lips together, deciding to keep tinkering with the treatment instrument; maybe it could get it started?

The repairman said perseverance pays off; as long as you persist, success will come.

As the Little Golden Dragon circled around the treatment instrument, Ji You suddenly lifted her foot and took a step forward, having remained motionless all this time.

”Huh?” The Little Golden Dragon was stunned and stopped where it was.

Then.

Ji You stopped for a step and took another step forward, heading straight towards Liu Fufeng. The Little Golden Dragon’s heart tightened, hurriedly saying, ”Hey! Be careful, don’t step on him.”

”He’s almost kicking the bucket; don’t stomp him to death—” The Little Golden Dragon suddenly widened its eyes because Ji You directly stepped over Liu Fufeng, walking towards He Bi’s direction.

The Little Golden Dragon: ”???”

He Bi’s head, heart, hands, feet... were all bound by threads of silk. He was motionless, seemingly unaware of Ji You’s approach.

When Ji You stopped and stood beside him, He Bi, who had maintained a single pose without moving, seemed to sense something. His hands and feet suddenly struggled a bit, but as he struggled, the threads entangled him, and they began to tighten.

Bit by bit.

The more it tightened, the greater the force of restraint until He Bi went motionless again within moments. Not only unmoving, but whatever he thought of, a smile actually crept onto his handsome face. That smile, so radiant like blossoms, warm as the bright sun...

If it wasn’t in such a creepy scenario, this smile would surely make people mistakenly think he met his beloved in utmost joy.

However, in the eyes of the Little Golden Dragon, the scene grew increasingly eerie.

The Little Golden Dragon opened its mouth, intending to say something.

Then.

Before it could speak, Ji You lifted her foot and headed in Chu Jiaojiao’s direction, not stopping, but moving past Chu Jiaojiao and towards Sheng Qingyan...

”???” The Little Golden Dragon tilted its head, puzzled, and couldn’t help but ask: ”Hey! Woman, where are you going?”

Ji You did not reply.

The Little Golden Dragon furrowed its brow: ”Where are you headed? Why not say something?”

Ji You walked by Sheng Qingyan’s location and passed him. The Little Golden Dragon saw clearly that on Sheng Qingyan’s exquisite, beautiful face, there too was a smile.

The Little Golden Dragon: ”...”

Suddenly, it felt a bit unnerved.

As a crippled Biological Mecha with the ability for independent thought and possessing its own emotions... of course, the Little Golden Dragon could be frightened.

For instance, right now, the Little Golden Dragon couldn’t see the strands of silk thread winding around He Bi, Chu Jiaojiao, Sheng Qingyan... these humans; it only saw Ji You, He Bi, and the others’ strange behavior and the peculiar smiles.

The Little Golden Dragon only felt a chill down its spine.

Then.

Ji You seemed not to hear the Little Golden Dragon’s call, she passed Sheng Qingyan and then walked past Yue Qiguang, Yue Qiyuan, Shen Changqing...

After passing by all of them, Ji You suddenly stopped.

The Little Golden Dragon was delighted, thinking Ji You had heard its call, hurrying to say: ”You damned woman, what’s going on? Lord Heavenly Dog called you so many times, why don’t you answer? Let me tell you, if you dare do this again—”

Before the words fell, Ji You suddenly raised a hand, opened the spaceship’s hatch, and the next second—

”Hey!” The Little Golden Dragon froze: ”You...”

”Don’t jump!”

With a crash, Ji You leaped out the window.

The Little Golden Dragon: ”...”

The Little Golden Dragon was stunned for a moment, half a day without finding its voice. It opened its mouth, its lips quivered for quite a while before it finally shouted: ”Damn!”

”Damn woman!”

”If you’re going to commit suicide, at least inform me beforehand.”

”Damn, jumping out a window right in front of a cripple, do you think too highly of a cripple’s heart?”

”Me!!!”

The Little Golden Dragon didn’t even know what to curse at anymore. It gritted its teeth, threw away the treatment instrument it had been fiddling with for half a day without success, and rushed to the window.

The window of this cabin was made from military-grade alloy, able to withstand the attack of a Particle Cannon, and even can resist some High Energy Particle Cannon bombardment, and for safety reasons, these windows had always been sealed. Wanting to break the screws locking the window by hand was nearly impossible.

After rushing to the window, the Little Golden Dragon went to check on Ji You’s status for the first time, finding her landing on the Two-headed Bull’s head.

Oh—

Not dead.

The Little Golden Dragon was instantly relieved, then hurried to check the screws locking the window, realizing with a glance it wasn’t Ji You’s brute force that opened the window, she controlled the spaceship’s system to open it.

That is to say, even though this person was acting bizarrely, like a fool possessed, she wasn’t so dumb as to act without thinking.

The Little Golden Dragon was again at ease.

Then.

The Little Golden Dragon stretched its neck to look at Ji You, seeing her seated cross-legged beside one of the Two-headed Bull’s heads.

”What is going on?” The Little Golden Dragon muttered, wanting to ask, but inexplicably felt a chill because the next second, it saw Ji You extend her hands, her hands hovering over the bull’s head, and then—

Ji You began drawing with her hands, but who knows what she was drawing, the Little Golden Dragon only saw one circle, two circles, three circles...

After rounds of messy, dizzying operations, she didn’t stop, and then followed up with more suffocating actions!

She...

She suddenly stood up, turned left in a circle, then another circle, and then hopped forward a circle.
