The Interstellar Queen of Scavengers

A real Biological Mecha?

Chu Jiaojiao blinked, saying: “Very strong?”

Yue Qiguang raised an eyebrow and said: “It’s said to be the strongest in the universe.”

Shen Changqing paused, then softly said: “I heard it’s a killing machine, invincible, once activated, it would drag all living beings on the battlefield into hell.”

…

Ji You didn’t say a word, she just looked up quietly at He Bi, silently waiting.

He Bi looked at these younger students in front of him, and under everyone’s attention, spoke softly: “The initial intent behind designing Biological Mecha was to utilize various biological characteristics in an extremely convenient and effective way to clear out the Star Beasts within the human universe.”

He Bi’s voice was low and slow, continuing: “Scientists represented by the Alliance Research Institute poured countless efforts into collecting all detectable Star Beasts from the market, attempting to find their genetic defects, then used those defects to create a Biological Potion specifically to counteract those Star Beasts, which led to the concept of Biological Mecha.”

“And the Biological Mecha, nominally a mecha, is actually a large gene-mixing machine composed of countless biological genes, including countless Star Beast genes. According to Teacher Mu, not even she knows how many species’ genes the Heavenly Dog carries in its body.”

Seeing that everyone was surprised but not shocked, He Bi continued: “However, this plan ultimately failed.”

Everyone was startled.

Ji You frowned directly.

He Bi’s tone was calm, saying: “That’s right, even the world’s greatest invention— that astonishing Biological Mecha, ended in failure.”

Little Golden Dragon opened his mouth, stunned, saying: “What? Impossible! If it failed, why am I still standing here? Although my memory has gaps, my past memories are not fake; I truly have had the glorious experience of being a Biological Mecha.”

The experiences of fighting enemies alongside the repairman, the bits and pieces of daily life with the repairman… none of these were fake.

Now, he’s being told all of that’s a lie, even the first Biological Mecha failed.

This…

This isn’t just erasing his existence from the books, it’s denying his existence outright.

Little Golden Dragon felt unable to accept this.

Ji You raised her hand, patting his head, and instantly, the agitated Little Golden Dragon calmed down.

He Bi raised his eyes, looking at the overly shocked Little Golden Dragon, his gaze lingering briefly on Ji You’s calm face, then turning back to Little Golden Dragon, saying: “You can ask your creator Ye Lin. The answer might become clear, though Ye Lin has passed away for many years, so asking him is unrealistic. Or, you and your master can work hard to fully repair your body and recover that lost half of your memory.”

Little Golden Dragon frowned deeply.

The atmosphere was serious, no one spoke.

“The truth is quite cruel.” He Bi’s voice was as calm as possible, saying: “Why do we say the Biological Mecha failed? Because… it did not become the beacon for humans as envisioned, but rather became a disaster for humans. It brought tremendous destruction to human society, leading to the deaths of millions and the destruction of dozens of planets. The planets that are abandoned now, like Garbage Star No. 101, are all due to the ripple effects of the Biological Mecha’s destruction.”

Little Golden Dragon suddenly opened his mouth wide.

Ji You’s heart also skipped a beat. Garbage Star No. 101 wasn’t abandoned due to resource depletion? That’s what history has always taught her.

Chu Jiaojiao, Shen Changqing, and others all frowned in surprise.

Seeing Little Golden Dragon’s eyes turn red, about to cry, Ji You raised her hand, rubbing his head vigorously, saying: “Don’t cry.”

As soon as those words fell.

Little Golden Dragon’s tears fell immediately.

He bowed his head, his voice very small: “Woman… I’m… sorry, I couldn’t help but cry.”

From once being an invincible, majestic Heroic Mecha, suddenly becoming an executioner that killed countless… the psychological gap for Little Golden Dragon was immense, complex, and sorrowful… Ji You understood him and didn’t ridicule him for crying.

On the contrary, Ji You said calmly: “It’s okay. If crying once doesn’t solve it, then cry twice, cry three times… cry until you feel better. Crying is just a way to vent emotions, crying is not shameful.”

Little Golden Dragon suddenly burst into loud sobs.

In this oppressive crying, Liu Fufeng, who had been quiet, softly said: “That’s correct, the reason for destroying the Biological Mecha stated in the document I saw in the Emperor’s chamber is because of this. It caused tremendous destruction to humans, and humans could no longer control it, so it reached a point where it had to be destroyed.”

When he mentioned the word ‘destroy,’ Liu Fufeng’s fingertip paused slightly, and then his beautiful, delicate face showed no expression, even somewhat indifferent, saying: “It’s not like some failures, failures that are kept around only wasting some food, causing no harm, thus they are kept.”

After speaking.

Liu Fufeng changed his tone, saying: “But you don’t need to blame yourself or feel guilty. The one causing great destruction isn’t you; it’s that Biological Mecha. You are just a mismatched imitation… no! Not even an imitation. You’re just a patched up doll. You might have a part of it, but it’s not you; what it did cannot be counted against you.”

Liu Fufeng’s voice was quiet, calm, and indifferent, clearly comforting words, yet without a trace of warmth.

Yet, the few brief words from He Bi and Liu Fufeng left everyone present a bit dumbstruck.

He Bi glanced at Liu Fufeng.

Liu Fufeng raised his eyes, calmly meeting He Bi’s gaze.

He Bi withdrew his gaze, saying: “That’s right. I share these details not to burden Little Golden Dragon with guilt, but to convey all the truths I know.”

He Bi looked at Little Golden Dragon, saying: “The loss of control over Biological Mecha is not entirely its fault. The real error lies with humans. It was human error in operations that led to the irreversible situation. If responsibility must be assigned, it shouldn’t be the Biological Mecha, but humans.”

“There are many people and things involved in this, and Mu Teacher did not clearly explain to me, nor am I interested to know. I only know that Little Golden Dragon is Ji You’s mecha; Ji You can manage it, and I trust Ji You, and that’s enough.”

“So—” He Bi looked at everyone, saying: “I am not afraid of Little Golden Dragon at all.”

Chu Jiaojiao stood up, saying: “Who’s afraid of it? It’s not as powerful as my Po Jun.”

Yue Qiguang said: “Yes, even dad’s Po Jun is stronger than it.”

Little Golden Dragon was speechless.

A biological mecha, yet it falls to the level of not being as powerful as a Standard Mecha?

Wow, wow…

Although it may not really be a complete Biological Mecha anymore, the mecha shouldn’t be bullied like this either.

Little Golden Dragon’s inner mix of emotions was indescribable.
