Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 2253 - 1595: Preparation

The shopkeeper knew nothing about these matters; he merely used his Divine Sense to quickly memorize the contents of the Jade Slip, then left directly.

However, upon closer observation, one would notice a hint of confusion in his eyes.

After seeing those two Jade Slips, he couldn’t guess what Li Zhirui was asking about to receive such seemingly useless information.

The Spiritual Energy in Guangzhou has become denser, isn’t that a good thing? Why be concerned about this?

Moreover, the other party is the Sect Leader of Tongtian Sect in Mingzhou, not a cultivator of Guangzhou, so there’s no need to be concerned about this.

With these doubts in mind, the shopkeeper quickly returned to the tavern and reported the contents to the owner at the first opportunity.

”What does it mean?” Unexpectedly, the owner, an extraordinary Heavenly Immortal, didn’t know the secret behind it either.

Yet the more it was like this, the more his curiosity grew.

He even planned to find an opportunity to inquire with his Profound Immortal father.

...

On the other side.

After leaving the intelligence shop, Li Zhirui did not linger in this place. Instead, he promptly ended his trip to Guangzhou and swiftly flew towards the Mountain Gate.

The journey was silent, and before long, he returned to Ascension Mountain.

”In the coming period, the Sect will provide abundant resources to accelerate the disciples’ cultivation speed!”

As soon as Li Zhirui saw Li Qiankun, he issued a sudden command.

”Sect Leader, is something major about to happen?” He was full of doubt, but couldn’t help feeling tense.

Because he believed that their Sect Leader wouldn’t make such decisions without reason.

”Yes, the Tao Spirit Realm recently refined a high-grade Taixu Illusionary Realm, indicating a trend of promotion, and accompanying the world’s ascension is also the Great Catastrophe of the World!”

Li Zhirui might not explain this to other disciples, but as the current actual manager of the Tongtian Sect, he still needed to communicate this well.

If Li Qiankun stubbornly opposed it, he would have to take the effort to pick another successor from among the disciples as the acting Sect Leader.

”What?!”

Upon hearing such a major event would occur, Li Qiankun stood up in shock.

”This...this...Sect Leader, have you confirmed this?”

This isn’t something to jest about. Although he hasn’t personally experienced the World Catastrophe, there are records of it in past texts.

Many powerful top forces within the entire Tao Spirit Realm collapsed during the Catastrophe!

And the current strength of Tongtian Sect seems formidable, but in reality, it’s relatively ordinary.

Only in remote, backward regions like Mingzhou can they be considered a small overlord; elsewhere, they don’t even rank.

”Nine out of ten, so preparations must be made in advance.” Li Zhirui did not comfort, but began to strategize.

”You’re right, indeed we should prepare to face the Catastrophe as soon as possible!”

After a discussion, they ultimately confirmed plans to accelerate disciples’ cultivation speed, enhancing their strength and Realm.

The first point is to provide them with ample resources for cultivation, so the disciples don’t have to worry about resources and waste a lot of time on miscellaneous tasks just to earn Contribution Value and Spirit Stones.

The second point is to let the disciples form Dao discussion groups on their own, exchanging cultivation experiences and insights. If they encounter any cultivation problems, they can consult with one another and perhaps find answers.

The third point is to strengthen the disciples’ combat power! As for how to achieve this? Sect competitions, both large and small, need to be resolved.

As of now, they had come up with these ideas, and if there were any further thoughts later, they’d discuss adding them.

”For all the matters requiring oversight, I’ll need your effort,” Li Zhirui said earnestly.

”Disciple accepts the duty!”

Li Qiankun did not shirk his responsibilities; instead, he promptly agreed, as it was his duty all along.

”Do not disclose this matter externally for now.”

Before leaving, he specifically advised this.

He was mainly worried that if the related news leaked, it would cause the entire Tao Spirit Realm to fall into anxiety and fear, and a minor mishap might prematurely trigger the Catastrophe.

Furthermore, the sudden onset of the Catastrophe could result in severe casualties due to the lack of preparation.

It is better to remain cautious and careful.

...

”Dong, dong, dong——”

When only Li Qiankun was left in the hall, he struck the bell to notify all disciples. The deep sound instantly spread to every corner of the Mountain Gate.

Whizz, whizz, whizz!

Spirit Lights suddenly lit up, rushing towards the Sect Hall from every corner of the Mountain Gate.

”Sect Leader, what are your orders for needing to ring the bell and gather everyone?”

Since Li Zhirui still served as Sect Leader and couldn’t be referred to as acting Sect Leader, this title was used.

Li Qiankun shook his head and said, ”I’ll explain uniformly once everyone has gathered.”

Before long, the Elder and Steward who needed to be present were all there.

”Just now, the Sect Leader ordered that all disciples be provided with sufficient resources for cultivation, ensuring every disciple enjoys this benefit.”

”All disciples? That would be quite an expenditure!” an Elder couldn’t help but exclaim.

”Yes! All disciples!”

Li Qiankun stated seriously, ”Moreover, since the disciples’ cultivation is insufficient, they might encounter problems during cultivation. To solve them promptly and avoid lingering issues.”

”Everyone can freely form Dao discussion groups to exchange cultivation experiences and insights, which may benefit everyone’s cultivation.”

”At the same time, everyone should not focus only on cultivation and neglect enhancing their strength. Starting this year, the Sect will hold sect competitions annually, and every five years, a grand competition!”

”And the Sect will also organize everyone to head to Spirit Mountain for strength training.”

These words left everyone present in shock.

If they could understand the previous order to distribute cultivation resources, they were puzzled by this new directive.

Why did the Sect Leader suddenly give so many instructions? Did he discover something?

”Sect Leader, did the Sect Leader explain the reason to you?”

An Elder asked, ”Roughly calculating if done as you said, the Sect would have to spend fifty percent more Spirit Stones annually!”

The expenditure is enormous; even with Li Zhirui’s instructions, they wished to know the reason.

”I don’t know, but the Sect Leader surely has deep meaning in doing this. It won’t harm the Sect,” Li Qiankun lied, not telling the truth.

The scene became very quiet; no one agreed or opposed his earlier statement.

”If there are no objections, just execute it well.”

With that, he began to send people away, not wanting them to disturb his work.

...

Meanwhile, Li Zhirui, upon returning to the Cave Mansion, pondered whether to leave the Tao Spirit Realm before the Catastrophe erupted!

Now is a very suitable time. Without the Catastrophe breaking out, even though the Heavenly Dao strictly controls the entry and exit of life forms, it has no control over creatures from the Outer Realm like him.

His main concern now is that once the Catastrophe erupts, even if he settles the karmic issues promptly, he won’t be able to leave.

But Li Zhirui also had reasons not to leave, for he hadn’t found the reincarnation of the predecessor who founded Tongtian Sect, nor guided him onto the path of cultivation.

This was his primary mission!

Assigned by the Upper Qing Dao Sect Hierarch, also his temporary teacher.

After long consideration and internal conflict, Li Zhirui ultimately decided to stay in the Tao Spirit Realm.

The main reason being that after he left, without his presence and protection, Tongtian Sect might be destroyed in the Catastrophe.

Without this tool, how could he attract the reincarnation of that predecessor spontaneously? He couldn’t possibly search aimlessly among the masses, could he?
