Rebuilding the Immortal Cultivator Clan

Chapter 2220 - 1579: Passing into Nirvana

Wan Sheng agreed with all the benefits Li Zhirui mentioned. If a Spirit Land for the disciples’ training could truly be created, it would be even more gratifying because it signifies an elevation in the Tongtian Sect’s luck, strength, and more.

However, the issue of insufficient territory that it raised is indeed real!

”To the northwest of the Mountain Gate, thousands of miles away, there is a forest covering thousands of miles. It already has several Spirit Veins, and since it’s a Land Without Master, it’s perfect to use as the Sect’s resource ground and training Spirit Land.”

Li Zhirui already had a solution for this, and the place he mentioned was actually the forest where he initially extracted the Spirit Veins.

Back then, to increase the Mountain Gate’s Spiritual Energy, he extracted a considerable portion of the Spirit Veins’ origin, making the forest’s Spiritual Energy become very thin. But little did he know, after a few hundred years, those Spirit Veins’ grade now needed to be enhanced once again.

To say he regrets it, he definitely doesn’t, for compared to the Mountain Gate, the importance of the Spirit Land pales significantly. It merely costs a few more Spirit Stones.

Moreover, over these years, the Mountain Gate has developed such a rich Spiritual Energy also thanks to Li Zhirui’s past actions.

”That forest?”

Wansheng thought about its location and couldn’t help but furrow its brows, saying, ”Sect Leader, isn’t that place too close to the border?”

Then it voiced its concerns, ”If the Devil Beasts we rear make contact with the Devil Race from the Ten Thousand Demon Continent, they could attack the border’s Immortal City, inside and out...”

”Whether or not they succeed, this would pose a significant crisis to the Sect.”

Certain factions might use this as an excuse to cause trouble for the Tongtian Sect, oppressing it.

Li Zhirui remained silent, as this was something he hadn’t considered before, and could only lower his gaze, pondering solutions.

After a while, he finally said, ”In that case, we can construct Immortal Cities on the western and northern outskirts of the Spirit Land. While monitoring the Devil Beasts, it would also facilitate Loose Cultivators to go there for training.”

Moreover, these two Immortal Cities need not be as extensively built as the Ten Thousand Treasures Immortal City. Accommodating ten to twenty thousand people will do, focusing mainly on the defense of the Immortal City in case the Devil Beasts indeed team up with the Devil Race from the Ten Thousand Demon Continent.

This method isn’t exactly foolproof, but it’s also not feasible to abandon the plan due to a situation that hasn’t occurred yet.

Seeing Wansheng no longer oppose, Li Zhirui then addressed the disciples: ”Your next task is to create a Spirit Land and build two Immortal Cities.”

”During this process, those who perform outstandingly will receive the opportunity for a True Disciple trial!”

It’s been a while, and the Tongtian Sect should cultivate a few more True Inheritors by now.

After speaking, he ignored the excited disciples and turned away, leaving.

Seeing them so happy and excited, Wansheng secretly shook its head, thinking that many disciples might feel they have a chance, but the more one thinks this way, the less likely it is.

However, since this is also a part of testing the disciples, it said nothing more and quietly left.

”Who would have thought Brother Ding Hui would actually seize the top spot!”

Once the thrill among the disciples over the True Disciple trials faded, someone sighed, causing another stir among the crowd.

It wasn’t until then that the shock of Ding Hui defeating Jiang Yong slowly surfaced among the people.

”Brother Ding is truly amazing. I think in this True Disciple trial, he will definitely make it as a True Disciple!”

”If he, being so powerful, can’t pass, then we have no hope.”

”When Brother Ding becomes a True Disciple, wouldn’t he become the chief among all disciples?”

Although the Tongtian Sect hasn’t set up positions like a chief disciple, the disciples themselves can’t help but think in that direction.

Just as Ding Hui was about to leave, hearing this, he paused and then said sincerely, ”Thank you for your kindness, but the title of Chief Disciple is really something I dare not bear. Please refrain from mentioning it in the future.”

He never was one to seek the limelight; showing his ability in the Sect’s competition was just to win the rich cultivation resources of the top spot, not for fame.

”Brother Ding speaks truly, it was us joking too much, and I hope Brother Ding will not hold it against us,” said an awkward Independent Immortal Disciple standing up.

Thinking back, they offended quite a few with their words.

Not only could this bring trouble to Ding Hui, but it also seemed to show disdain for other True Inheritors. After all, if there indeed were a chief disciple position, surely those True Inheritors would want to vie for it too.

Yet, in their words, it seemed that position was already certainly Ding Hui’s, leaving no chance for others.

Especially now, with True Disciples like Xu Benlei and Jiang Yong present!

”Very well.”

Ding Hui glanced at them for a while, then nodded, turned, and returned to his Cave Mansion.

”Hmph!”

A few True Disciples let out a dissatisfied snort, flicked their sleeves, and left in anger.

”Henceforth, words and actions must be cautious, lest inadvertently offending others.”

The remaining disciples looked at each other, originally wanting to please Ding Hui, but now having offended both sides of the cultivators, wore wry smiles and eventually dispersed dejectedly.

After the Sect’s Grand Competition ended, the Tongtian Sect became active.

A large number of disciples left the Mountain Gate, heading to the Thousand Mile Forest designated by Li Zhirui, where their current priority was to enhance the Spirit Veins’ grade and enrich the Spiritual Energy.
