The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 840: Chapter 840: Sanya Wants to See the Female Doctor

The books in the bookstore in prefecture are naturally more varied and complete, so since we are here, we might as well take a few more books home.

Shu Yu nodded, ”Alright, let’s go to the bookstore.”

Meng Yunzheng was familiar with Dongan Province, so he took the lead and headed to another street.

This street was even busier, and the bookstore was quite large. Dahu was eager to try and hurried into the store.

Lu Erbai quickly followed behind, while Meng Yunzheng handed the reins to a staff member at the door of the bookstore and turned around planning to call Shu Yu and Sanya, but found that the two had stopped.

Sanya was turning her head, looking at a clinic across the diagonal.

Shu Yu looked down and asked, ”Do you want to go over and take a look?”

Sanya looked at her expectantly. Last time her second sister mentioned that there were female doctors in the clinic here in the prefecture, and she was very curious and wanted to see.

Shu Yu smiled and scraped her nose, ”Although this clinic is in the prefecture, its facade is not very big, I’m afraid there are no female doctors.”

Sanya immediately sighed in disappointment, ”Then never mind.”

”Why give up?” Shu Yu laughed, ”Since we are in the prefecture, of course, I will take you to see. I have promised you. This clinic doesn’t have one, but there is a large Medical Hall at the end of this street, which has a highly skilled female doctor.”

”Really?”

”Uh-huh, while Dahu is buying books here, shall we go take a look?”

Sanya eagerly nodded her little head.

Shu Yu stood up straight and looked towards Meng Yunzheng who had unknowingly approached, saying, ”I’ll take Sanya to the end of the street. Once you guys finish buying books, come and pick us up.”

”Okay.”

Meng Yunzheng wanted to accompany her, but Dahu needed to know which books to buy, their prices, and how to choose them all needed his supervision. Lu Erbai did not understand these matters, and it would be bad if they were swindled.

Shu Yu took an excited Sanya and walked towards the end of the street. The street was quite lively, with many food stalls.

But Sanya was solely fixated on the female doctor in the medical clinic, she hadn’t even glanced at her usually favorite foods.

Shu Yu thought: Sanya really loves learning about medicine.

She smiled, quickening her pace involuntarily.

Once they reached the end of the street and saw Renxin Clinic, Sanya finally stopped and asked Shu Yu in a soft voice, ”Second sister, is this the place?”

”Yes, let’s go in and see.”

Sanya hesitated now, ”Second sister, we’re not sick, can we go in? Will the female doctor think we are here to cause trouble?”

Because Doctor Zhao Xi was always around, members of the Lu family could get medical treatment quickly even if they were sick. Sanya felt that she was in perfect health.

Shu Yu was amused, ”You can also go even if you’re not sick. Many noble families’ madams and young ladies, even if they aren’t sick, will ask the doctor to check their ’peace pulse’.”

”Is that so?” Sanya had obviously not learned this part yet.

Now that her second sister mentioned it, she immediately memorized it.

So there was something called a peace pulse.

”Let’s go.”

Shu Yu led Sanya into the door, and inside the large Medical Hall, there were quite a few sick people lined up.

Shu Yu looked around and didn’t see the female doctor; it seemed the diseases women came here for were mostly gynecological issues which were embarrassing to discuss openly, likely handled in a separate room.

Indeed, as soon as she asked, a staff member pointed to a compartment not far away.

”Doctor Xie is over there. If you want to see her for a consultation, you need to line up. I’m afraid it won’t be until evening.”
