The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 835: Chapter 835: Her Parents Are Still Alive

Shu Yu almost began to doubt whether she remembered the time of their death incorrectly, but the blow from her parents’ murder was too severe, too deep. How could she possibly remember it wrong?

What on earth was going on? She was starting to think this was all just a dream that she had conjured up.

But whether the scene or the details, they were too real, not dreamlike at all.

Shu Yu watched how her parents and the young Shu Yu got along for over ten days and finally came to understand from their conversations.

They were still working at the research institute, still researching the same project from her past life.

The difference was that last year, when the young Shu Yu had just arrived, she fell seriously ill shortly after arriving at the Shu family because of her timid and fearful nature.

After recovering from the illness, her constitution was not as good as before, and she became exceptionally sensitive, often having nightmares all night long, feeling overwhelmed with fear and helplessness in the face of the unknown world.

This frightened the Shu family parents, and after almost losing this child, they began to change their habit of being away from home often, even taking a long leave to stay at home with the child.

As a result, their work at the research institute was inevitably delayed.

But the research institute couldn’t possibly be so heartless as to require them to continue working after they almost lost their daughter.

Naturally, the original project couldn’t be left for them to handle anymore, and the early foundational part they were responsible for was taken over by a few people who parachuted in from who knows where.

Although the final research results were successful, the couple’s contribution wasn’t as much as in the past life, and naturally, they wouldn’t become the target of that gang.

Of course, the gang still made their move in this life.

But the person who became the target was not a simple character, with a background much deeper than that of Shu Yu’s parents. Not only did that person save their own life, but they also fought back against the gang.

The Shu family parents were safe and sound, and the couple even started to consider resigning.

Both of them worked at the institute, and the child at home could only be left to the elderly, but the old folks were getting on in years, and just last month, they received a critical illness notice. Now, the young Shu Yu’s courage had become particularly small, tearfully unwilling to part with them every time they left home.

The couple decided to draw lots, and whoever drew it would resign and then look for a lighter job.

After knowing the process, Shu Yu remained silent for a long time, thinking back on her own childhood experiences. She had been sensible since she was a child; her grandfather often talked about her parents being busy outside, striving to make money so that she could have a good life.

She understood her parents, even though she really wished they were there with her, she never voiced it out.

She could take care of herself, take care of the elderly, cook and go to school on her own; she didn’t need others to worry about her.

Father Shu and Mother Shu were thus assured by her, and were even very proud of her being so sensible.

Shu Yu had never thought that being ’immature’ could also be a way to save her parents’ lives.

Because of young Shu Yu’s fears and continual uneasy crying, Father Shu and Mother Shu couldn’t be at ease and pushed back their work to stay by her side, saving their own lives in the process.

Seeing them still alive, Shu Yu let out a long sigh of relief.

It’s good, really good that the young Shu Yu is here!

Shu Yu felt at peace, and was finally able to leave.

Her figure started to slowly become more and more transparent, looking at the young Shu Yu sitting inside a children’s room reading a fairy tale book, she gently waved her hand, ”Goodbye, I wish you happiness.”

”Who?”
