Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 595: Chapter 575: The Luo Family Brothers’ Challenge (Luo Yanhao’s Story)

”Hmm, as long as he’s not mad at me, I’m fine,” Old Master Luo said, looking at the items Jimo Cheng brought with a face full of indifference.

Luo Qianqian felt like her previous surprise was a bit trivial, pouting and looking at Old Master Luo, with no idea what to do next.

”Oh, these are your clothes and shoes for tomorrow,” Jimo Cheng handed two boxes to Luo Qianqian.

Luo Qianqian smiled lightly, ”You even had to prepare clothes and shoes, that must have been tiring.”

However, she was puzzled, dresses were understandable as she had seen them before, but how did he guess the shoe size? Surely Jimo Cheng didn’t possess the skill of estimating people’s measurements with a single glance?

”It’s nothing, I’m honored,” Jimo Cheng chuckled, then his gaze shifted to Baozi at Luo Qianqian’s feet. He bent down and extended his hand, ”Hi.”

Baozi acted bashfully, hiding behind Luo Qianqian’s legs, wagging his little tail.

”Baozi, why are you being shy?” Luo Qianqian was also quite surprised; usually, if Baozi disliked someone, he would just run away with his butt twisted, and if he liked them, he would wag his tail around them. This was a first.

”Jimo Cheng? I’ve heard quite a bit about you,” Luo Yanhao walked in from outside with a scrutinizing look on his face.

Last night, except for Luo Yanran who often stayed at home, everyone else went back to their own homes, so it had been a long time since they had seen each other, and their parents were naturally worried.

But they were also worried about their sister, hence why he came early in the morning.

Jimo Cheng straightened up and looked at Luo Yanhao, bowing slightly, ”Far from it, I’m the one who has long admired you.”

Luo Qianqian pursed her lips; her second brother actually giving compliments? Isn’t he always acting like a smiling tiger? Suddenly speaking like this startled her, and with a look of anticipation for the drama, she scanned the two men and hung a faint smile on her face.

Luo Yanhao, seeing the expression on Luo Qianqian’s face, knew his thoughts were discovered by his sister and could only smile helplessly. He then said, ”I wonder if I, as her brother, have the honor of learning a thing or two from you?”

Luo Qianqian’s heart skipped a beat; she knew it was coming.

Still, she was quite flattered, after all, her brother cared for her, but she laughed lightly to defuse the tension, since the guest should be treated hospitably, ”Second Brother, he’s a guest, isn’t this inappropriate?”

”It’s fine,” Jimo Cheng looked candidly into Luo Qianqian’s eyes, ”I understand a brother’s eagerness to protect his sister, and the desire not to have her taken away so easily. Please instruct me.”

Luo Qianqian sat down beside Old Master Luo, somewhat embarrassed: ”Grandpa, won’t you say anything to Second Brother?”

Old Master Luo gave her a look; it was he who had instigated the whole thing. Otherwise, in the presence of an elder, even if Luo Yanhao were the wild type, he wouldn’t dare to be so audacious, right?

”I’m just a rough fellow, I don’t understand anything sophisticated like music, chess, literature, or painting, only martial arts can be considered presentable. Qianqian and Yanran mentioned you’re quite skilled too, why don’t we spar a bit?” Luo Yanhao’s face was impassive, but his words caused Luo Qianqian’s mouth to twitch—when had she said that? What was he talking about? She knew nothing about it.

While Luo Qianqian was still considering this, Jimo Cheng looked at his clothes, seemingly not appropriate, right?

”I have some sportswear here, if you don’t mind, I can lend it to you,” Luo Yanran nonchalantly brought down a set of sportswear still in the shopping bag; he seldom wore sportswear, it had remained unworn since the purchase.

Just now, Luo Xiying had knocked on his door asking him to bring down a set of sportswear, reminding him of its existence.

”Thank you very much,” Jimo Cheng looked up at Luo Yanran coming down the stairs, nodded slightly, and didn’t show any dissatisfaction on his face, seemingly prepared for this.

Luo Qianqian kept pursing her lips; how could he know someone was coming so soon after going up, and still managed to bring down clothes?

Luo Yanran, as if unaware of Luo Qianqian’s gaze, pointed to a room on the side, ”That’s the guest room. If anything’s not to your liking, let me know, I have more.”

Luo Yanhao pursed his lips; this little brother was the kind who buys clothes and never wears them, especially sportswear which he would typically wear only for acting. He lazed around the house in baggy shorts and a loose T-shirt, slouching all day without the self-awareness of an idol.

Jimo Cheng nodded at everyone and then walked into one of the rooms.

Watching Jimo Cheng enter the room, Luo Qianqian looked displeased, her girlish side immediately showing, ”Second Brother, is this really okay?”

”What’s not okay? Thinking you could easily become our brother-in-law?” Luo Yanhao had a look of nonchalance, then he turned to look at Luo Yanran, ”Think about what you want to do for a while, the eldest and third brother are on their way.”

Luo Yanran’s cheeks twitched slightly, how come it involved him again?

Soon after, Jimo Cheng changed his clothes and left the house.

Dressed in light blue sportswear, but still in the slippers he had switched to earlier, his fresh short hair, combined with the outfit, made him look like the sunny sportsman senior in school.

Of course, that was what Qianqian thought.

What Luo Yanran thought was, this kid would also do well if he went into show business.

As for Luo Yanhao? He sized up Jimo Cheng’s physique up and down, nodded slightly, and thought that this person was not all show like Luo Yanran; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able to save Qianqian from danger.

Old Master Luo fell silent for a moment then stood up, ”Don’t go too far in your childish games, stop at the appropriate point. Luo Yanran, move the coffee table and sofa over there.”

Luo Yanhao and Jimo Cheng were also stunned and moved forward to help. Were they planning to let them fight in the city?

Qianqian looked at the slippers on Jimo Cheng’s feet. Was this taking into account that his shoes were inconvenient? Her eyes shifted to the shoe cabinet at the entrance, and seeing a pair of white leather shoes, she understood. Although grandfather seemed to have no good feelings for Jimo Cheng, he still considered his situation, huh.

After the coffee table and sofa were shifted to the dining area, the entire living room was emptied, providing a vast space enough for two people to exercise their martial arts.

Luo Yanhao was not fussy and immediately took off his slippers and socks, standing barefoot on the floor.

Jimo Cheng followed suit, removing his slippers and socks, and stood opposite Luo Yanhao, giving a ceremonial bow.

Luo Yanhao was taken aback for a moment but quickly returned the bow.

Then Jimo Cheng slightly spread his legs, held his fists in a slight tilt, and raised them to his chest, his eyes in a flash turning from mild to sharp.

Luo Yanhao praised silently in his heart. No matter if this person could beat him or not, that look alone earned his respect, a serious look.

Qianqian didn’t know what she was thinking; while they moved the coffee table earlier, she just stood by holding a fruit plate, and now seeing the two about to start, she immediately retreated far away, standing next to Yanran and handing him an apple.

Luo Yanran subconsciously took the apple, enjoying every move and posture between his second brother and Jimo Cheng. Not because the moves were graceful, but because he felt a secret delight watching Luo Yanhao take hits.

Qianqian watched the two exchanging offense and defense, like a well-rehearsed performance, neither gaining an advantage, which left her mouth agape in astonishment.

”Crunch.” Luo Yanran bit into the apple while watching, the crisp and sweet sound echoing in the room.

Moreover, he would definitely take a bite whenever Jimo Cheng’s fists or feet landed on Luo Yanhao.

Once could be a coincidence, twice could also be coincidental, but when it kept happening, what else could it be?

Even Qianqian, fully immersed in figuring out how to take down the two men, noticed it, looking at Yanran with confusion.

Luo Yanhao was even more infuriated. How much had he bullied this kid to make him enjoy seeing him in trouble so much? Couldn’t applaud, so he provided sound effects with his apple munching, huh?

Isn’t that what they say about siblings? Luo Yanhao immediately understood Luo Yanran’s thoughts.

Luo Yanhao got distracted, and Jimo Kong’s move had already arrived, but Qianqian spotted that his action was a beat slow, allowing Luo Yanhao to successfully block his attack.

Old Master Luo nodded slightly to himself.

”So foolish.” Luo Yanran’s voice reached everyone’s ears, Luo Yanhao shot him a glance, then withdrew and said, ”Thanks for going easy.”

”Thank you for holding back,” Jimo Cheng said with a faint smile on his face, his eyes shifting from sharp back to gentle, then turning towards Qianqian.

Luo Yanhao, on the other hand, gripped his fist and grabbed Luo Yanran, who had munched three apples, ”Come on, let’s have a talk.”

Luo Yanran cast a plea for help towards Qianqian. Qianqian was already walking towards Jimo Kong with a smile on her face and a towel in hand, so Yanran was dragged out the door by his brother. Soon afterward, various muffled groans could be heard.
