Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 506: Chapter 486: Pei Chenhao, the Little Fatty

”Pei Chenhao seems a bit aggressive, but he’s actually okay, just eats a bit too much...” Lu Simiao couldn’t resist cracking a joke to cheer up Luo Qianqian.

”I totally agree,” Qin Nuan rolled her eyes. ”He only left us a bag of fried chicken fillets and a burger,” she pointed at the food on the table, her face speaking volumes of speechlessness. A ten-inch pizza, a burger, a big bag of fries and chicken nuggets, plus fried pancakes and skewers, jelly fruit salad, and a slushie, all gone, gone, gone!

Lu Simiao was stunned for a moment, then looked at the table, his face full of concern, ”Sister, didn’t you and Sister Qin Nuan have lunch?”

Pei Chenhao was about to cry, he had already slowed down his eating pace, but these two just wouldn’t come out to eat, so he ended up eating more than he realized while watching TV.

”We had milk tea, no worries, just need to eat a bit more later.” Luo Qianqian rubbed Lu Simiao’s head and smiled, then looked at Pei Chenhao: ”But, after eating so much, can he still keep going?”

”...Give him double and he could still finish it. Otherwise, how could he get so fat?” Lu Simiao was nowhere near polite, saying fiercely.

Pei Chenhao, knowing he was at fault, didn’t dare to talk back and embarrassedly touched his head, pointing at the leftovers on the table: ”Have they cooled down? Are you sisters still going to eat? Don’t waste them if not...”

Qin Nuan looked at him doubtfully.

He continued: ”I’ll eat them, then it won’t be a waste.”

Lu Simiao looked at Luo Qianqian and Qin Nuan, both speechless, too annoyed to speak: ”Go ahead then, my sisters certainly don’t eat cold food!”

Luo Qianqian also felt helpless, how could he not be too full eating so much?

”Bring your recent homework and test papers for me to see.” Watching Pei Chenhao eating, knowing there was still some time till dinner, Luo Qianqian happily played the most annoying elder.

Qin Nuan chuckled at this: ”Right, right, right, if you don’t do well, no meat for you tonight.”

Pei Chenhao’s action of eating a burger halted for a second, then he carefully savored the fried chicken leg inside, as if it was his last meal.

Seeing this, the two of them didn’t need to guess how his grades were, having been through this phase themselves.

Lu Simiao, however, was fearless, pulling out his neatly kept homework and papers, without a single dog-eared corner, and the papers were spotless.

The comments at the back of the homework were all A+, and the papers were uniformly perfect scores.

Qin Nuan’s eyes widened: ”This unexpected brother of yours is incredible?”

Luo Qianqian touched his head with satisfaction: ”That’s amazing, what do you want? Sister will buy it for you.”

Lu Simiao shook his head: ”Sister, you keeping me fed and clothed, sending me to school, that’s the best reward for me. I need to study hard and be a useful person to repay sister. My life now is like a dream, I’m already very satisfied.”

”Lu Simiao, didn’t you say last night that you wanted your sister to come to the sports meet?” Pei Chenhao suddenly interrupted.

Luo Qianqian raised an eyebrow.

Lu Simiao’s face instantly turned red like a tomato, shouting at Pei Chenhao, visibly flustered: ”Who needs you to butt in? I was going to wait until after the monthly test to ask my sister to sign!”

Luo Qianqian said, ”Great, when is it? Can I bring Sister Nuannuan along?” her face all soft.

Lu Simiao, delighted, nodded repeatedly: ”It’s at the end of the month.”

Pei Chenhao stuck out his tongue, his eyes filled with envy, such a thing, his family never cared about.

Qin Nuan raised an eyebrow: ”Do you want me to make a lunchbox?”

Luo Qianqian retorted without thinking: ”Do you think this is a cartoon? Lunchbox? We were going to buy snacks!”

But then she saw Lu Simiao shaking his head: ”Sister, we want to eat lunchboxes, snacks aren’t healthy.”

Luo Qianqian was at a loss for words, was she being schooled by a kid?

”Sister Lu Simiao, can you come and watch my competition?” Pei Chenhao hesitantly spoke up.

Lu Simiao’s face changed immediately, and just as he was about to say something, he heard Luo Qianqian ask, ”Why?”

”It’s a group project. I used to pair up with the teacher, but I don’t want to this year,” Pei Chenhao muttered.

Luo Qianqian smiled, ”But I am Lu Simiao’s sister, why don’t you ask your parents?” She paused for a moment, ”I can help you once, but not for a lifetime. I can’t replace your parents. How will you know what they think if you don’t communicate with them?”

Lu Simiao hugged Luo Qianqian and nodded repeatedly, ”Exactly, exactly. You can cry and scream and threaten to hang yourself, but why compete with me for my sister? You still have parents; I only have a sister left.”

Luo Qianqian was speechless. Was this not concerning him, offering random advice?

”Should I help you communicate with them?” Luo Qianqian said after a moment of hesitation.

But Pei Chenhao shook his head, ”Lu Simiao is right!”

”Don’t listen to him, and what’s this about crying, making a scene, and hanging yourself? What if you actually did hang yourself? Would you take responsibility?” Luo Qianqian slapped the top of Lu Simiao’s head, ”Stop giving reckless advice. Don’t think just because you are a child you can be irresponsible with your words. People need to be accountable for their actions before they can qualify to become the adults they aspire to be.”

Lu Simiao nodded seriously, ”I’ll take responsibility. Pei Chenhao, you should call your mom and tell her you’re sick. If they still don’t come back, I’ll lend you my sister.”

Luo Qianqian wanted to cough up blood. So, his idea of being responsible was to lend her out???

”Okay.” Pei Chenhao nodded.

Luo Qianqian stared with wide eyes, Are you serious?

Qin Nuan laughed uncontrollably, watching Luo Qianqian being ’sold off’. She had no desire to rescue her at all, only wishing to watch the spectacle, even considering buying some popcorn.

Then she watched the chubby kid scurry back to his room, and soon he came back out.

”What did you go and do?” Lu Simiao raised an eyebrow.

”I sent a message to my mom saying I was sick,” Pei Chenhao said calmly, then looked outside at the weather, ”Being sick in this kind of weather seems most comfortable when you’ve overeaten, right?”

Overeaten? And still comfortable?

Luo Qianqian didn’t know how to describe the kid’s train of thought and sighed, ”Why do I feel like his mom is going to want to kill me?”

Qin Nuan smiled and said nothing, but her expression showed a bit of pity for Pei Chenhao.

She hardly ever saw the Qin Family Parents nowadays, but she still had her brother. And it was after she finished her college entrance exam that the two had left to travel the world.

Luo Qianqian checked the time, then went out to eat with Qin Nuan and the two boys.

At Lu Simiao’s strong insistence, the meal couldn’t be too greasy, too spicy, or have too much fat...

In the end, they surprisingly chose hotpot...

Isn’t the yuanyang hotpot half spicy? Do beef and lamb slices have no fat?

However, seventy percent of the table full of dishes was eaten by the two kids, of which seventy percent was eaten by Pei Chenhao alone, who consumed half of the total amount by himself as just a kid. Luo Qianqian and Qin Nuan were quite astonished.

And after the meal, they even wanted ice cream. How had she not noticed that Lu Simiao still had such a childish side?

Luo Qianqian thought to herself, When it comes to food, all principles are just for show.

After they finished eating, they dropped the two off at their residence and left some money before they finally ambled back to the dormitory.

But they found the atmosphere in the dormitory was a bit off.

No one was sleeping or talking; everyone was sitting on their own beds, staring silently, all sitting up straight, even the usually calm and gentle Cong Rong had a cold expression on her face.

Qin Nuan was startled, then spoke first, ”What’s going on here?”
